First Encounters by Charming Man

REVIEWED By Ann Meemken

First EncountersFirst Encounters by Charming Man
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a wonderful collection of short stories of strangers in the heat of the moment. There is a total of six stories in this collection.

Night Vision is about a man that awakes to a beautiful women by his bedside. I don't know if it was a dream or reality.

Beach Encounter is about a business man that is in need of rest and relaxation. He goes to sit on the beach and hears a woman's moans and has to go investigate what she is doing.

Mid Air Collision is about a lady and man that hit it off on a plane. They share some secrets that are very erotic.

Arianna is a young woman that is close to graduating and is summoned to the headmaster's office and he knows something that can get her expelled. Will she charm the headmaster into keeping her secret?

A Greek tragedy is about a man that is traveling and follows a local girl to her home. What she has in store for him is unknown.

The Hitcher is about a young man that passes a woman alongside the road but than throws caution to the wind and goes back to pick her up. They get to know each other on the trip. When she finally gets to her destination he wonders if he can let her go.

I can't decide which is my favorite one. I enjoyed reading this collection of short stories and look forward to reading the next collection.

Never Never Part 1
Authors Colleen Hoover and Tarryn Fisher

Charlie and Silas love each other, right? Well, they think so, but since 11:00 a.m. Wednesday neither are really sure of anything because they can't remember.

A very interesting twist with a major cliffhanger. I was drawn in immediately living the mystery with Charlie and Silas. Love the characters and the plot. I truly enjoyed a different story line.

Fortunately book two is already out, so no waiting at the end of this one.

Great collaboration by two great authors.

Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

Rock Chick Rescue (Rock Chick, #2)Rock Chick Rescue by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my second Rock Chick as the number of the series would denote but in truth I really didn't enjoy #1 that much. It's taken me a year to get round to giving the second a go but I am a big Kristen Ashley fan, so I did just that. Boy, second chances are the best. This was KA gold and I loved every long minute of it.

Jet is a 29 year old, struggling to make ends meet, with two jobs and her Mother to care for after a stroke. Jet works between a book/coffee shop and a strip club as a waitress. Eddie is part of Indy's crowd (her friend and coffee shop owner). Eddie is a cop, totally gorgeous and Jet feels out of her league. Jet is a full-on whirlwind of chaos but Eddie hangs around for months to get to know her.

This book had me laughing out loud on numerous occasions, I loved the plot, the suspense and it made feel good. I am a new recruit to the lovers of Rock Chick and I'm looking forward to devouring the rest.

Addicted to You (Addicted, #1)Addicted to You by Krista Ritchie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I'm giving this book 5 stars but it has truly messed with my head. I feel a little scarred by the journey and the ending killed me. It earns 5 stars because it is so well written and the characters whilst complex are brilliant but so screwed up.

Lily is a Calloway, rich, entitled daughter of a business giant, one of three sisters. Lily has been messed up since her teenage years with a sex addiction. I know little about this subject but this book opened my eyes to something truly destructive at the level Lily was addicted. There was nothing sexy or tantalising about it. Lily is best friends with Lo (Loren) Hale who has been an alcoholic since his teens also. They keep one another's secrets. These two are a toxic combination.

The book finishes in a difficult place and I want so much for these two. I am relieved that I have the next book to roll into when I can pluck up the courage to walk a little further with Lily and Lo. Despite the issues this book tackles, I am utterly impressed by the writing these two ladies have produced and I would highly recommend this book.

Deviant & Redemption by Jaimie Roberts

REVIEWED BY Lynette Kelly

Deviant
Jaimie Roberts

UNPUTDOWNABLE!

This is my first book by this author and wow, this is a story like no other I've read.  I was so sucked in by this book I couldn't think of anything else until I'd finished it. I would describe this book as a dark, twisted, revenge romance, that will have you staying up into the small hours until it's finished.

This story is about a girl called Tyler a who fell hard for her childhood friend Dean.  Even though they are young these two know that they are it for each other.  Circumstances happen and Dean has to leave town but promises to come back for Tyler but that doesn't happen.  Fast forward thirteen years and we see Tyler working as a journalist, she has a stranger who follows her and comes into her apartment but she has never seen this stranger and for some reason does not fear them.
Dean has an agenda, he has no shortage of money or women in his life but something happened to turn this soft natured protector into a revenge fuelled loaner.

This story is raw, dark, and totally captivating right to the end, and the ending WOW.  I need more of this amazing story.

5 FANTASTIC STARS

Redemption by Jaimie Roberts

This is the follow up to Deviant.

Thank you Jaimie for giving us a conclusion to Deviant.  I devoured the first book and was left wanting more and you totally delivered another fantastic book.  Redemption is not as dark as Deviant however, it was just as thrilling and addictive.  I thought that it was the perfect ending to Tyler and Dean's story.

Tyler has gone to extremes to get away from the only man she will ever totally love, faking her own death and moving to another country all the while trying to keep a huge secret.  She knows hat Dean will never give her up but she feels she has to get away from him to protect her and her family.
Dean is going through the motions but never giving up on his true love, he knows he has made mistakes but he will spend the rest of his days looking for and trying to convince Tyler that they should be together.

Jamie has done it again, hats off to this lady for another fantastic story.  I adored these two books, I love this author she has got herself a fan for life.

5 gorgeous rosy stars.

Ricochet by Krista Ritchie

Ricochet (Addicted, #1.5)Ricochet by Krista Ritchie
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was a very welcome continuation of the addicted series. As Lo is in rehab, the book focuses on Lily in the main.

The book picks up immediately from the end of Addicted To You and Lily is having a difficult time without Lo in her life. The silver lining is that she has come clean about her problems to Rose and a few friends. This addiction remains very difficult to navigate with cold turkey an unrealistic option.

The best bits about this book did involve Lo either in flashbacks or in the present. I can't wait to see these two together and I desperately want them to heal.

Gus by Kim Holden

REVIEWED By Micky Barnard

Gus (Bright Side, #2)Gus by Kim Holden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Bright Side leaves big shoes to fill in terms of a sequel but Kim Holden does it admirably. Gus has a different feel to Bright Side but the quality of writing is just the same.

Gus picks up where Bright Side finishes but obviously from Gus' POV. Understandably wrecked Gus feels lost but is quickly plunged back into tour life. The Gus that Bright Side knew is invisible and selfish, arrogant clichéd rocker emerges. Scout is employed to babysit arrangements for the European leg of the tour and she is unaffected by band life, focused on her job.

This book delighted, caused tears (again), warmed my soul and made me miss Bright Side terribly. Kate is 'present' in this book, but there will never be another like her.

They seem to have an attraction but they go their seperate ways for several years due to rise of the band. Very good book.

This is the 3rd part in this book. I read parts 2 and 3 back to back within a 2 day period because I couldn't stand not knowing how Jack and Haven's relationship ended up. That is how well the author pulls you into the book and into the characters. I really loved this book but don't want to say too much to spoil it for others. Bright Side (Bright Side, #1)Bright Side by Kim Holden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

6 amazing stars

This is a very hard review to write. How do you do justice to such a book without spoilers? I've put off reading Bright Side despite the recommendations from book friends but once Gus was published, it seemed like the right time.

The majority of the book is delightful. The characters are something truly special, the writing has a skillful ease and the story is wonderful until it's not. Even the difficult turn of events have a poignant beauty.

Kate is a 20 year old woman heading off to Grant college. She has no blood family left but friends who are truly family. Gus is her lifetime friend. They share everything and now that's she's moved they talk every day. They were briefly something else but now focused back on friendship. Kate is about living life to the full and seeing positives in everything. I just adored her. Kate meets a host of people at Grant including Keller.

Important things in this book: coffee, sunsets, music, I love yous, secrets, family.

No review can do justice to this book but I'm glad I finally had the courage to read it. I'm also glad I had some book friends to hold my hand. And tissues, lots of those.

Just epically beautiful.

Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

Nowhere But Here (Thunder Road, #1)Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was an epic read. Everything about it felt unique and fresh. Motorcycle Club story in YA? Yes but not like the current MC reads that are out there.

Emily is happy in her protected life at 17 with her Mum and Dad. She also has a biological father but he is a awkward yearly visit that has to be tolerated. Emily's life changes with an emotional bombshell and she is exposed to her paternal family in an extended stay. Eli, Emily's Dad is in a MC and the family are like nothing she has ever experienced. Oz a young hopeful for the MC is put on babysitting detail. He's infuriating in his attitude, venom and perfect maleness.

This story is written in dual POV and it lends so much to the story to have Emily and Oz's perspective. The characters are wonderful, the family is diverse and some of my favourites were Olivia and Eli. I would have loved to get a bit more of Eli and Emily's relationship but it was a growing, developing connection. The writing was absorbing, fairly fast paced and each scene and relationship was beautifully narrated. I was so impressed with this story and it'll be shelved in my favourites of 2015.

The publisher provided a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Burn by Allie Juliette Mousseau
5*

This is book two in The Brothers of Ink & Steel series and while it can certainly be read as a standalone, I definitely recommend you read Dare first because it was equally fantastic.

This book was such an incredible journey not only for Liam & Quinn, but also for us. Book one touched a little on what Quinn had been through in her young life, but here we are given both the nitty and the gritty and it is truly heartbreaking.

I wasn't prepared for this but I absolutely fell in love with Liam. Big, strong, tough. Loving, kind-hearted, just downright sexy! The things he went through and what he did for Quinn just reduced me to tears and tugged at my heartstrings.
Quinn is also a character that you cannot help but love. After everything she'd been through, she still had a smile and her faith in Liam. She is amazing. She is a survivor.
To read and understand what Quinn and Liam had gone through makes you realize what amazing characters with great depth and appeal Allie Juliette Mousseau has created and developed. I had smiles, laughter and tears throughout and I loved every bit of it.
I love that we got to know the other brothers a little more in this book and I really can't wait for their stories. It's also interesting learning the different dynamics between them all and with Quinn.
The story alternates both in point of view and also between the past and present and both are done brilliantly, causing no confusion. I loved this book and would definitely recommend, however there may be triggers for some.

A Different Hunger
Author Lila Richards

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is an historic paranormal romance. The historic settings are spot on and well described. I loved Rufus and his inner musings.

Rufus is a second born son to a wealthy family, so as was normal during that time, has no real direction or instruction. He lives in a small apartment spending his time gambling and falling in love with the wrong woman. Upon once again embarrassing his father he is sent away to New Zealand to live with an Uncle. On the voyage to his new home, his life is changed forever when he meets and falls in love with Serafina.

A Different Hunger is a well written and enticing story. I enjoyed and connected with the characters; even the darker ones. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for paranormal romance or historic romance with a paranormal twist.

Jade has to deal with some difficult situations, mostly of her own making but a few that were thrown at her and navigating the waters with her was a great experience.

Bad Publicity is funny, clever, angsty, romantic and just a great read. This is going to be a must read series as all the characters are great in their own way and have a story to tell. I am looking forward to more from this series and these two great authors.

I had been intending on buying this book because all the buzz was good and then I was lucky enough to win a copy. I had no idea the premise only that people were liking the story.

I am an 80's girl, albeit a bit older than Nicholas in his story, and I related to the hair spray, dark eyeliner and the clothes. His vivid description of the "clicks", the music, the clothing, hair, etc., took me back and I felt like I was right there in the story with him. So many of the characters I could relate to myself or someone I knew back in the day.

Nicholas' journey and summer of self discovery was poignant and beautiful. Kim was only there for a fraction of time, but opened up his world. I had a "Kim" and I hope all of you did or do in your future.

Nicholas has written an amazing story and brought back many great memories for me. Thanks for the experience!

finding Reese by Imy Santiago

REVIEWED by Ann Meemken

finding Reese. (SAFELIGHT, #2)finding Reese. by Imy Santiago
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

In Chasing Reese we were introduced to these wonderful characters. The connection that Catalina, Stryder and Jackson share is beautiful. There friendship grows because they challenge each other, push each other out of there comfort zone, listen to each other and most of all show love for one another. When I got to the end of Chasing Reese it ends in the cliffhanger and I was dieing to know if he was going to be found.

Which leads us into Finding Reese. I knew this was going to be an incredible continuation and it was. It was brilliant. I loved that the bracelet that Catalina gave to Jackson is what led the rescuers to find him. Catalina and Stryder knew in there heart that he was alive and they had to find him.

I loved it. I was so emotional through out the whole book. Imy captured the feeling and emotions of the characters like they were speaking there parts to her. Catalina and Stryder shows what a true friends are by being there to help Jackson during his recovery. When Stryder goes on a photo assignment, Catalina takes over his care. She is there to help when he wants to give up. She is there to listen to him and make sure he is pushing himself to get better. His goal is to get better so he can snowboard once again.

Catalina and Jackson have a surprise for Stryder when he returns from his assignment. Catalina has always thought she has two left feet and can't dance. She knows that Stryder loves to dance and she wants to be able to dance with her man. Jackson wants to teach her how to dance and it also helps him in his recovery. Styrder has a few surprises of his own too. I can't say anymore without giving away the ending. I loved the ending and it sets up for the next book. I can't wait to read more about there story.

One Wild Ride
Shyla Colt

Josephine is sassy and strong. Raised by a single mom who is an ex biker babe. The MC represents everything Joey doesn't want, or so she though until she meets Moose.

Moose is a hot biker who is determined to remain single, that is until he meets Joey. She is something special and even he can see that.

Joey's past catches up to her and throws Moose for a loop. Can their relationship survive it?

Ms. Colt has well developed characters that are relate-able. When the girls got together I felt like I could be one of them. Moose is hot and sexy and loves the dirty talk. I haven't read book 1, and don't think you would have to read it first, but it would definitely give you a little more background to this story. I would suggest reading it first. I enjoyed One Wild Ride and would recommend to anyone who likes MC books.

Losing Faith
by Robbie Cox

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

Fantasies...sexual fantasies; a taboo subject? For most I would think yes. Selby ask his wife what her fantasies were and opened a door that he wasn't sure he could handle the consequences. Selby and Faith agree to explore their fantasies together and progress to agree to some separate exploration. I didn't feel it was about cheating as they deeply loved each other and openly discussed everything they did without their spouse. Faith does a 180 from shy and reserved about her sexual desires to aggressively exploring them. It causes a strain on their relationship that you will have to read the book to find out how and if they survive.

I must say I love Selby. He is true to himself and deeply loves his wife. He wants her to explore herself and share it with him. Did he ask for more than he bargained?

Yes there are erotic scenes in this book (hot and steamy) but there are emotional discoveries by Selby and Faith that are the focus.

This is my first book by Robbie Cox and I enjoyed the journey.

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Kerrisha loses her parents at a young age so she and her brother are raised by their Uncle. She is trained for missions for her clan and started missions at around the age of 12. Kerrisha is destined to be the Fifth Guardian. There has not been a guardian in 500 years. Kerrisha and Kerreth meet and she knows immediately they are meant to be together.

This was difficult read due to the sheer volume of information. The history of the clans, the explanation of different abilities, the information gathered on missions, the heritage of different characters and the ever changing situation of Keri. The plot is good and this book sets up for future books in the series to more fully develop the story without the need for so much background information.

I enjoyed the premise of the plot, the world the author is creating and all the characters. It definitely has potential for a great series.

Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

Echoes of Scotland Street (On Dublin Street, #5)Echoes of Scotland Street by Samantha Young
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I've got that complete 'feel-good' sensation that only a few authors can give me on finishing a book. Echoes lived up to the series reputation and provided a tale of struggle, joy, ink, heat and all in that lovely Scottish backdrop.

Cole is all grown up. I didn't know how to feel about his adult status or the idea of the On Dublin Street gang older, with kids, but it totally worked. Grown up Cole is a gorgeous man with a good career managing a famous tattoo parlour where he uses his artist skills. Shannon needs a job, having left Glasgow and her estranged family behind and turns up an INKcarnate for the receptionist position. Shannon is anti-man and isn't afraid to let Cole know she isn't interested. Cole is more than skin-deep gorgeousness, he's a product of the great role models in his life, a caring friend and he feels a connection to Shannon.

This book gave all the feels. I loved both the characters but Cole was just superb. How Samantha Young writes these men, all different, I'll never know. I cannot call my favourite between Cole, Braden, Nate and Cam. I'll go with my most recent crush, Cole!

The Mad TatterThe Mad Tatter by J.M. Darhower
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Everything about this book was unusual, the story and the characters. Truly unpredictable and a unique premise.

Reece is a tattoo artist in New York. He's broke and has little going on in his life other than his young daughter Lexi. He has an acrimonious relationship with Lexi's mother but has to tow the line to keep his access. Reece has a very troubled past and is nearing the end of his five year probation. Reece meets Avery in the shop, a ballerina at Juilliard, she's totally out if his league.

I loved the backdrop of graffiti art in this story, it was novel and interesting. I didn't feel like I totally got inside Reece's head but he was an intriguing character. Lexi was a lovely little bonus in this book that added to the depth of the story.

The Unseen Promise
Ellen Mae Franklin

I was given a copy for an honest review.

The fantasy world of Tarkeenia is wonderfully described by Ms. Franklin in her story of the struggle of magic and evil. Her imaginative writing is beautiful to read. The magical and strange creatures are described so well I could picture them. There were a few to many characters introduced throughout the story, which caused me a bit of confusion.

Ms. Franklin is an excellent author who has written a fanciful story of a young man's struggles after losing his brother and the evil that grew inside him. There are several side stories that lend themselves to future stories in this series.

This is a full length fantasy/paranormal novel.

Hook

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

I am a lover of all things magic and Peter Pan. This is a unique twist on the story of Peter and Captain Hook. The story gave me the background of Archie Jameson aka Captain Hook. It wonderfully describes how Archie became Captain Hook. K.R. helps us discover why Hook dislikes Peter so, and reveals the darker side of Peter.

Hook is brilliantly written and I truly enjoyed the experience. A must read for all who love a magical story.

Kissing Madeline by Lex Martin.

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

Kissing Madeline (Dearest, #3)Kissing Madeline by Lex Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a delightful read and my first from Lex Martin. Whilst this is the third in the series, they all standalone and nothing is spoilt about the first two books.

Madeline is 'off' athletes after finding her MMA fighter boyfriend in the ultimate compromising situation. It seemed he never intended to be faithful. She has to move quickly and her friend Sherri takes her in. She's finds that she is a neighbour to her team's new quarterback, Daren. Madie is newly graduated, just starting out in her first reporting job at the local news station. She wants to be completely immersed in work as does Daren in his pre-season games and training. But there's an attraction there that distracts them both.

This was a great read. Totally absorbing and one to get lost in. For readers of the previous books, Clementine features a little in the story. There was plenty of depth in the storyline and it felt much more than a jock meets girl story. I just have to backtrack now and read the previous two books that hold equally high ratings.

This book was provided by the author in return for an honest review.

Echo by E.K. Blair

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Echo (Black Lotus, #2)Echo by E.K. Blair
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Echo
Author EK Blair

Bang ended, well, with a BANG. The sequel, Echo, begins with the prologue and moves into different points of view that give an explanation to the major cliffhanger in Bang.

Echo is as dark and twisted as Bang but on a different level. There are so many emotions and the level of depression is devastating. I can't really talk about the characters, as it would give away the surprises of this book.

You get a much deeper insight into Elizabeth/Nina and it is painful. Much is revealed about the history of different characters which left me saying, "Whoa, what just happened?".

Echo is as difficult an emotional read as Bang was and left me drained. EK has out done herself yet again.

I loved Bang, I loved Echo, and can't wait for Hush!

The Diary of Bink Cummings, Volume 3
Bink Cummings

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Love my dirty mouthed Sacred Sisters and Sacred Sinners. They have outdone themselves yet again entertaining me.

Bink and Big learn a lot about each other and about love. Bink's emotions are a pregnant brain roller coaster. The supporting characters are crazy fun as always. Gunz is just a wonderful guy and even with his proclivity for naughty sex you can't help love him and how he supports Bink. Deke is just a big ole bag of sweet hotness. Jez is about as loyal a friend as a girl could ask and ever so funny. There are some interesting plot twist as in the first two books.

I can't say enough how much I enjoy Bink and would love to have a beer with her. Looking forward to Big's POV and hoping we get more Bink after Harley is born.

Love your work Bink Cummings, keep it up.

Unspoken Temptation (Unspoken #4)Unspoken Temptation by Gabbie S. Duran
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the story of Trey Johnson and Victoria Montgomery. Trey is Matt Garcia's best friend and represents both Matt and his wife, Abigail's careers. Through that connection he meets Victoria. They seem to hate each right from the start and sparks start flying. Both of them fight their feelings for each other which leads to some interesting twists. This book really makes you feel for both the Trey and Victoria and I love how we got to revisit with Matt and Abby. Very well written. I think this book is my favorite of the Unspoken Series.

Amy is a young veterinarian who owns her own clinic. Stoney brings in his dog for help after office hours. Stoney turns out to be undercover and Amy gets pulled into that world.

It's really hard not say too much about this book but I don't want to spoil it for other reads. I absolutely loved this book. I seriously sat down and did not move once I started this book until I finished reading it. It was that good.

Amy and Stoney have a real connection. The book is everything you could want...hotness, suspense, drama. I can't say enough good things about this book. It very, very well written and sucks you right in. Great Job Maryann!

Bittersweet by Noelle Adams (Audible Version)

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

BittersweetBittersweet by Noelle Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is a tale of grief and second chance love depicted with realism. I listened to this book on audio and the narration was good. Zoe meets and marries Josh, their relationship is full and everything she hoped it would be until Josh dies from an aggressive cancer leaving Zoe with their little boy Logan, only a few months old. Zoe met Josh through her then friend Adam. Adam became estranged to boh Zoe and Josh early on in their relationship, so she doesn't appreciate Adam's bossy and entitled approach to managing her life after Josh's death. Adam is a cold fish, everything precise, no emotion. Zoe is an open book, letting her emotions and grief spill out. One thing is clear though, Adam is grieving for Josh too.

Whilst this may sound a depressing premise for a book, it really isn't. Josh's death is told with minimal detail and in retrospect. The grief journey feels realistic and I warmed to both the characters in this book. Logan, Zoe and Josh's son is a well written addition and a great buffer between the two main characters.

M&M Marvellously Mind-blowing

Hold on to your hats people, you're in for the read of your life.
These books just keep getting better and better. Actually better is not even a good enough word. Epic is what I'm thinking. No need for the heating to be turn on when reading about Mitch and Cody. These outrageously good looking men are in a league of there own. Mitch Knox is a US Marshal. He's had his fair share of men but never anything that meant something to him. He's busy working on a case which he feels passionate about. He's got a kind heart, great personality, wicked sense of humour and mega hot. One thing missing in his life is having someone to go home to, share things with, maybe it's just not for him but he sure does sound lonely. Cody Turner, hot Texas state trooper. He's got every he wants, great job and that's about to get even better, he has a huge family who all love him, he adores his nieces and nephews. He will do anything for his family. So kind to everyone, very polite, a little quiet but such a great character. Cody meets Mitch at a club one night, he really regrets being there but Mitch being the loud and forward one does not take no for an answer. Lucky Cody. When Mitch is called away abruptly, Cody sees it as a sign of not being meant to be, he can't think straight around Mitch. Mitch on the other hand is holding out until the day he can be holding his hot Texas cowboy again. Not letting Cody slip through his fingers, he rings Cody, much to Cody's surprise but he likes Mitch that he can not deny. So although they are miles apart they speak through texts and calls. Mitch persuades Cody to visit and honestly it's the best days of both their lives. Mitch says what's on his mind but Cody holds back not believing anything can possibly come from spending two days with the mega hot US Marshal. Don't they realise love always finds a way? Things do take a terrible turn for the worst. The case Mitch is working on rolls over to his personal life. Fear grips his heart, all he can think about is Cody. One thing is for certain Mitch and Cody are the perfect explosive couple. If you like M&M genre, this is a must read.

M&M- Magically Magnificent

Welcome to the world of Colton and Jace. Who's ready for one seriously hot story, filed with love. The pages are just bursting with the deepest meaningful love one can ever feel.
Colton best known as Colt is a very talented footballer about to get signed up. His life is all mapped out for him, his future is looking bright just the way dear daddy wanted it, but isn't there always something missing. Colt had girlfriends, he's a hot footballer, everybody wants him. What he wants is Jace. Dream yummy number 2 in this brilliant book. Jace is a wonderful character, he's gay and proud, he's a cheer leader and very good at it, with the support of his family, he can live life the way he wants to. Colt and Jace get together very unexpectedly, well it takes Jace by surprise but he in no way protests. What an explosive couple. So once is not enough for Colt, he feels a connection to Jace and Jace thinks this is just another broken heart waiting to happen. After a wonderful vacation they both know what they want and who they want to be with, unfortunately Colt's dad has different ideas. Colt is badly beaten and Jace is left not knowing what has happened to Colt. It's actually heart breaking. I could feel the love these two had and I wanted them to have there happily ever after. Life goes on and you can either sink or swim. Colt didn't just sink, the man drowned, he merely existed through life, feelings were a thing of the past. Jace made his dreams come true but no one ever came close to settling in his heart like Colt. Ten years later they meet. WOW!! It's dramatic, it's sad. I had tears of sadness and joy. I met some great characters in this book. Colt gets help from a wonderful doctor called Dc Knox, who then brings in his son to help. Hello Mitch. He's a hottie!! I'm looking forward to reading book two. These books can be read as standalone but trust me you won't want to miss any, so read this one first. Kindle Alexander thank you for bringing Colt and Jace into my life.

Spice by Scarlet Smith

SpiceSpice by Scarlet Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted this book for an honest review.

This was such a fun read. Everybody should definitely add Spice in their life. The main characters, Jess and Max were a great, fun loving couple. Jess worked part time for a magazine but one day her boss decided she wanted Jess to write on a daily blog about sex, particularly her own sex life with Max but with a twist, she had to work through a list. Well would your partner agree to you writing about his performance every night? Max is a great guy, works hard, it's clear he loves Jess. His first reaction is a big NO but later he agrees to try as long as she writes how good he is in bed LOL. Men such predictable creatures at times. So the list, let's just say it's a kinky list. To find out what's on that list, you'll have to read. Read what they do and don't do. Jess and Max's friends know as they kept track of her updates on the blog. Max would be patted on the back by his mates. Jess would be asked twenty questions by her girlfriends, some friends even thought about trying a few things. As you can imagine, Max was in heaven, Jess was the best partner any man could ask for. Jess loved Max and she could see them married sometime in the future. No couple can have the perfect relationship, we wouldn't be normal if we didn't disagree from time to time or feel differently about certain situations but if you love someone deep down and your relationship is strong enough you can overcome most things. A few rocky moments in this book had me thinking, oh no where's the Author going with this. I enjoyed it so much, I was hoping for a smiley happy ending. I recommend you Spice up your to be read list and add this book.

This is Perkins story, one of the handsome Kingston children. Perkin is blinded by his need for revenge after his father's death. He unknowingly frees Shay from the hands of her touchy step-father, but that leaves her with no funds and no protection. Since he put her in that position he extends his protection to Shay.

Shay and Perkin are drawn into a mystery that may wreck them both.

I enjoyed this third book in the White Rose Trilogy and Stacy once again has written a wonderful historic story of romance and intrigue.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1)The Maze Runner by James Dashner
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a fantastic YA read, full of suspense, zero romance and fast-paced. I haven't seen the film, so I went in cold to this book and was gripped from the dramatic beginning. Thomas is delivered into the glade in a steel box. His first memory is the box, but something about this place with walls of hundreds of feet high, is familiar. The glade is full of teenage boys like himself and Thomas is newbie with many questions and no answers. What becomes quickly clear to him is that the walls house a maze and the maze houses creatures that scare the life out of the other boys. There is a 'Lord of the Flies' kind of feeling to the backdrop of this story but it is still unique. The characters are brilliantly written, their hierarchy fascinating and the story so packed full of twists and turns that you cannot help but be absorbed by each page. I would highly recommend moving out of your normal genre to give this book a go, the rest of the series promises to be equally as good.

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

No Ordinary Billionaire (The Sinclairs, #1)No Ordinary Billionaire by J.S. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

No Ordinary Billionaire is well written and kept my attention. Loved the interaction between characters. JS has written another great story.

Dante Sinclair was born into money but his calling was to be a homicide detective. He lives on the money he makes as a detective and rarely touches the money he inherited. Dante is injured on the job and returns to his hometown to recover in Amesport, MA.

Sarah Baxter is a child prodigy who became a doctor and moved to Amesport leaving behind a scary past in Chicago. She loves the little town and the friendly, if nosy, locals.

When Dante returns to Amesport his care is transferred to Dr. Baxter. They have crazy chemistry. The way Sarah analyzes everything is entertaining.

If you love a hot alpha and a clever female you will love this book.
