Katy Evans delivered with Commander in Chief and then some. You need to read Mr. President before Commander in Chief.

“One day I'll do all the things I need to. And she'll be mine. Mark my words."

"Does she know this yet?" I ask, quietly.

"I just told her." he says.”

Katy delved much deeper into the White House life than I anticipated. It was eye opening and gave so much more depth to the story. People, including myself, tend to romanticize what life in the White House would be and this is a small glimpse as to what it really would be like.



I feel it pertinent to mention that I would so Lewinsky Matthew Hamilton but alas he heart lies elsewhere. The story picks up a few weeks before Matthew is sworn into office. Charlotte left shortly after the election and returns for his inauguration and so the story begins.



Yes this book is hot and sexy but Evans shows her ability to write a story that has great depth and meaning. She gives us all the feels from both characters. The personal growth of Matthew and Charlotte made this a wonderful read. Political issues are more in the fore front of this story and dang if I didn't wish we had a candidate like him for real.

Real Good Man by Meghan March

The characters of this book made for a highly entertaining few hours of reading! Logan and Banner meet over a text and the rest is kind of history.

Banner is an awesome character! Fun, honest, unapologetic are three words that come to mind when I think about her. She's a self-confessed good-time girl and doesn't have any qualms with letting people know that. She starts something of a friendship with Logan, even texting him when out on dates questioning whether 'a real man would do/say/drink XYZ' it was fun. Did I mention that Banner is smart? Like, super smart. She's not all ditz and zero substance. Quite the opposite, actually. And she meets her match in Logan.

I don't know what to say about Logan but he's definitely book boyfriend material! He's a sexy, dirty alpha with the proverbial heart of gold. He's a mechanic in a small town and trying to establish a good reputation for himself and his business. He's also determined to show Banner what it's like to be with a real good man and some of the things he said had me in swoonville - very sweet! Loved him! When circumstances push Banner to move (albeit temporarily) to the same town as Logan, it's when the fun and games really start.

I reaaaaally loved this book. It was short enough to read within an hour or two and engaging enough that I simple refused to put it down. The characters are just completely captivating. I fell in love with Banner within the first few pages and in lust with Logan shortly thereafter. The story wasn't one that's done to death: it was fresh and exciting, lovely and romantic, and sexy AF. Just fantastic.

This book is part of a duet, so obviously it ends of a cliffhanger but it's only a very minor one that I could absolutely deal with (I normally avoid cliffys like the plague) and no doubt you can too. Thankfully we don't have a huge wait for book two!

I've read a few books from this author but not for a while and I'd forgotten how riveting her writing is. Of course, I'm now getting ready to go back and read the ones I've missed!

This book has been one of my most anticipated reads of 2016/17. Easy and Dani were introduced in book one of the series and I have wanted to read their story ever since. These two have had something special about their characters that has captured the attention of many fans of the series. I literally devoured this book during a 12 hour period.

There's been a theme running between these two of unrequited love for years. A strong friendship, a close bond but no romance. To appreciate the journey these two have travelled you must read this series in order. Dani eventually begins to find some inner strength and belief in this story and I enjoyed seeing her transformation. Easy is the most selfless man with the kind of deep love that any woman would dream of. As Easy became Alex he grew even further in my affections.

This book delivered on a story fans have been after. It met my expectations and I adored the story, the emotion, the writing and the characters. On broken wings is my favourite of the series and I find that I would like more flying aces.

Lock & Key by Cat Porter

I am avid reader of MC books. I am fascinated by the whole life style. Lock & Key is a different take on the MC life.

Cat Porter paints an amazing picture with her words. Her characters are well developed and usually containing great depth. Grace and Miller/Lock are no exception. She tells this story in flashbacks and it flows wonderfully.

Grace is a survivor. Strong and resilient. "Sixteen years ago I had stopped harboring expectations for too much more than pleasantness in my life. I had learned the bitter lesson that low expectations were the best way to go."

Miller/Lock is the bada** biker with a soft squishy center. He is frustrating at times but be patient my little grasshopper as all will be revealed.

Another wonderful read by Cat Porter. This can be read as a standalone.

Everyone needs a Leo so K.A. could you hook me up?

I know it has been quoted several times but it really sums up this book.

"I didn't know what I was waiting for until I found a lost soul who belonged to me."

Collision is told in alternating POV's which I enjoy. I feel like I get inside both characters heads and understand their struggles. And Leo and Jules both have struggles. They are from different worlds but both with real heartache.

Couldn't wait to read the next book to get more of these two. Apparently I am a glutton for punishment and heartache.

This is a beautifully written angsty love story. There is a cliffhanger but Impact is already out so no worries.

The title couldn't be any more perfect.

First off this book is definitely not for everyone. If a young girl and an older guy is disturbing to you walk away. There are multiple triggers for readers: violence and abuse are just a few. I, in general, don't have a problem with anything if it is well written and makes sense in the story.

I am okay with the subject matter in the context of this book. The dire situation of Wavy and Donal is heartbreaking. It is even more disturbing that these are realities for too many children.

Kellen is just a guy trying to help out a little girl and through time and general proximity things change for both of them.

Greenwood tells this story in multiple points of view which is unusual but really was perfect for this book. Wavy is an exceptional character that I think about daily since I finished reading and am sure I will for awhile to come.

"I could have told him there was no sense in rushing toward being dead. It would find you soon enough, anbd before it did there were pleasures to make your heart hurt less."

All the Ugly and Beautiful Things is a story that will stay with me. I will ponder the shit that was Wavy's young world. I will ponder the wrongest of horrible people having children to mentally and physically abuse. I will bring it up in conversation with my book friends over wine. Yeah, it will be around awhile.

FRANCO by Kim Holden

I feel like I should first confess that I have a girl crush on Kim Holden. This Bright Side series has kept me addicted like a heroine junkie. Holden has this amazing brain that writes these amazing stories. Oh wow maybe I have a brain crush on her brain.

Franco is a great character. An all around good guy raised in a good family. The drummer in Rook, the band that Gus is the lead singer. His wit is charming and made me smile and laugh. He has manners and a conscience. Not something you see often in a rock band. Franco was a good friend to Kate which wins a lot in my opinion.

Gemma. Geez I loved her from the git go. Her confidence and sassy mouth reminded me of an Australian author/friend of mine and I truly was looking to see if she was a friend of Holden's and had been used in the book. Turns out Holden has her own awesome Gemma and didn't need mine.

Loved this story. Loved getting time with Gus. Love the content and loved the ending. Is that enough love for you?
