Sure Shot by Sarina Bowen

Sure Shot is the second chance romance Bess Berringer and Mark ‘Tank’ Tankiewicz didn’t know they needed.
Having just spent the last week off the grid and working on her five-year plan, Bess is stunned to see Mark at a Bruisers get-together especially given that he’s arrived from a rival team and his wife is nowhere to be seen. Bess is no longer the newbie sports agent she was nine years ago and she’s made some huge decisions with both her professional and personal lives.
Mark has just arrived in Brooklyn where he simply does not want to be. His wife has asked for a divorce, his teammates don’t trust him, and he’s living in a hotel. The one thing going for him is that he’s back in contact with Bess Berringer and he’s not willing to let her push him aside.

These two have a lot of issues to work through and a lot of heartache to deal with. I did feel that things sort of started up a bit too quickly at the beginning of their reconnection but having said that, I quite enjoyed the serious turns their relationship took. Overall, this was a welcome addition to the Bruiser family and I loved seeing more from past characters.

I picked up this book, my first in the series, and had it read before going to bed. It is a complete standalone and even though you will get the previous characters popping in, you won’t feel left out or behind in any way. It’s a very quick read of a second chance romance.

Katie is a breakup specialist. She is “the” Breakup Artist. She will help you end your relationship so each of you walk away with a sense of full closure. What got her started was her very own heartbreak from Wes. She has made a name for herself in New York, but now she has been summoned to the west coast to help out an A-Lister. The only thing is, Wes is also there to oversee things as the lawyer to the star.

There were some funny moments throughout the book. There is also a lot of name dropping which gives you a very Hollywood feel about it all. At times I felt both the couples lacked immaturity, and the storyline had stages of unauthentic events. I liked that Katie had found herself and was more comfortable around Wes in LA. He too had changed since they had dated five years ago and I wanted more paragraphs from his POV. He was very swoon worthy. I feel fans from the previous books will get a kick out of Katie and Wes’s story.

I absolutely loved this story, I have read all of Rebecca Sharps, books and this one does not disappoint. The clever way she weaves the characters past and new is amazing and this is one well-written book. The book further explains what happened in the book Redemption to Larry Ocean and why he was the way he was! I loved it!

Poor Laurel Ocean has returned to Carmel Cove to bury her grandfather and she meets the town and all those who love her and those amazing memories that she fights. She is determined to leave quickly but Eli and the town have other ideas.

Will Laurel and Eli find their happy ever after or will the beast in town who wants her café get to her like he did her Pap? Eli promised to keep her safe, you’ll have to read this book to find out if he does. Or will they end before they even get started. This book will take you on an emotional roller-coaster, but you will love the ride all the way.

Bravo again Rebecca. I cannot wait for the sequel and Mick and Jules story.
This is a must-read, I read this book as an ARC promising to give my honest review for Joandisalovebooks blog.

Riot House by Callie Hart is the first book I have read of hers. It’s a Bully Romance Series told in Dual POVS.

'Wolf Hall Academy' located in New Hampshire, isn't a regular boarding school, it's where the military and high-profile workers dump their kids. Elodie's father, Colonel Stillwater has decided mid-term to send her there too, taking her away from the life she knew in Tel Aviv. This is the last place she wants to be, but her bullying father doesn’t give her any choice in the matter, and she would never argue with him!

She arrives in the night and it met by Wren Jacobi a ‘Riot House’ boy who has the run of the school! He in intrigued from the beginning! But the other Riot House boys see her an inconvenience and they do all they can to make her life a living hell

Wren sets eyes on Wolf Hall Academy’s newest student, he sees her as an easy target just a quiet unassuming girl. He knows nothing of her troubled past, of her mother’s suspicious death, or the horrific treatment she endured at the hands of her psychotic father.

He finds out that he has met his match with little Elodie Stillwater!
The story takes lots of twists and turns and they are too good to spoil! You get to find out about their pasts and how this shaped them into who they are now, it’s a great love story. You really do need to read this book!

I absolutely loved these characters and could not put my kindle down; I shall be reading more of Callie Hart’s book now I have discovered her!

This book from the amazingly talented Author Kindle Alexander came to my possession at a time when the world is going through an unprecedented situation, COVID-19 arrived and changed the shape of the world and life seize to continued as we knew it, solace for some of us came to be in a form of books, in this case, an exceptional book.

Forever was a completely charming and heartwarming story. It tugged my emotions, it reduced me to tears on many occasions but it also filled me with joy.

Robert and Landon's attraction is off the charts, from their very first encounter the connection is palpable, they completely envelop you into their little cocoon, and allow you to be a voyeur into their sexual and emotional discovery.

After reading Always and loving that story too, this almost felt like the page had turned and we carried onwards.
Robert and Landon both are seeking their HEA and in order to achieve that they must dig deep into their emotions, fight their personal demons, take that leap of faith and get rid of the emotional baggage that is preventing them to achieve the perfect bliss.
Sometimes fighting for what you want makes achieving it the most rewarding.

Once again, Kindle has written the perfect book, I will be FOREVER grateful for the opportunity to read and review this book.

This was a sweet and exciting second-chance romance. Hunter and Presley met and fell in love some years ago only for Hunter to take off on a mysterious dream job and not be heard from again. For ten whopping years! They’re thrown back together for the sake of their jobs and it doesn’t take them long to find themselves falling all over again but really, what’s changed? Hunter will still up and go on his next big adventure once it’s over, right?!

I feel like this book was a journey for both Hunter and Presley and also for me as a reader. All the discoveries they made created a huge element of a deeper romance which was wonderful and something I hugely enjoyed. I could understand Presley’s apprehension in letting Hunter back in on an emotional level and the way that aspect played out was perfect for them. I really felt like for most of the book I was waiting for Hunter to kind of grow up - I don’t know if that’s the right way to put it but I can’t articulate well at the moment - and it pleased me to no end when he finally did.

it was amazing

I read the story VOODOO BURNING by NM Catalano. This story sucks you in. I love how descriptive it is. It sets the stage and the tone of story. Ignatius is a plantation heir and Dominique is a descendant of a powerful voodoo priestess. They have an explosive connection which neither can deny. They are also working a case that can put them in a dangerous position. This story keeps you at the edge of your seat. The ending was done beautifully.
