I really liked this short story introducing readers to a fantasy/ paranormal world that Ms. Zyon has created. It has all the elements of a great series. I will be reading the next segments of this fascinating tale. I adore Gaius and Emily! Give this book a read, you wont be disappointed!

Clash by Sawyer Bennett

I was soooooo excited when I realized that Sawyer Bennett was writing a spinoff to the Legal Affairs series (which I LOVED!). I immediately put my hand right up for an arc and I'm not disappointed in the least. We first met Cal and Macy in the aforementioned series and they seem to have a love-hate relationship but clearly, the insults are just a form of foreplay. This novella is mainly written in Cal's POV with a few diary entries from Macy. I already love Cal - he's a sweet guy (with a kinky side) who's ready to settle and I'm intrigued by (and a little in awe) of Macy. I'm really eager to find out what the story is with Macy and what she's hiding.

I really enjoyed this latest book in the Pandemic Sorrow series! This is the story of Roxy and follows along a similar timeline to Jag (Roxy's love interest). While it's the companion novel to Jag, it can definitely be read as a standalone, which was great for me as I read Jag when it first released. We really get to understand Roxy in this book and learn what makes her the way she is and in this regard, the book is great. Having said that, I found some of her actions a bit annoying and some of the story a little repetitive. I will say that the author isn't shy about writing a gritty rock story rather than glamorizing and for that, I LOVE the series. I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.

Firstly, let me just say, anytime I get to read a Rose Mystery, is a happy day for me. And this book made my day! If you have never picked up a Rose Gardner Mystery, then you can start with this book but you are definitely missing out on a brilliant series. This is number seven of the series and there are three novellas as well. If you have already started this series, then you are sure going to love Thirty-Four as it is jammed packed. Denise's writing is pure magic with this series and this book in particular. It falls under the Mystery / Women Sleuth category but you could add romantic comedy as well.

In Thirty-Four, Rose is at a loss as to how she can help her best friend Neely Kate recover from depression. One attempt is to take her to the Hair Salon for some pampering, which does cheer her up, but not as much as running into Hilary there and Neely Kate ripping into her. Rose then decides that solving a twenty-five year old mystery is going to keep Neely Kate occupied. The two of them set off even with Joe's blessing, as how much trouble can they get into?

Rose and Neely Kate, have a great banter and they join up with Miss Mildred, Rose's old neighbour. Neely Kate has so much fun at Miss Mildred's expense, you will be laughing out loud like I was. Others from previous books are back too. Skeeter is still the current Crime Boss and uses Rose's abilities again as the Lady in Black. Joe's sister Kate is still in town, popping up at odd times. And of course there is Mason, Rose's Assistant DA boyfriend. Their relationship is getting stronger ever day and they are even talking about marriage down the line. Mason is still looking into saving Rose from false allegations that Joe's father JR made up. These two will do anything to protect each other.

Rose, with Neely Kate and the White Tiger aka Miss Mildred, get themselves into some funny predicaments and a little bit of danger before they uncover the mystery. I didn't not see the ending coming, as I am sure most won't and I will be waiting on tender hooks for the next book which is due in November, 2015.

I loved book one in this series and the conclusion was all I had hoped.

Saturday is trying to deal with the heart break of her discovery. She is strong and retains her sense of humor and her drive for success as an artist, even through her pain.

Mark refuses to give up on her and the love he has for her.

And what exactly do you say...when the flavor of fear is on your tongue and the warmth of lust sits on your lips?

Whatever you thought was coming, you were wrong. A great twist and a lovely ending to a wonderful series.

Mobile Pleasure is the 2nd installment in The Chasers Series. Josie suffered abuse as a child and Tanya does an excellent job of connecting you with Josie's emotions and her way of dealing with the abuse as an adult. She is independent and strong... except when it comes to Sam. Josie is a sub at a local BDSM club.

Sam is a hot Dom, who is an all around good guy, if a bit of a player. You have to fall in love with him. He is a great friend, an attentive employer and a considerate Dom. Sam also loves his dog; who doesn't love a man that loves his dog. ;-)

The two of them are amazing together. There is a great twist at the end that you never seen coming. This book is a bit hard core so readers be aware. I thought the book was well written and I connected emotionally with the characters.

What is on top of the list? Revenge. April is learning the art of the con so she can exact revenge on the Hawthornes, the couple who ruined her life 14 years ago by sending her parents to jail. So now she is going by the name Sophie and is back in town to take them down. Then she meets Liam, the Hawthorne's son. Liam is intrigued by Sophie. Could this be her way in to carry out her plan? I enjoyed this book. It leaves you hanging a bit by the end and anxious for the next book. I want to see how this ends.
