This is a sweet novella about Porter and Brinley's that we met in Wife Number 7. I strongly advise that you read it first.

It isn't always perfect, but it's a growing experience for both of them. Porter has his struggles and Brinley has so much adjusting from her former life. His Only Wife gave me closure on these characters that I loved.

Melissa Brown does a beautiful job with this novella and this series. I love them all and love her characters.

I highly recommend Melissa Brown's The Compound Series.

I would class this as women's fiction. The audiobook was based on a very interesting concept. Emma, the heroine went on a trip to Africa and because of a natural disaster, everyone presumes she's dead. When she returns to pick her life back up, she can't. I thoroughly enjoyed the intrigue in the early parts of the book but equally liked reading life beginning to return to some normality. The relationships in this book are hugely complex and betrayal is on the menu from multiple angles.

Emma herself was both an empowered character and wishy washy at times. However, I think her experiences earned her the chance to be weak in certain situations. Dominic was at first a bit of a hero in my eyes but later he annoyed me. Craig left me frustrated.

This is my first book by Catherine Mckenzie but I will be reading more by her.

This was a well narrated story with emotions captured well and a pleasing voice that seemed to fit the character.

The Fix was an enjoyable story and the first I read from Sylvie. I think we all need some of those once in a while.
What I liked about is that is very real, in spite of being a fiction story, we have all been on that side of the spectrum when life has thrown us of balance and we have to juggle and deal with the challenges of life.
Laney is such a beautiful girl who is just, to the best of her abilities, dealing with the trials and tribulations of being a single mum at the young age of 25, her son is challenging and her brother is happy just to roam around the house like the world doesn’t deserve him. Finally when he is forced to step up to the plate he lands a construction job with a company run by Nate Murphy.
Nate is a confident and hardworking character, super family oriented who has moved back home to take over the company after his dad had a heart attack. As the man in charge he has to play the part and just make sure the job gets done, so when he takes on the latest job and a woman stands up as part of the neighbourhood watch he can’t seem to help gravitate towards her, even is she can make his life and choices more complicated.
A feel good and heartfelt story, for those who love a HEA.

I loved Jeremy's lies.

Jeremy is a loving guy. He is in love with his best friend Sadie. There is a few things stopping him from telling her how he feel's her size and not wanting to wreck their friendship because he doesn't want to lose that. Sadie is such a loving and forgiving girl. She has been in love with Jeremy her best friend. They have such a great friendship. It was beautiful watching their friendship grow into so much more. Jeremy was such a jerk to her at times, I wanted to strangle him. This story was beautifully written and evoked so much emotion. I loved that Sadie was plus sized girl and that she had those that looked past that. An incredible story N Nieto! I look forward to your next release.

The ending and indeed the whole book of Sugar Daddy (book one) packed a punch. This book picks up exactly at that point. Sugar Rush delivers in tension, I would say more so than book one. There is an ebb and flow to the tension, with moments of calm, but you can never quite relax with the underpinning background of Sela's life and Beck's business deals. Much is revealed in terms of both these issues.

Sela and Beck were more deeply explored as characters in this book and I do like Sela. Beck still has me giving the odd shifty side eye; I'm not quick to forgive his transgressions. Relationships deepen and side characters are strong. Sawyer Bennett has written what I believe to be her worst evil character ever in JT. There isn't one redeeming factor in his favour and it was my pleasure to revile him.

The storyline went along lines I was expecting and there was something about it that didn't engage me quite as much as book one, however, the book ends in fine jaw-dropping style and I am completely invested in the series as I await book three.

This was a fantastic read and my favourite of Melissa Landers so far. This book had a bunch of diverse characters: master, servant, fugitives, space pirates, rich kids, orphans and princesses. I was pulled into this from page one until the end.

I started off by hating Doran's entitled a**. This man needed to grow up. His treatment of Solara was pretty abhorrent. There's a but, his character development was huge, yet credible. Solara was a veritable spitfire of a personality, trying to find freedom and life in any place she could get it. She was likeable and had real integrity of character. There's some great chemistry between the lead characters but the romance doesn't overtake the story, and I liked that. My favourite side characters were Renny, the Captain and the pirate leader.

Some of the bad guys in this book are pretty grim, Landers created some intriguing characters and species of human. I felt the peril, with my heart in my mouth at times. The book is definitely left open for more, which I look forward to reading more of.

The Spiral Down is the heartwarming story of Henry, a rock star, who has had to work and fight to achieve success and arrive to that place all musicians dream of; Stardom.
His life seems all complete fulfilling but there is still that element missing from it, true love.
The people that get close to him want the exterior, the sexy rockstar, the glitzy and glamour that comes with the job, but Henry really just wants to be normal for a little while and leave the job and fame when he is in the comfort of his own space, and so the people who he meets, never stick around for long.
Henry is a complex character, on paper he is so arrogant and with so many phobias and insecurities, but as you read on and completely submerge yourself in the story you can't help but feel for him, like your heart is being ripped from your chest kind of feeling but our Henry's life is turned upside down the day he meets Evan.

Evan is such a loveable character, from the very first line we fall madly in love with him. He has his head screwed on right and he knows what he wants and goes for it. Flying is what Evan loves more, being a pilot gives him that sense of freedom and brings him peace. He hates labels and he has had his share of bad luck with relationships which makes me guard his heart. Completely out of the blue he finds himself in the presence of Henry when he is in need of a pilot.
The initial meeting between Evan and Henry doesn’t go well, actually it goes terribly wrong and Evan assumes Henry to be the typical rockstar that needs an entourage at his beck and call and is surrounded by screaming and adoring fans. However, Evan is about to realise how wrong he is about Henry and how far from what people see he actually is. Their attraction can be felt through the pages and Aly does an incredible job at portraying these emotionally damaged characters.

Together they embark on a journey of self discovery, one which proves to be quite turbulent and one that is miles away from the ground. Trusting doesn't come easy for either of our leads.

I hadn’t read anything from this author and this read quite well as a standalone, even if we saw characters from the previous book they were well introduced and I loved each an everyone of them.
After reading this book I am looking forward to start from the beginning and certainly read more from this author.
