So Wrong It’s Right by Julie Johnson

Ahhhhhhhhh I am gutted this is the end of the Boston Love series! I have read and reread this series so many times, I feel like the characters are my bffs. I am sad it’s the end, yes but what a way to go! Johnson gave us such a great story packed with suspense, gunfire, and romance.

Shelby and Conor (he’s mine. Don’t even think about it) are at constant loggerheads from the moment he rescues her and while she’s happy to be rescued, she’s not exactly thrilled with Conor. These two have an explosive start to their relationship and it doesn't abate. They’re both control freaks in their own way and watching them butt heads constantly was a great source of amusement for me. I so enjoyed all the drama and suspense but I loved the romantic aspects, Conor was particularly swoony at times, hence the fact that I’ve claimed him as my own.

I would have love love loved to have some of the characters from the previous books put in a cameo appearance because I really freaking love them and wanted a bit of an extra glimpse but I’m guessing it was done this way to highlight that Shelby was alone. Queue sadness on my part. This book can be completely read as a standalone but again, I love the whole series and would read them all again and again.

Well, really I am a bit out of sorts with this one. Before you jump into conclusions and have a go at me, this is not a bad critique of this book, hence the 5-star rating.
I have always loved everything M. Robinson, and as a reader of her books, you do get a feeling of expectation when reading a new book, we all fall in love with the ML usual characteristics, plus we fairly have an idea of how the drama will unfold. I was really excited to be given the chance to read and review and still I am very grateful for this opportunity.

If I was only given a word to best describe this book will be, EXHAUSTING. Not in a bad way, you know like when you have been planning a trip then you had to jump on a plane and travel for hours on end but when you finally reach your destination you are extremely tired but then too wired to rest? Like that.. I was completely chewed in and spat out after finishing Lost Boy. M literally put me through the wringer. There were so many dramatic elements in this story I just don't even know where to start if I tried. Perhaps the aptest title would have been Lost Girl, God my heart ached and broke so many times in this book I am still collecting the pieces and putting them together again.
Did I really just read that? I'm still completely baffled...

Another formidable story

The wait was truly worth it after finishing the third book in the Pelican Bay series. Each book features a new couple and in this story, we met Ford and Cam. Cam is the new sheriff in town and has not been able to stop worrying about Ford and the bruises he’s constantly displaying. Ford’s brother. Jimmy, who we met in previous books, has been terrorizing him from the get-go and Ford sadly believed this was the life he was meant to lead. He has learned to box his emotions and the constant preaching of going to hell if he let his true self show have complete void him of the person he was meant to be. Thankfully Cam couldn’t let things go, having his own demons, he knew better but to stay away, but the feelings of protectiveness keep propelling him towards the young man. Together they fight old wounds. Once again, love teaches us it can be the soothing balm which our soul needs to fight for your dreams, no matter how hidden these may be. Ford and Cam’s story is one of survival and not giving up on those you love. Sloane again comes back with a formidable story of Family, lost love and found, and finding happiness in The midst of despair. 5 STARS. Isa for Joandisalovebooks and Love Has No Gender BLOG.

Oooh my goodness - this book was so beautiful!!! It’s a day after I’ve finished and I’m still processing such a gorgeous read. I’ll be honest enough to admit that I initially couldn’t remember who the book would be about but within pages, my memory bank did not let me down! This is QUEEN LENORE’s story and yes, I am totally shouting that! Oh my God. I had no idea whatsoever what I’d be in for and it actually worked out to my advantage. I had no idea at the depth of emotions I’d be forced to feel whether they were tears or laughs. At one point, I was crying so much that I just had to stop reading and just breathe. Having said that - and confirming that I am not at all one for angsty books - Royally Yours was not at all doom and gloom! In fact, even the moments of heartbreak were filled with warmth and laughter. It truly was such a heartwarming read. The story details how Queen Lenore came to reign and how her relationship with Edward came to be. It’s a gorgeous love story and also covers so many other relationships such as those between siblings, parents, and lovers. I simply adored this book and look forward to including it in my series reread.

I really don’t think my review will do this book any justice so I’ll keep it brief. Fall is Jax/John’s story who is the lead singer of Kill John and if you’ve read the previous books, you’ll recall that he battles with depression and has also attempted suicide. He meets Stella at the grocery store and they fight for the last mint ice-cream only for Stella to get the better of him by stealing both a kiss and the ice-cream. They each have the other at the back of their minds until they come face to face and discover they’re now neighbors.

This was a really beautiful and both heartbreaking and heartwarming story. I fell in love with both Stella and John and while I read much of their story with a smile, there was an equal amount of tears also at the ready. As a reader, I tend to avoid hype but still build up my own personal excitement over an upcoming release and it’s so sad when the book doesn’t live up to what you hope for and expect. I’m not sure how Callihan does it, but the VIP series is such a huge hit for me, with each book exceeding the expectations set by its predecessor. Knowing that the author has put so much of herself and her own experiences in the book give it a different spin and the final product of Fall was perfection. The characters and their story were so raw and honest that my heart broke and healed right along theirs. It was a perfect execution and I take my hat off to the author.

I was pretty much obsessed with this book from the first few pages and honestly, my enthusiasm didn’t once waiver till the last page. Kristen Callihan already ‘had me’ with this series but now she ‘really has me’.

John ‘Jax’ Blackwood, well I remember him from book one and it wasn’t a good remembered...but that was through the anger of Killan’s eyes. Two years on, John is existing in a world of numb until a chance grocery encounter with Stella. John, the lead singer, the dual talent of Kill John.

“Tonight, I’m buying groceries before the storm hits. I like the normality of it. All that is shattered now as I stand, gaping in the direction my kissing bandit has fled.”

You seriously need to read this to find out all about the kissing bandit. Stella and John are all serendipitous encounters in such a believable way. I literally hung onto the pages hoping for one of these lost causes to give one another the chance of friendship.

There’s friendship and then there’s slow, slow burn of chemistry, so slow, so burning. There’s a realistic, no-pedestal banter between these two. Their fun mouths and their dirty mouths are rather entertaining.

“Be with me. Let’s fall together, Button.”

This whole tale is told with a backdrop of ongoing mental illness, the kind that invades and retreats, the kind that one experiencing it, has to live with. This own-voices depiction was tangible and relevant. I identified this journey as similar to a family member and I appreciated every word that Kristen Callihan wrote regarding this. Not once did the characters depict ‘and then everything was okay’. Bravo, KC, bravo.

This is one of those books that has sat on my to be read list for what seems like forever. All I can think is why did I wait so long to pick up this book? I’m like an addict that just can’t wait for her next fix. I’ll be downloading book two straight away.
If you are like me and have this book on your TBR shelf take it out now. You won’t be able to put it down, and certainly be hungry for more in this, Love Series.

Sean and Ryan are every woman’s dream, but it’s going to take someone extra special to reach their hearts, not just get into their pants. Ryan isn’t complaining about all the female action he’s getting, but I am sure that will change in time. Just like his brother, Sean he’ll be swept away by that one really special lady.

Beth a woman that exists, but isn’t really living. It’s such a heartwarming story. She’s been through so much and lives with what happened to her every day since. It certainly by no means can be easy for her, but if anyone can show her a way to live it’s Sean.

I’m unsure about one character in this story, Courtney. Her motives seem from the heart, but are they for her benefit? There is definitely a story there, I’m hoping that we get to here.

Pain, loss, family, friendship, love even the mob are in this story. It’s jam-packed with page-turning events. Thank God I read on my kindle, I would have probably ripped a page with the speed I was turning them.

I’m also certain I’ll be working my way through all of this Author’s books. Her style of writing has struck a chord for me.
