This was a read of pure escapism for me. ACHE FOR YOU came into my life just at a great moment and sucked me into a great story with fabulous chemistry and all the banter. I have loved the previous two books in this series and this book did not let me down. Please never finish with this series, JT Geissenger.

ACHE FOR YOU starts with a jilting at the altar, of mammoth proportions and if you think the heroine Kimber’s luck is down then, it really just gets worse. She travels from San Fran to Italy where everything begins to sizzle against her will. Kimber is a semi-native of Italy and being back is bittersweet for a number of reasons. Matteo is her thorn in the side and I found that my reticence for these two because of the recent jilting was broken down because I fell hook, line and sinker ‘the Count’.

“He....unhooks his cuff links, sets them on the table, and rolls up the cuffs of his shirt, staring at me the whole time. I can’t look away. It’s like porn. You know you shouldn’t watch it, but you can’t stop.”

This book made me feel excited, it made me hold my breath through the slow, excruciating burn and it made me suspenseful about what each page would bring. I thoroughly recommend this for an escape your life and stress, weekend read. You cannot go wrong with a great story, characters and chemistry read.

Sinfully good reading. I have loved this series from the beginning. Who would have thought geeksters could be sexy, but boy do these men turned their lives around, and each become drool worthy. Clever and sexy is a lethal combination.

Oz’s story is definitely my favourite thus far. He’s watched his friends fall head over heels in love, and never thought it would happen to him. Oh! How the mighty have fallen and fallen hard.

Oz’s life before he decided to set up shop with his friends was complicated to say the least. He was in a loveless marriage. Most certainly unhappy with the way his future was looking. So, he did the best thing he could. He changed his direction and did something that has now made him a successful businessman.

Oz can be difficult to work with, and that’s putting it mildly. He’s had a few assistants, okay more than a few, but he clearly knows what he wants. Or what he doesn’t. That’s until Kendall Tate walks into his life, or rather his office. She takes no hostages this woman. Needing a job, and watching her surroundings she makes a bold move that lands her a job.

Working with Oz can be difficult, but Kendall is made of the strong stuff. She’s not about to put up with any bull from him. Turnabout is fair play though, and it seems Oz is the one finding it difficult working with Kendall.

Kendall AKA pink has the hots for her boss. But she needs this job, and she’s not about to risk losing it. Oz, on the other hand, has a plan. It’s not a solid plan, but hey if it gets him, and Kendall naked almost who’s he to complain. What is it they say about the best-laid plans?

Hot office sex, life changing events, jaw dropping discoveries only make up a portion of this story’s elements. It was such a fantastic read, I didn’t want it to end.
Each book can be read as a standalone, but honestly you’ll want to know about each of them.

I’ve had this book waiting for a few days now and I didn’t want to read it till I absolutely had to. Why? I hear you ask. Well, I’d been so so eager to know what happened That Night with Payton and Vince but I knew that once I read this, it would (obviously) be over. If you’ve read Good Girl, you’ll know exactly what bombshell I’m referring to and if you haven’t, well I’m not sure what you’re waiting for! That book was a must-read for any RomCom lover. In Good Time we find out exactly how to marriage of good time girl Payton and strip club owner Vince came to be and what happened after the vows were said.

This book was such fun to read and I kept facepalming myself with some of the things that either came out of Payton’s mouth or entered her brain. She was such a fun character to get to know. Vince is the most delicious older man here; he’s smart, in control, and knows where he’s going. What he does not know is what the next thing to come out of Payton’s mouth will be. He just accepted Payton the way she was, idiosyncrasies and all and didn’t once try and change her and I loved that.

I thought this was a fantastic RomCom from Aston and is yet another of her books I wholeheartedly recommend. This can definitely be read as a standalone though I still insist you read Good Girl first!

Natasha Ngan created a fascinating world in GIRLS OF PAPER AND FIRE, it was complex and yet not difficult to grasp a hold of. It is a world of castes, paper, moon, steel, and demon, with the Demon King at the head. Lei is paper caste, the most lowly of the castes but there is something special about her, her eyes. She is kidnapped and brought to be one of the honoured paper girls that the king gets to choose and bed for a year as he wishes. A grim life for a 17-year-old.

This is a tale of politics, war, oppression, slavery, and fear. Lei embarks in a journey from fearful new paper girl to a young woman who has a streak of fearless bravery, almost foolish at times. The land of the Demon King was colourful and diverse, the descriptions were excellent and my mind supplied all the mental pictures that I needed. The characters were a range of sweet, fiery, plain mean and evil.

The diversity elements of this book were fabulous. I welcomed the relationship between Lei and Wren and yet sometimes I struggled to connect with their coupling because the chemistry lacked a little something. This being a first in the series, I am hoping for more of a build in the relationship between these two. The sisterly relationships of the paper girls were almost like a high school corridor with the resident mean girl, Blue. In addition, I loved to hate the Demon King, he really was vile.

This had both a sense of completion and an “oh heck, what” moment at the end. I am definitely looking forward to catching up with these characters again and finding out what happens in this world.

I am a BIG fan of Dawn L. Chiletz and even though I love her rom-com’s the best, this second chance contemporary romance is pretty good too. It does have some great lines to keep you laughing but it is also a lot deeper than I was expecting with some angst and drama.

I enjoyed the storyline of an author breaking a writing draught by using a hook up of a total stranger on holidays and making him her new muse. Greer has had some hardships in her life which has given her some trust issues, but the one thing that is going well is her writing and a movie deal. Everyone falls for a book boyfriend but no one has ever had him come to life until now. Fisher whilst jogging along a beach smacks right into Greer and they spend the night getting to know each other and bonding over tacos. He has no idea what is to come when a new book hits the stands a few months later.

This is a quick read of a couple falling hard and fast but miscommunication stuffs things up. It’s not easy for Greer to trust with being stung badly before, and it will take some doing on both parts to mend the hurt that both received from each other. It felt a lot like life was imitating art with certain parts of this book and that some demons were expelled in writing it. I certainly felt for Greer and what she went through. At times I questioned Fisher’s motivation but he was such a sweetie and a true romantic I couldn’t help but fall for this book boyfriend.

Want was a fun, short read with great characters. Jake is a former boy band member who would rather write music and stay out of the limelight. Marlee, a childhood friend of Jake and his brothers, is recovering from a recent breakup and needs somewhere to stay. Jake offers her that and a whole lot more.

These characters are sweet and Jake is just the cutest. Marlee is a bit naive but I love her boldness at times. Her curiosity made me laugh.

I would suggest this to anyone wanting a sweet romance that will make you smile. I enjoyed this one so much I went back and read the first one. ;-)

So Wrong It’s Right by Julie Johnson

Ahhhhhhhhh I am gutted this is the end of the Boston Love series! I have read and reread this series so many times, I feel like the characters are my bffs. I am sad it’s the end, yes but what a way to go! Johnson gave us such a great story packed with suspense, gunfire, and romance.

Shelby and Conor (he’s mine. Don’t even think about it) are at constant loggerheads from the moment he rescues her and while she’s happy to be rescued, she’s not exactly thrilled with Conor. These two have an explosive start to their relationship and it doesn't abate. They’re both control freaks in their own way and watching them butt heads constantly was a great source of amusement for me. I so enjoyed all the drama and suspense but I loved the romantic aspects, Conor was particularly swoony at times, hence the fact that I’ve claimed him as my own.

I would have love love loved to have some of the characters from the previous books put in a cameo appearance because I really freaking love them and wanted a bit of an extra glimpse but I’m guessing it was done this way to highlight that Shelby was alone. Queue sadness on my part. This book can be completely read as a standalone but again, I love the whole series and would read them all again and again.
