Barely Yours by Charlotte Eve

Barely YoursBarely Yours by Charlotte Eve
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

William was devastated by the loss of his life and is doing his best to honor his wife by raising his daughter exactly as he and his wife planned. While at the same time running a business. He's starting to feel overwhelmed with daycare issues.

Chrissie is working as a sales girl in a children's clothing store saving up money to travel to another country. Her and Tabitha, William's daughter form an instant bond. William offers her a job she can't refuse.

William and Chrissie start off employer/employee but the underlying sexual tension is building. William is blowing hot and cold air. I think it's because of the deep love he had/has for his deceased wife. Chrissie, while awesome with Tabitha comes across as immature sometimes. I personally think that has to do with her age and also she doesn't know how to handle William's hot/cold personality.

They finally both give into their wants and there is some pretty heavy hot sex scenes (whew!). This results in a complicated twist causing Chrissie to act like a crazy person.

Quite the cliff hanger! I can't wait to read the next book!
