Under His Protection & Under His Guidance by Stacy Von Haegert

REVIEWED By Becky Cox

Under His Protection (White Rose Trilogy, #1)Under His Protection by Stacy Von Haegert
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Under His Protection is a beautifully written historic romance. Von Haegert's imagery in describing the period setting of the novel is very well done. Greyland is such an entertaining character and I fell in love with her immediately. Smart, feisty, intelligent and brave she immediately caught Alex's attention. Alex, a very attractive and eloquent man who has to risk everything to protect Greyland.

The gossip surrounding Greyland's family wags freely with their arrival in London from America. The Queen's personal attention to their family and the strange resemblance of Greylands family to the late King has everyone abuzz.

Greyland's brothers Edward and Perkin are delightful characters, along with Thomas and Bella. The interaction between the siblings and their friends was so entertaining.

This novel has it all: jealousy, danger, romance and revenge. Anyone who loves a good history romance with hot leading men and feisty leading ladies will love this book.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Another beautifully written historic romance. Stacy Von Haegert has continued the White Rose Trilogy with wonderfully descriptive passages.

Edward Kingston and his friend Henry enjoy all that being the most sought after bachelors in London provide; indulgence in sport, wine and woman. Edward is the brother of Greyland, featured in the first book in this series, Under His Protection.

The mystery and vengeful actions continue against him and his family. Morgan Sinclair the new debutante, has a few skeletons in her closet that are rearing their ugly heads. A roller coaster of mystery and espionage ensues and a beautiful romance emerges. Watching the relationship build between Edward and Morgan is heartwarming.

This sequel has met or exceeded my love of the first book. Another winning novel with all the elements of a great read: mystery, romance and comedy.

Veiled Dominance by Author Evelise Archer

REVIEWED by Kerry Callaway

Veiled Dominance (Club Rebellion, #2)Veiled Dominance by Evelise Archer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted this novella for an honest review. I love reading m/m books and this one was up with my favourites.
This novella is a story about Shane Wise a Dominant and co-owner of Club Rebellion. Coming to terms with who he is around Deacon, he lives in fear of what his friends and fellow co-owners would think!!! Would they accept him and his relationship with Deacon?? Would the secret of his past he holds onto ruin his relationship with both his friends and his love Deacon??
I loved this novella, the characters were strong and I had a sense of close knit friendship between them and the sex scenes between Shane and Deacon were explosive, hot and very well written.
I am definitely going to read more of Evelise Archers books.

Choice Affairs by Author Jamie Salisbury

REVIEWED By Joanne Swinney

Choice Affairs (Southern Heat, #2)Choice Affairs by Jamie Salisbury
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was gifted this book for a honest review.

This story tells us about Apollo and Caitlyn. Apollo is a self made billionaire, very successful and powerful, and by all accounts hot as well. He has a very dominate nature and is very protective of Caitlyn and this is not easy when you have a mother like Caitlyn's, Jesus, reading about that woman drove me nuts. Caitlyn's mother is called Susan Pickett White and likes to be the centre of attention, if the spotlight isn't on her she is not happy but not only that she's very selfish and sly, under handed in her tactics to ruin her own daughter's wedding day. All I wanted through the whole story was for them never to have contact with her again, she was bad news. Apollo has his own worries with family members, namely his brother Anthony, actually speaking of bothers, Caitlyn's brother is not much better. Who needs enemies when you have family members trying to destroy you at every turn. So Apollo has a successful business and has made senator, he has a beautiful wife, Caitlyn and not many people he can trust apart from Jacob, the poor guy has people at every turn trying to destroy him both financial and personally. I found out that Apollo has a disability, this part makes me wish I had of read book one in the series and found out most of the facts before delving into book two. So I do suggest anyone wishing to read this book they start at the beginning. One thing is very clear, while reading this story no matter what life throws in Apollo and Caitlyn's way, they have each others backs and love each other very dearly. This book doesn't leave you on a cliff hanger but it does leave lots of unanswered questions. I did enjoy this read, I hope I find time to read book one so I can understand a lot more about how Apollo and Caitlyn's relationship began. There will definitely be a book three, this story is far from over.

Lucas by Susan Fisher-Davis

REVIEWED BY Kerry Callaway

Lucas (Bad Boys of Dry River, Wyoming Book 1)Lucas by Susan Fisher-Davis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG!! What a treat this book was, this is the first time I have read a western romance and Susan Fisher-Davis has converted me with this fantastic book!!!
Emily Walters is living her life in fear of her abusive ex-husband Adam Walters, currently her ex is in prison but with him due to be released she needs to put a plan in action for her own protection and the ranch that is a legacy from her grandfather. Introducing Lucas Taggart!! Lucas was Emily's first crush and at the this moment is the only person that can help her. After leaving town several years ago Lucas has now returned and his reputation of being a delinquent from years ago is still fresh in everyone's mind. Emily approaches Lucas with a proposal, she offers him half of her working ranch as payment for marrying her and protecting her from her ex-husband. Lucas agrees on one condition, he wants a real marriage, Emily agrees!! Married to Lucas and with her protection in place they start their life getting to know each other. Adam her ex-husband is then released from prison and is coming for her!!
This book is fantastic, I loved Lucas from the start he's hot and got a bad reputation from his youth but as the story unfolds you also see his caring protective nature and I fell for him even more!! Emily although she is asking for protection she is by no means a weak natured character, she has an inner strength, she has taken on her grandfathers ranch and legacy and everyone of her ranch hands respects her. I loved the playfulness of these characters and some scenes had me laughing out loud.
A fantastic book that had me laughing, swooning and kept me on the edge of my seat. Thank you Susan Fisher-Davis for a great start to this series, I can not wait to read the next instalment.

Penemuae by Author Lea Barrymire

REVIEWED By Becky Cox

Penemuae (The Watchers of Enoch Book 1)Penemuae by Lea Barrymire
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rating 4.5

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

Penemuae is paying penance for disgrace he brought upon himself hundreds of years ago. He is emotionally exhausted from fighting the Nephilim and infected humans year after year.

Evelyn has heard and felt things unnatural her entire life and now she is seeing things. She is trying to decide if she is crazy or if these things are real. When Penemuae appears to save her from the Nephilim they both feel a strong connection.

Can Pen and Eve find peace together?

I enjoyed Eve's humorous banter. Even in serious situations she always seems to find her sense of humor. Eve and her best friend Jess's relationship was entertaining and relate-able. Pen is just a hottie with wings. Beyond his looks he is loyal, endearing and protective. Pen's Watcher friends all sound very attractive and I expect we will be seeing more of them in future books in this series. A nice balance of humor, romance and drama. Watchers of Enoch series should a must read.

Love With Every Beat by KL Shandwick

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Love with Every BeatLove with Every Beat by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have just finish this male POV and WOW!. I read The Everything Trilogy last year and truly loved the story of Alfie and Lily. Heart strings were definitely broken but to hear Alfie tell his side of the story nearly broke my heart reading. I have to be honest and when reading the trilogy I swayed towards wanting to protect Lily, but after reading Alfie's side of the story I can now see that not all is black and white as it seemed. Alfie has a strong personality, very musically motivated with a heart of gold. He is the type of man we all dream of and Lily has him, she literally owns his heart. He feels no love can feel like this with anyone else, he will never be over her, never stop loving her, missing her, wanting to hold her. Having read The Everything Trilogy I already know Lily's side so when events take place I can now picture both sides. It's a loving story that will bring a lump to your throat and fall in love with Alfie that little bit more. Yes, Alfie is a hot, god like rockstar but more than that he is a man who loves with everything he has, he hasn't had the easiest of life and always looks after the people around him. He is deserving of happiness and to him Lily is that happiness. But also I found myself laughing, it's filled with humour, I mean really how could it not, Alfie's band Cratz Soundzz on a bus touring, imagine the things they come up with. This story has some great characters , I loved hearing more about Jack as him and Alfie become close. I hope all the guys find their forever. I can't believe I waited so long to read this but happy I eventually did. If you loved The Everything Trilogy, you will definitely love taking this journey with Alfie. If you have not read the Trilogy I would suggest you do read before reading 'Love With Every Beat' I think you would connect more by doing this. Either way Alfie Black is A ROCK GOD and I love him.

Cain's Way by Michelle Day

Cain's WayCain's Way by Michelle Day
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

Well, didn't I just enjoy the crap out of that. Cain's Way is so very humorous and sexy. Cain keep me turning pages and I was sad when it ended because I was having such a great time. Cain is the Alpha of his pack, but he doesn't really have a big interest in taking over yet so he has his Beta's in place to take care of the pack in his absence. He also knows he has to mated at some point but that isn't a big to-do right now either. Cain prefers hanging out with and living among the humans. There were odd circumstances surrounding his birth and his has crazy thoughts running through his head all the time, which unfortunately for him due to being the Alpha, the rest of the pack can hear. I enjoyed this novella so much and was grinning while reading. Entertainment at it's best. Thanks Michelle, I look forward to reading more of your work.

Jamaican American Thug Drama by Author J.S. Lewis

REVIEWED BY Ashley Heather

Jamaican American Thug DramaJamaican American Thug Drama by J.S. Lewis

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wow ......well Drama by title and Drama by content!

According to the synopsis this book promises to posses you and remain forever etched in your soul. When you finish reading this you will realise the truth behind that statement.

This story moved me in an inexplicable way and as a personal recommendation from me, before you get captivated by this novel do what I did and read the "About the Author" segment. It will move you in such a way that your experience of the story will be magnified to an intense level. This will not only leave you feeling a profound disbelief that such prejudice still exists but also with a new found admiration for the author laying bare this story.

Jamaican American Thug Drama tells the story of love ......pure and simple.
Love is love, in any shape and form.
Love is not what the mind thinks, it is what the heart feels. Love can't be manipulated into being something it's not and this is the same for people. Regardless of what gender your drawn to love is love.

This story involves Jevaughn falling for his straight next door neighbour Dre but being gay is highly frowned upon in the community he lives so he keeps his feelings hidden. That is until Dre admits he feels the attraction too. How can they survive being together in a world that could get them killed for loving each other? But the real question should be ..... can they survive without each other?
The story is hard hitting and heart wrenching. It made me think of an ultra modern day Romeo and Juliet.
I would 100% recommend picking this up.
For me the reason it drops to four stars was the pacing of the story, it was just that little too fast and I wanted it a little slower so I could process the actual unthinkable drama that does transpire in the two men's lives and how they felt. That being said I thought the essence of the story was gripping and very original in the m/m genre.
Bravo Author J.S Lewis

Sight And Sinners by Susan Mac Nicol

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Sight and Sinners (Men of London, #2)Sight and Sinners by Susan Mac Nicol
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sight and Sinners is the second book in The Men Of London Series, I had the pleasure of reading Susan's first book Love You Senseless and I absolutely loved it, we obviously had the opportunity to read about Taylor in that book and I was happy to know we didn't have to wait too long to read his own story.

I wasn't expecting to be completely absorbed by the perfectly structured dialogue, or by the events surrounding this book. The secondary characters are engaging, and each is written in their individual way.
From the very first page, Susan engages the reader's attention and that feeling to constantly wanting to read on carries on throughout the whole book, we knew from the first book in the series that Taylor has psychic abilities, weather this seems like a curse to him, in retrospect is what leads him to meet Draven, Taylor is quiet and more reserved but by no means weak, he has an incredible personality but is constantly plagued by dreams of death which fully prevents him from opening up to everyone; enters Draven an Investigator with his outspoken and crude personality but with his own demons, what you get is an explosive combination.
From the very first time they met sparks fly out of the pages, their interactions are so well described and they ooze passion, however, Draven is skeptical of Taylor's ability but it will only take the death of someone closer to both of them for him to realise the true gift he's been given, but allowing Taylor to work close to him can only lead for their relationship to become more than a professional one, and this doesn't sit well with Draven as he hides a painful secret, one that he thinks can tarnish everyone he gets closer too.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I laughed and cried and sighed and screamed, it awakened so many emotions in me, I can honestly say not a lot of books have had that power. Susan writes from the heart and with such flawless ease that makes each story so special, definitely this one has been for me.
I can't wait for the next instalment in the series, I am sure Leslie will be fun to read!

Sight And Sinners is a fast paced, romantic, captivating and a total page turner of a story!

Bad Wolf (Dark Hollow Wolf Pack 12)Bad Wolf by Shannon West
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I love paranormal books so was happy to receive this book to read and review, I was not disappointed!! Bad Wolf can be read as a standalone or as part of the Dark Hollow Wolf Pack series.
Connor is a gamma wolf with no intentions of being a leader in the close knit group of the Dark Hollow pack that is lead by his brother. When Connor gets struck with the blood match lust to claim a mate his match lies in Jeremy Tate the leader of their enemies the Hunters. The pack is thrown into chaos as Jeremy has always seen the wolves as abominations and had recently tried to kill Marco a pack member. With no intention of giving up Jeremy, Connor tries to figure out a way to keep his mate and not leave the pack, all he knows is that Jeremy does not fit in with the pack and he himself can not live without Jeremy!!!
I really liked the story of Connor and Jeremy and their love for each other while trying to deal with past events that look set to destroy their match. I liked the twists in the plot of this book they kept me enthralled until the end. I am certainly going to take a look at the other books in this series so I can read about the other characters mentioned in this book.

My favorite of the series! More fast paced action and page turning sex scenes. I love MC books and this series has been no exception.

Great character development for both Star and Remy. I love the strength and determination that Star finds. I very much enjoy a strong female character. Now, after all that blood and horror and heartache, I had become so much more.

I reveled in Remy finding his purpose. He struggled with the results of his violence but found his way. Words backed with inaction were nothing compared to action wrapped in silence and dripping with intent.

I told her that she gave me the strength to be the scalpel, to remove the cancer that had grown my club.

An amazing conclusion to an exciting series. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Raleigh Point: HostageRaleigh Point: Hostage by Victoria Sue
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

As I began the first book of this series called Raleigh Point Rescue, I was having a hard time getting into the story but I continued reading it any way. I have a hard time not finishing a book and giving it a chance. As I got to know the charachter's and there past history the story begins to unfold. The first book does a wonderful job setting everything up for the next book. Which is a wonderful story of family, friendships, trust and love.

Raleigh Point is a group home that is family ran, they take in kids and adults that are shifters. Shifters meaning they can take on either a human or animal form, depending on the situation. They give them a home and safe environment to be there self.

In Raleigh Point Rescue

Mac rescues Lisa from a psychiatric hospital where she has been drugged and mistreated most of her life. When he gets closer to her realizes she is his mate. She has to learn to trust herself and him. She is an alpha female which is rare. They have a mating ritual when there mated for the first time is when she will get her shifter ability. Lisa is kidnapped by an alpha rogue wanting to make her his queen. Mac will stop at nothing to protect his mate.

In Raleigh Point Hostage

You get more of there story along with Skye and Riley and the rest of the family. Riley is a bear shifter and has a great gift of being able to heal people. Which comes in handy when he meets Skye, she is unconscious and hurt. Skye does not trust easily because of her past and the secret she keeps. She is afraid her past will come back to haunt her, and scared to start a new life with Riley. The family helps her at every turn.

Wow! What a great read. So many layers to this book. Definitely not your run of the mill paranormal. B.A. has created great character development. I found myself laughing, mostly at Lillian's antics. There is plenty of action and mystery. Oh and don't forget some amazing immortal and vampire sexy time.

Lillian is living on Balta a secluded island where all of the inhabitants are immortal and stop aging at 25. She is carefree living with her three brothers. Lillian is enjoying a great relationship with Duncan, a hunky best friend of her brother. She is so full of sass you have to fall in love with her. The people living on Balta were saved more than 100 years ago by a stranger and bargain was struck between Lillian's older brothers, Duncan and the stranger. When the stranger, Alec returned to collect on that debt he changed the deal and took Lillian as his payment. A whole new world is shown to Lillian and her life is changed forever. She struggles with losing Duncan and her family as well as her strong feelings for her capture.

I would recommend this book to all paranormal readers and anyone who loves a great love story with some action, humor and angst.

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review. This is a prequel to Bonded by Crimson.

This is an intriguing story of forbidden love. Miles is a three hundred year old immortal who wants/needs to tell his life story to Kate. He has been talking to her without physically showing himself to try and form a connection. She has been trying to deny the voice she hears, causing her grades to falter and her to workout incessantly to try and sleep. Once she finally acknowledges that he is real, he shows himself to her and begins telling her his story. While spending time together they fall in love. Miles has not fully recovered from his wife's death, which has been less than a year and won't fully give in to his feelings for Kate.

Do not despair. When two souls are meant to be together, eventually they find their way back.

This is a well written story that draws you in and allows you to live the experiences along with the characters. I look forwarded to reading Bonded by Crimson. I would recommend this book to not just paranormal readers but anyone who loves a great love story.

Dare To Kiss by S.B. Alexander

Dare to KissDare to Kiss by S.B. Alexander
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love it when an author can transport you straight away into their story that you get lost in it in the first page, S.B.Alexander is one such author!! I don't know much about baseball but the scenes and descriptions of Lacey's feelings and dreams were enough to draw me into the story, I felt the characters emotions and what descriptions there were of baseball were easy to imagine.
Lacey Robinson and her family know all about tragedy. After finding her mom and sister murdered in their own kitchen and as a result of this, suffering from PTSD, she moves across country with her dad to try and move forward with her life and reach her goal of achieving a scholarship into college and earn a place on the college baseball team. Life is far from easy for Lacey, battling her PTSD and coming to terms with the tragedy of her past she now has to prove to the coach and other players that she deserves her place in the squad, especially when other players don't like the idea of a female team mate. The night before school starts she meets the gorgeous Kade Maxwell. Kade has his own secrets, with secrets between them and a deal to get to know each other are they both able to trust one another with their pasts and find comfort and love together.
I totally loved this book, the storyline was very well written and I loved the moments of suspense. Lacey and Kade's individual storylines were compelling but together the journey they took was gripping and it was extremely difficult to put the book down. I can not wait to read the continuation of their story in Dare to Dream!!!

Love In Black and White by Jamallah Bergman

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Love in Black and WhiteLove in Black and White by Jamallah Bergman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rating 4.5

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

It is not often that you read an anthology where you enjoy all of the books, but that is definitely the case here. Each author has done a great job. The only fault I find is that they are short stories and I could have read full length novels about all of these interesting characters. Well done ladies. Five wonderful love stories. Well worth the price.

The Reunion – Jamallah Bergman, Mackenzie and David were high school sweethearts who lost touch in college and reconnect at their high school reunion.

Guilty Cravings – Sam Crescent, Henry and April have a rough start to their relationship, but it ends beautifully.

On the Way to Heaven – Stacy-Deanne, Trina and Neil have a very unique story line, but enjoyed it very much. A heart warming story.

First Love – Lena Hart, Sabrina breaks her rule not to date colleagues with Jake. A sweet love story with a charming lead male character.

Indulgence – Mahalia Levey, Zoey and Kristos have great chemistry. Can Zoey get beyond the fact that his sister is her competition and the fact he didn't tell her.

Oh boy! it's getting hot in here. If you haven't turned the heating down yet, you are about too. Jake is definitely the cop with alpha dominance and Lily well at first you will think victim then lucky, lucky, lass. Lily is having a ride along with Jake her boss, she needs to get good report from him and is put in a compromising position to get what she needs, at first I thought Jake was taking advantage, to be honest he took a big risk but it paid off. This is a short read but off the charts HOT!!. Free to download, what is not to like.

A Penny Trust by Trish DeVene

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

A Penny Trust (Weekend Getaways Book 158)A Penny Trust by Trish DeVene
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the epitome that good things indeed come in small packages!.

The story evolves around Ian and Polo, both faculty students, both different but yet so similar in so many ways. Ian is a true romantic and he spends most of his time reminiscing of his favourite Poems, he is seriously attracted to Polo and feels the attraction is mutual; Polo in turn is more of a popular and outgoing character. One day Ian sees Polo hide something near the faculty fountain and he decides to take it and in its place leave one of his poems for Polo to read, however this never makes it to Polo's hands as there is someone who has witnessed the exchange and wants to claim Ian for himself. As a result of this both ML are confused as to if their feelings for each other are as strong as what each claim to be, and just when all hope seems lost, things take an unexpected turn.

This was the first time I have read a book written in such a poetic form, it had so many beautiful material from Yeats which I love and it brought so much to the story, beautifully written and for its 28 pages it had a perfect story line, great characters and perfect flow. Well done Trish DeVene!

Silent Meeting by Holly Hall

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Silent MeetingSilent Meeting by Holly Hall
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was an extremely short read, in this first instalment we meet Ellen, a very sweet girl who has been deaf since birth, one day she confuses a program in her computer and ends up in a chat room where she meets a U.S. Marine by the name of Brian Kelly, as their friendship blossoms through cyberspace so does their feelings towards each other.
An opportunity arises for them to meet face to face for the first time and this of course will put their relationship and feelings to the test.

I am not against sequels but the Author has to be careful as sometimes ending the story in such a way can tamper with the flow of it, I would have prefer to read this in its full form, I liked the idea for the story, is certainly original, the characters were well matched and portrayed I will only say please don't leave us waiting for too long to read what will hopefully be the end of a promising story.

Hers To Bear by Tamara Hoffa

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney.

Hers to BearHers to Bear by Tamara Hoffa
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Erotic excitement in the paranormal world of shifters. WOW! When I first started reading this story I knew I would like it, nothing like being transported into a different world, getting lost in the characters. I loved this read, I'm devastated to have reached the end, I want more.
Jenna and Bern are the main characters, actually there is some very strong personalities in this story so I would say Jenna and Bern are part of the main characters. I loved reading about their romance, how it all began, but more than that I was taken on an adventure of paranormal brilliance. No paranormal read is complete without danger being involved and there is plenty of that, there were some tense moments where I began to read faster, I always seem to do that when I fear for the characters. Oh this book had me hooked! God the sex scenes... HOT! Bern is seriously hot, I find myself wanting a bear lol. If you love paranormal stories, then this is certainly for you.
Jenna is a sweet girl, never been kissed EVER! How do you reached your twenties and not even experience a kiss? imagine that. She teaches very young children, some human, some shifters, who she adores, they are so cute. She moved to a town called Honey Corners, this is where she is currently teaching having just recently acquiring the job and where she meets Bern not too long after settling into this town, one day as she was in the store wanting to buy honey, this is where she first met Bern, he walked into the store only to smell his mate, almost 7ft tall, muscles on muscles and very possessive. When he approached Jenna he reached for what she thought was the honey jar and said "MINE", Jenna knew he wasn't talking about the honey. He tells her she is his and they belong together, well Jenna's stomach going like a washer on full spin had to rain in her lust she felt for him and have a reality check, she was human, never been kissed, never courted in her life. Bern led her to a seat outside where he spoke to her, saying he would court her properly, he can't help but kiss her and Jenna just melts, red hot passion bursting from his lips.
This read involves kidnapping, rival clans that you will meet along with the good guys, Martin, is Bern second in command, very protective of his leader and a great character. Alice, is Jenna's best friend and I am looking forward to reading her story. Von Drake is head of the rival clan, he believes Alice is his mate but Alice is head strong and the only thing in her mind is climbing the career ladder. We also get introduced to one of Bern's sisters (he has five), Julia and to another lovely character who's Hans. I could go on and on, this book was just totally brilliant and I hope book two is around the corner.
Thank you Tamara Hoffe for sharing just a fantastic paranormal story.

Avowed (Manipulation Trilogy, Corrupted, #3)Avowed by Alicia Taylor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OMG!! What an amazing end to a great trilogy. Authors Alicia Taylor and Natalie Townson have not left anything out. This read will have you thinking 'WHAT THE HELL' and 'NO WAY', then some shout outs like 'REALLY' and 'OH MY GOD' totally brilliant read. This is a page turner. If you have read Corrupted book 1 then Warped book 2 you will know that there are lots of secrets. I bet you are dying to know, well I am not going to tell you but I will say that all is revealed. Wowza there is some shockers in store, okay so some of you might think you already know but trust me you won't be expecting them all. Who manipulated who? Oh boy! Damon was in for some surprises, actually so was Ella. One thing is very clear and has been from starting these fantastic books is that Ella completely fell in love with Damon and vice versa. Two people in love with a whole lot of complications. Who can forget about Leona, oh I know I'd like to but she's here with her vicious ways. We hear Abbie's story, that's Damon's first love, well Damon was Abbie's first love, not quite sure she has ever stop loving him. We find out what happen to Lydia, poor Ella having to face all these truths about her family, I guess you just never really know someone unless they choose to open up to you. I love Spencer that's Damon's brother, he' such a wonderful character and actually he sounds hot, I hope to be reading his story one day hint hint!! ladies. God I am bursting to tell you all about this book but that wouldn't be fair to give out spoilers. This book is a must read, it's exciting but scary, it's loving and hot, it's jam packed with all the things you have been dying to know. Thank you Alicia Taylor and Natalie Townson for sharing your amazing book with me.

Menage Under The Mistletoe by Eva Lilly

REVIEWED By Joanne Swinney

Menage Under the MistletoeMenage Under the Mistletoe by Eva Lilly
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Let me begin by telling you about the characters. We have Claire, Max and Sean. Claire moved from her home town where she lived with her parents, wanting to escape the towns gossip amongst other things. She found a room to let with Max and Sean.
Max is a police officer. Very protective and extremely hot!!! Max and Sean have been friends for years. Max wouldn't be the man he is today if it wasn't for Sean and Sean's parents.
Sean works as a fireman and he is just as hot as Max, he is so sweet. Max is very bossy, a bit gruff but Sean wears his heart on his sleeve. These three together are great friends getting along fantastically. Unfortunately nothing can last forever or can it?
Claire finds herself in a situation to do with her past and feels she must leave these two great friends behind but before she goes she wants one night with them BOTH. She loves them both, she couldn't possibly picked just one. Max and Sean both like Claire but Max is a lot more careful about who he lets into his life, he knows Claire has secrets, not wanting to share with him or Sean.
Sean is completely in love with Claire, he wants her so bad but he doesn't want to hurt Max. Danger is heading their way, Claire knows if she doesn't leave these men will get hurt. Torn between not wanting to hurt these men but keeping them safe, Claire tries to make her escape. Max is one step ahead of her, time to find out what the hell going on.
This book was an amazing read, I fell in love with the characters, great story line, hot, exciting and scary. I would say romance with a twist or two. I would recommend this book to other readers.

Captured Miracle by Alannah Carbonneau

REVIEWED BY Lynette Kelly

Captured Miracle (book 1)
Alannah Carbonneau
The story was WOW in a great way. A dark romantic suspense which evoked many conflicting emotions. From the blurb I was determined to dislike Callix however, reading on through the book in a strange way I felt drawn to him, he has many flaws but I think that there is far more to him and the writer has only scratched the surface in book 1.
From the first sentence (yes the first sentence) I was captivated by this book, I consumed it in a matter of hours it was that good. I would rate this book a fabulous 5 stars. Alannah has set the bar high for book 2 of this series, and I cannot wait to read it.

Sweet Temptations: The Babysitter by Dark Inferno

REVIEWED BY Kim Gray

Sweet Temptations: The BabysitterSweet Temptations: The Babysitter by Dark Inferno
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The Babysitter is a good story about a lonely husband and his struggles to resist temptation from work and at home. Obviously from the title it is clear that the temptation at home is the babysitter that lives upstairs. Yes this is a short book, but 2 things that I really liked about this book was the fact that it was short. I mean why not? It was a quick hot read about a man that gets to do what probably a lot of men fantasize about. And I got to read an entire book while waiting at the doctor’s office instead of staring at boring magazines. The 2nd thing I liked about this book is that it’s from a man’s point of view. There may be some phrases in the book that I didn’t care for? But I am not going to fault the author for that, again… it is from a man’s point of view, so it’s just my taste and you can’t please everyone. If the next book is short like this one? I will read it as well, just to see what this whole story may have in store for us. Technically I am giving this book a 3.5 star, but will score it as 4 stars on Amazon and Goodreads.

Reviewer for Isalovesbooks
and yes I purchased this book.

Finding His Swing (Love's Protector Series, #2)Finding His Swing by Cassidy K. O'Connor
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finding His Swing By Cassidy K O’Connor

I received a copy for an honest review.
This is the second book in the Love’s Protector Series. It can be read as a stand alone. I didn’t read book one but I will be and book three is coming out soon and I will be reading that too. I found the book very endearing. It has some paranormal aspects that I loved. It also has some very erotic steamy scenes. The book revolves around Jake, a major league baseball player who has been in a hitting slump since meeting his number one fan a few weeks ago. I want to keep this spoiler free but let me say that Chelsea is not the “type” of girl that major league baseball players are expected to be involved with. Enter Keara, a beautiful faery whose mission is to help Jake with his swing on and off the field. This is a short read, about 100 pages. I liked the characters and the book very much.

Trial by Fire (Black Irish 4)Trial by Fire by Tricia Andersen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is my first introduction to Sloan and Abbey. Love the alpha Sloan! Abbey developed throughout this book to be more than a wife and mother but to be Sloan's equal. She did what she had to do to save the love of her life, Sloan, and became someone he was afraid for her to become. He showed a fear that I don't think he has shown before. He couldn't emotionally deal with Abbey's decisions to save him and fled. Can they survive his fear and her strength?

Sloan’s heart slammed in his chest. Abbey was here in Belfast. But she wasn’t sitting in the courtroom weeping quietly. She was fighting to free him like he had when he was young. She was building his bombs…

Well written and exciting. Plenty of action and character development. I loved all of the supporting characters. I look forward to starting this series from the beginning. Would recommend this book to readers who enjoy action, a fast pace, strong female character and a hot alpha.
