Nobody's Angel by Kallypso Masters

Masters at Arms & Nobody's Angel (Rescue Me Saga, #0.5 & 1)Masters at Arms & Nobody's Angel by Kallypso Masters
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love Kallypso's stories she always brings so much depth and emotion into her books and this was evident in Nobody's Angel.

We are introduced to the Masters In Arms men and our first Dom is Marc D'Alessio. However we still get glimpses into the other characters and I can't wait to read all their stories.

As Marc is preparing to make the rounds in the club, he is in charge of monitoring some of the scenes. He stops when he hears crying and someone asking for her Dom to stop. He quickly realises the "wannabe" Dom is going beyond the subs limits and stops the scene immediately. Releasing her from the restraints he soon assesses she's gone into subspace and tries to ease the pain helping her recover.

Angelina wanted to experience BDSM, she's read some novels that have spiked her curiosity and feels ready to try something with her partner Allan; she never thought the experience was going to bring her so much pain and sorrow, and she certainly never expected to be rescued by someone with and Angel-Wolf mask who made her feel cherished and safe.

Marc has been burnt and is certainly not looking for a relationship nor is he looking for someone to awaken feelings he has desperately tried to burry. Yet he finds it hard to ignore the emotions that are suddenly plaguing his heart.
Angelina is a strong independent woman, after her terrible first experience at BDSM the last thing she wants is to ever try anything remotely like it, but a chance encounter makes her embrace a life she didn't think was for her.

With Great chemistry, storyline, and plenty of steamy scenes this first book in the series have it all to make it and enjoyable and captivating read.

Slaying Isidore's Dragons by C. Kennedy

Slaying Isidore's DragonsSlaying Isidore's Dragons by C. Kennedy
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am speechless.

It has taken me a while to write a review for this book and I do extend an apology to the writer, This book was just special, unforgettable, it is one of those books that leaves you with a sense of contentment. That regardless of the poignant storyline it will forever be a part of you.

Isidore has been hurt. In the most indescribable and unbelievable of ways. He has endured physical and verbal abuse in the hands of not one but several people, and what is worse they are his family. As the son of two Ambassadors, Isidore’s life has always been a struggle. The only person who truly loved him has been taken away from him in a horrific car bombing and it is but a miracle that he still manages to have his mind and heart intact.

Declan is the son also of two Ambassadors. His life although different from Isidore’s, has also been marked by the horrific ordeal of having lost his dad in a terrifying car bomb,(can you see the connection?).

Fate brings them together as they embark on their senior year at school. Isidore finds himself in unchartered territory, he is completely out of his depth, but Declan just can't keep away from him. Their attraction is instantaneous, having shared a tragedy brings them together but it is their souls who binds them as one.
Isidore needs someone to hold him, to love him and to help him see life can be also beautiful, ultimately someone who can scare away his demons, who can slay all his dragons, and Declan is there every step of the way. He is so beautiful, and so patient and just loving, I fell totally in love with him, I can see why Isidore fell so hard for him .

But being together doesn’t come without difficulty or danger, Declan and Isidore are not completely out thus presenting an issue with the school and amongst some of their friends.
Isidore’s dad is vicious, he makes their lives and those who try to help them, literally a living hell. I have never experienced such hatred towards someone through the pages of a book, but that is testament of Cody’s incredible writing and his ability to bring each character to life.

I kept reading and with each paragraph I experienced so many emotions, sadness, joy, elation, worry, sorrow and so much respect and love for Isidore; such a beautiful man, who in spite of what life has thrown at him and in the face of adversity still has an unwavering spirit and a heart of Gold.

Together Declan and Isidore must overcome so many hurdles, and just when you think the story will go one way, Cody surprises us with another twist. I just couldn’t put this book down. Thoroughly emotional, and filled with so much passion, Slaying Isidore’s Dragons is a story that will captivate you and change you forever. It will leave you breathless!

Thank You, Thank You, a thousand thank you’s Cody, for giving the world this magnificent book. I will cherish it forever.

But when Michael meets his dream guy Christy one day this change both their lives.

Stripped Bare by Rebecca Moon

Stripped BareStripped Bare by Rebecca Moon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sally Parker is just a shell after changing her life to please someone else. Her self esteem is non exstant. She is now 'hiding' from life. Working from home and rarely going outside it's door. I could really relate to Sally as I saw my own Mother change to try to make a man happy and she also was a living 'shell'.

She has a few really good friends Chelsea, Macy and Jason. They don't know what to do help her get her self esteem back. Through Macy she reconnects with an old school friend, Damien Johnson. He is beyond shocked in the change in Sally from high school and makes it his mission to take small steps in getting Sally to become more like her old self.

Damien focus is on Sally and doesn't mention his own hell. Which comes back to bit him and nearly destroys them both.

Though Sally shows us all how strong a person she really is and picks up the pieces and attempts to move on.

The sex is beyond sizzling. I was very happy with how the story ended but felt sad for Nick because I felt he really cared for Sally and got a little burned. I hope there is a story in the future for Nick.

Erin Stancliffe is one strong young lady. She overcame how she was brought up to raise her young son by herself. Even put herself through college. To get a 'fresh' start on life she moves to a better neighborhood when she starts her nursing career.

Through her job she meets Jason Cunningham, whom we met in Stripped Bare. He is basically a man whore. There is something about Erin that takes a hold of Jason. Through her he becames the man he is supposed to be and through him Erin learns to trust again and realize that they are 'good' men out there.

They are both struggling to overcome their pasts to gain a future together. Which is not easy to do when both their pasts cause havoc in their present.

I liked getting to know the 'real' Jason. I also liked at the end of the book Macy, his cousin, who we also met in Stripped Bare, pops in with some turmoil and you just know there is going to be another book. Can't wait!

The only thing I was a little disappointed about is that I wished we could of caught up more with the other characters from Stripped Bare (Sally, Damien, Chelsea). The book is great but just 'miss' them.

Girl Tripping; a sweet, romantic comedy by Gina LaManna

REVIEWED BY Monique Cashmere

Girl Tripping: a sweet, romantic comedyGirl Tripping: a sweet, romantic comedy by Gina LaManna
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My favourite type of book is a romantic comedy, and this one fits the bill brilliantly. Gina LaManna is a great young author that is perfecting her craft with every new novel and this one is my favourite to date.

Lena is a New Yorker who is having a bad month. She breaks up with her boyfriend, looses her job because of said boyfriend and he won't relinquish her puppy, Harry. The only good thing going for her at the moment is a competition she entered, and won, regarding a trip she fabricated about her book buddies. So in order to claim the money, they try to replicate the tip with photos only things never seem to go as planned for poor Lena.

Gina is fast becoming a new one click author for me. She never disappoints. She has a knack of creating characters with depth and adds the right amount of humor. Of course with a touch or more of romance and you have won me over.

The other great part about this book is having my own little book buddy group, I could relate to parts of this story and the places the girls visit on their trip - I felt like I could have been a part of it. And if so, just call me Gigi! Awesome work Miss LaManna - can not wait to see what you have for us next.

Have you ever wondered what happened to your high school crush? What would you do if you bumped into him again after 20 years? Would he be the same cheeky, smart alec boy, or had he matured?

Melanie Hanson has had a big year. Her marriage of 18 or so years has ended. She has moved her twin girls back to be close to her home town. She is now part owner of a bridal shop with her mother. One thing that has been a constant - her bestie Jodi.

Jodi convinces Mel to take a trip to Mexico and to start to live her life again. And you know the old saying, What happens in Mexico, Stays in Mexico - Or does it?!!!

This story is about a woman in her late 30's having to find her feet after her marriage ends, and hopefully finding love again, even if it is with the boy she loved to hate in high school.

I picked this book up on a lazy Sunday and decided it was so much more better than doing my ironing. I was hooked from the start. I loved that we got a varied narrative with the different POV's. I also enjoyed the characters and the banter they had together. This book had me giggling, smiling and it also brought a tear or two to my eyes. So all in all - it was a fabulous read and I recommend it highly.

Saving Grace by Kristen Proby

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It's always a challenge with a novella to feel completeness and fullness of reading. This novella from a favourite series of mine did both. It's a sweet tale with spark, wit and heat. There are splashings of the previous couples in the series but really just snapshots however, I was more than happy for Grace and Jacob to take centre stage. The bachelorette party for Grace's friends is going to take place in snowy Aspen, on the slopes. Despite living in a ski area for 6 years, Grace has never learnt. Her friends have bought her lessons and an overnight stay at the local ski lodge in preparation. She meets Jacob there.

This read is sweet and funny, with depth. An ideal novella.

Oh how I love to discover new Authors and how I love to fall in love with their stories.

Taggart/Lee had it all. The fame, the fortune, the sex, drugs and rock and roll. However after a family tragedy he is brought back to the real world and suddenly he is not so happy. Having been entrusted with a precious gift, he soon realises he is totally out of his depth. Alas one day he runs Into a charming Samaritan and the story takes flight.
Mr "Samaritan" who is actually a Doctor, or Erik, in the eyes of Taggart is a God. Such a beautiful man with a beautiful heart. Fate keeps throwing them together and soon sparks are flying. But, Erik has been hurt by someone who he had given his heart to, so is not easily persuaded into jumping someone's bones regardless of how that someone gets his heart beating and his blood pumping in every single part of his body.

Taggart is used to be chased, by screaming fans from any age and gender, so he finds it fascinating and refreshing to be turned down, at first he sees this as a challenge and sets out to pursue the good "Doc", but when he needs to get back on the road and get back on his last tour, Erik surprises him by coming to his aide with what he holds most precious.

As the two begin to be closer and spend more time together allowing them to get a glimpse of what a future could be with one another, makes each want and crave what they never thought they could have. But where will the fun be if it was all fun and games and there were no hurdles to overcome?
So Ms. Gibson gave the story a great twist urging me to keep reading to get to the next part. There were certainly lots of unexpected events and this thoroughly peaked my interest to reach the conclusion.

The story had great fluidity and it was well written. The characters were perfectly described and they had great chemistry. Lots of steamy scenes to get your pulse raised and a beautiful and heartwarming story line. A fantastic and original Rockstar M/M read.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

One Word,

This is a real crude, cathartic, and extremely chilling story.
If you love straightforward plots and traditional happy endings you are best advised to avoid this book, you have been warned. However if you like twisted, dark, crude, honest and fast paced romantic tales, then you must download this and get ready for a wild ride!

I didn't read any of the reviews before I read this book as I knew by the blurb it was going to be different, so I didn't want anything clouding my judgement or giving me a glimpse into what I was about to read.
I'm not keen on writing spoilers and it would present a very hard test for me to write a detailed review without giving things away.

All I have to say is, You can't escape your fate, misunderstandings can be extremely dangerous, and regardless of what a person throws at you, if you love them with every fibre of your being, nothing will ever change that, on the contrary it will become a stronger feeling and something that will give you purpose.

Each character in this book was brilliantly written and I look at the prospect of reading more about each one. The leads where fantastic and each paragraph and chapter where they interacted was more explosive each time which certainly built the momentum and the tension urging you on and keeping you interested. Loved having the story from both POV's.

Movies like The Hole, The Covenant, The Count Of Monte Cristo, all have taught us what people do when seeking revenge, it eats at your soul and hinders your ability to see beyond the hate. I found this book residing in a grey area between a psychological thriller, a romantic drama or a straight-ahead dark romantic suspense; I veer to the latter and I thank the Author for making it a standalone one.

So, can I convince you and corrupt you into giving this book a chance? I can assure you won't be disappointed.

Well done Penelope Douglas for not tapping out and writing a formidable story!

The Boss Serial: Book Two by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott

I'm loving the progression of this series although honestly, I just wanted to throw something across the room (and at the authors!) when I got to the end!

I'm really enjoying getting to know Grace and Blake a little better and I just really just need more from them now! I have questions begging for answers and I'm hoping we get to the nitty gritty very soon!

These books must be read in order. As I mentioned, I'm loving the series and definitely recommend it.

Painkiller by Cari Quinn & Taryn Elliott, part of the Banged Anthology: Rock Stars, Bad Boys, and Dirty Deeds.

This was a great little introduction to the First Hit series and is a cross over between the writing duos Lost in Oblivion series and Cari Quinn's Tapped-Out series.

Without going into much detail, this novella is pretty much the first meeting and encounter between rocker Johnny Cage and MMA Fighter Evie Pierce. And what a meeting it is! Very good, gripping, scorching. Their strong personalities were definitely coming through and I'm looking forward to finding out their secrets and how they'll be dealt with.

For Cesare by Soraya Naomi, part of the Men of Mayhem (A Mafia Anthology).

This review is for Soraya Naomi's book in the anthology, For Cesare. This was a great short story and can be read independent of one of my favorite mafia series, the Chicago Syndicate.

In this, we get a cross between a friends to lovers romance and a second chance romance. The characters are intriguing and even for a short, I had a bit of a surprise at one point. A great story, fast-paced, and one that left me wanting more. I liked the characters, Cesare and Kinsey, and hope that they'll make an appearance in future Syndicate books.

I was totally drawn into this book, the story, the characters and the writing. It started so strong and didn't let go until the end and in fact, with that ending, I'm keeping hold of my thoughts and suspicions as I wait avidly for the second book.

Ella wakes up in a hospital in Italy with no memory of anything beyond being attacked in a dark alleyway. She has the concussion, blinding headache and amnesia as tangible proof. She awakes to Kayden, a man ready to stay by her side but there's something familiar about him and she cannot immediately trust his seemingly genuine concern. Ella knows one thing, she was on run. From what, she isn't certain. This books winds an interesting, suspenseful path through Ella's patchy memories and there are only so many answers in this book. The chemistry between Ella and Kayden was totally engaging and I liked these two but I felt Ella's trepidation with an empty memory. I just want more of this series as soon as possible.

Thin Love (Thin Love, #1)Thin Love by Eden Butler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you're in the mood for an angst-driven read, this is the book for you. I've had a few book friends recommend this book and I'd heard it was angsty and felt in the mood. Thin Love delivered on that promise and I enjoyed the push-pull, love-anger ride.

Kiera and Kona come from opposite tracks. Kona is a football giant with a player reputation that has been hard earned. Kiera is a talented musician and songwriter, not the least interested in Kona. These two put together on a class assignment but it's fireworks and aggression everytime they speak. Their relationship also has a different kind of fireworks and it's fantastic reading. I went from wanting them together to thinking they needed to be apart, again and again. Their mothers are another story completely.

This book moved from the present to the past and back to the present. I loved the timeline and the promise of finally finding out what happens for these two. I definitely want to read more by Eden Butler.

Loved it! The story line is super unique. I won't go into detail to prevent any spoilers, but it was clever! I enjoyed reading something that was a change of pace compared to the traditional romance.

I liked Alexei's character. I think Helena did a great job of presenting him; especially his accent. I could easily connect with him and easily picture his appearance, actions, etc. Gabriella's character was a little mousy thing that I could easily picture as well. I often enjoy the mafia type books and this one definitely did not disappoint! Definitely would recommend.

Crave by Kiara Delaney

CraveCrave by Kiara Delaney
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 Stars

The Free Dictionary says:

crave (kre…™v)

v. craved, crav•ing. v.t.
1. to long for; desire eagerly.
2. to require; need: a problem craving your prompt attention.
3. to ask earnestly for.
4. to beg or plead (usu. fol. by for).

This is the first book I read from this Author and I was thoroughly surprised.

It is very hard now days to find a story that has all the elements that make it a great read, an engaging and fresh plot, well matched characters,in case of Romance stories, plenty of passion, some twists and something which in my opinion is vital, that is well written. I believe this is the case with Crave. It certainly engaged me from the start and ok the story is not different from many of its kind, but all the other factors were there.

Lilly Jacobs has had a streak of bad luck and has been in very bad situations; she is a tough cookie don't get me wrong, but you know the saying, "When it rains, it pours", well we certainly get a glimpse of that from the very first page. However a chance encounter puts her face to face with arrogant Jake Cavannaugh. Sparks certainly don't fly right away, on the contrary, things go from bad to worse and the last person on Lilly's mind is Jake. And the same goes to him, yes he finds her attractive but he also finds her a handful, oh he doesn't know how full his hands will be alright.

Jake Cavanaugh has made a name for himself, he is the CEO of his own company which allows him to lead a life of freedom where pleasures come and go as he seems fit. He is an eligible bachelor but the last thing on his mind is being attached to someone, he is indeed a true Playboy.

Lady Fate plays a great part in this story and soon both leads have to come face to face. Its hard to Hate someone when you love them so much but it is very easy to Love someone who you originally hate.

Remember the definition at the beginning of my review? Well Jake and Lilly will certainly get acquainted with the word. However soon Lilly's past is literally knocking on her door and this will be the pinnacle piece which will set the wheels in motion for many twists and turns.

A well written and enjoyable storyline, great secundary characters. I certainly recommend this book to all fans of Alpha CEO's and in general readers of good romantic books.
Looking forward to reading more from this Author.

Taz by Andrea Smith

Taz (G-Man, #4)Taz by Andrea Smith
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh boy! okay, let's first have the warning if you have read 'Love Plus One' by this Author in the G-Men series wait till you read the whole book before sending out a message because you're cheesed off at how the story is developing. Yep, I had to refrain myself BIG TIME. I was thinking the friendship is out the window LOL!!

This book is Taz's story and what a story it is. He really is a great guy, he's got everything going for him, good looks, fantastic in bed, great career, wonderful husband, awesome father. Yeah something just had to go wrong, didn't it and it did in a HUGE way. I was spitting feathers reading, thinking you have got to be kidding me. I even messaged a friend saying I am no longer this Author's friend. Sorry Andrea, I know you are totally unaware of this till now but Jesus woman nothing like throwing a spanner in the works.

Taz is sent on a mission that ends badly and not just for him, his whole family are suffering. I could only think the worst while reading, I was one hundred percent behind Lindsey his wife but yet I didn't want it to be over for them. Not knowing where this story was going kept me furiously turning the pages.

I know Lindsey and Taz love each other deeply and have been lucky to have found each other, start a family together but seriously if any couple needed a break from danger and drama it's these two. Lindsey has been through so much. It's not been easy for Taz but they have got through some horrific times.

I love how other characters I have previously been introduced to appear again in this book. For instance we read about Slate and also Agent Trevani, now he was a nice surprise, we read about him in Clouds in my Coffee. I just love all these great books and characters who have been brought to my life by this talented writer. I'm hoping to read more about the G-Men series they're such exciting reads.

Ultimately this is another fantastic book and so deserving of five stars. I'm so glad I carried on reading and thankful for not retaliating against the Author. So Andrea Smith your are still in my good graces and I want to thank you for continuously surprising me.

Jesse's Diner by Cardeno C.

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Jesse's Diner (Hope, #2)Jesse's Diner by Cardeno C.
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Lunch anyone? I recommend Jesse's Diner. Tanner who now runs the diner is an amazing cook. He was left the diner when his mentor and very good friend, Jesse passed away, the man was the closest thing he had to a father.

Mike is Tanner's best friend since school and also the son of Jesse. Actually Mike has two dad's the other is Steve. It never bothered Mike being brought up by a gay couple, he is very protective of his family and that includes Tanner.

Mike has a problem and asks Tanner for help, he believes his dad, Steve is missing Jesse terribly and not coping. He tells Tanner that he's been forced to take time off work. He wants Tanner to check in on his father as he's away at college. Now Tanner will do anything to help out but he's so nervous, he's had a crush on Steve ever since he met him. Not that he ever did anything about it, Jesse and Mike meant to much to him.

Tanner does visit Steve and they do become really great friends. He tries to curve his staring but just can't help himself. To Tanner, Steve is a God.
He brings him dinner every night, it's so sweet. They enjoy a meal together and Tanner then returns home alone.

This is such a sweet, loving story. Life changes so fast, who knows what's around the corner. When Steve reveals a secret to Tanner, he takes it well, but I was rather shocked. I thought WOW!! okay how is this going to play out. To my surprise it was beautiful. It makes you realise anything is possible when you love someone.

This book has romance by the bucket load. If you love M/M Romance then this book is definitely a story you will love. It has a few surprises but I hope like me, you can keep an open mind and see that love truly can conquer all.

Until I Met You by Jaimie Roberts

Until I Met YouUntil I Met You by Jaimie Roberts
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was hooked on the prologue, although I also knew I was in for a tense ride. Straight off you are given the vibes of something bad that happened but no details, it really doesn't take a genius to work out what. My mind conjured up all sorts of scenario's.

Taking a deep breath I carried on because I was already into the story, I just had to know. Typical nosy female, maybe LOL! I think it was more the writer was just very creative and knew just how to keep the readers, i.e. ME! turning the pages.

Angelina Bradshaw a woman who has suffered greatly, now living without love, we all know sometimes love hurts. Angelina is not prepared to let this happen so basically the men in her life get used for sex, no feelings what so ever just great orgasms. Life without love, is that possible?

Angelina moves to London, new apartment, new job working as an estate agent, her boss is an old family friend, Jonathan, he's very easy on the eye. I kept wondering if something was going to happen with them. Did it? you ask, I don't have to answer that. If you have read this book you will understand the significance of that line and if you haven't read, O.M.G you are missing out.

Angelina meets a man called Seth Jacobs, now this is no ordinary man, I mean yes, he's male, hot, charming, sexy, annoying like most men BUT he's managed to affect her in ways no other man has ever done. It really makes for an interesting read, the heart is saying no way, the head is calling him names, the nether regions are screaming HELL YES!!

No matter how many times Angelina turns him down, he keeps coming back. This guy is not about to give up. Angelina decides to visit the family, guess who follows her? All the family love Seth, he really is a likable guy.

While reading this story I knew something had to happen soon but what? it was killing me not knowing, then the knowing killed me even more, then when you think all is well, frankly it's NOT. You in no way can possibly imagine what happens in this story. It shocked the hell out of me, I was almost ready to send this Author a message.

Sitting on the edge of my sofa, I carried on reading and hoping things would change in this book. I lost count the amount of times I let out a loud GASP! husband looks at me and says good book, I reply soooooo good.

I'm beyond happy that I have now read this book. I am ready for my next adventure. Thank you so much Author Jaimie Roberts for sharing your story. You are indeed a truly great writer.

I'm punching the air with excitement after reading this story.
I just downloaded last night and I couldn't put it down.

A tale of love in the roughest of circumstances.

Sylvie's brother is into underground fighting, it's the only way that allows them to earn money to pay the bills, The Pit is the worst place anyone can find themselves in, normally spectators want to see blood and the stakes are high for the loosing side. Things go terribly wrong when his last fight ends not as expected and looses his handler a lot of money. In an attempt to make things right Sylvie offers herself as an alternative for his brother's next fight, it is the only viable solution to save him. But she has no idea what she's gotten herself into and this leads her to the only man who can help her, the man who once came to her rescue and who since that day has been engrained in her memory.

Aeden has only known one way of getting through life, and that's by fighting, it's the only thing which has given him a purpose. He has done terrifying things and believes to be a monster, that is until the little Sylvie crosses his path. He's terribly shocked, a girl like her shouldn't be in a place like the Pit. He is soon rescuing her from what could have been a terrible ordeal. He soon puts that behind him and only allows to think of her as an Angel, someone completely out of reach and who he can't never allow himself to have. He's not worth it. That is until she's suddenly standing in front of him asking to teach her how to fight.

The chemistry between them is explosive, neither can't deny their attraction. But soon they would not only be training hard but fighting hard to give into their deepest wants and desires.

I loved this story, it was fast, it was engaging. The plot was powerful and utterly gripping.

Helena has done it again. She proves once more why she is a Bestselling Author and why these stories have become the readers favourite choice.

This is a M/M BDSM book and is a part of the Trident Security Series. We get to know Jake Donovan more indepth and learn how he became the man he is today and what ghosts he has to lay to rest to allow himself to have a future with Nick.

In this story Nick Sawyer is coming to terms on who he is, what he wants to be and who he wants to be with. His struggle is so realistic in today's world.

It's way too easy to give spoilers on this one. I just love the way Samantha Cole writes. I felt pulled into the book from the beginning. I love revisiting with the characters from the previous books. I also like the indepth look we get into the BDSM life.

I love that there is story within a story. Not only is it a story about Nick and Jake it also is story about Trident Security Team as they are on an operative. The twist of intrigue, some humor and the sex makes this a very good book.

I'm going to start out with saying this book is phenomenal!

Wow. This book gripped me from the beginning. Once I started I couldn't put it down. The intrigue, the suspense, the twists just kept me hooked.

I felt I was right there with Kenna through everything she went through. Her anticipation to spending some time alone with her forever, being the only survivor in a plane crash, learning her forever didn't make it, discovering there was a secret side, trying to survive that secret side. I loved the role Detective Nathan Smith played too.

Very well down Olivia. This is a very powerful book!!! I absolutely loved it!

Corrupted by Alicia Taylor and Natalie Townson

REVIEWED BY Lynette Kelly

Alicia Taylor and Natalie Townson
4.5 stars

This is the first book in this trilogy and it started with a bang!
Ella has lost her sister in the worst possible way, when she finds her  journal she discovers her sisters inner most feelings,  she vows to break the man who lead to her sisters demise.  She spends 3 years mastering the art of manipulation and how to make men fall at her feet.  This has prepared her to destroy Damon Hunt, however she wasn't prepared to have her own heart destroyed.

I loved the fast pace and flow of the book.  Fair warning there is a cliff hanger as to be expected in a trilogy, but by the end of this book you will be frantic for the next instalment.

Not Negotiable by Samantha Cole

Not Negotiable (Trident Security #3.5)Not Negotiable by Samantha Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

We had read about these two characters in His Angel, I actually love how Ms Cole drops little hints in her stories as to who we are going to read about next.

I'm glad she gave Parker and Shelby a story as it was a thoroughly entertaining one.

Because Parker isn't part of the elite group of the Trident security sexy six pack boys, the story wasn't as explosive or suspenseful as per the other books, as well as the fact that Shelby is a submissive and established in the lifestyle there were no elements of introducing her into the world of BDSM, however we see sparks of the more passionate kind and the story, as short as it was, gave me the same enjoyment and satisfaction after reading.

Shelby comes across as a firecracker and full of sass personality, but she is holding a secret, one that prevents her from letting herself fall for any of the single Doms in the Covenant club; in particular Master Parker. Parker comes from a rich family but where money was given to him in abundance there was a lack of love as he was growing up. His family knows he's into the lifestyle which resulted in him being outcast and treated with disdain a fact which pushed him to thrive and excel in his business as well as solidifying the fact that he loves the lifestyle and wants desperately to find a sub, not just any sub, Shelby, but she keeps rejecting his attempts at playing together where she is happy to engage in a scene with any of the other Doms.
When an opportunity arises for Parker to be close to Shelby he takes it wholeheartedly regardless of her reservations, this time the fact to stay away is Not Negotiable.

Wrong by Jana Aston

OMG this book was hilarious and wrong, and brilliant and everything you want to be able to write one day if you have the chance and someone had the guts to do it!

Sophie and Luke are from different ends of any spectrum, social, economical and personal, they couldn't be more wrong for each other even if they tried. But that doesn't stop Sophie from fantasising about Luke, every day as he comes to get his coffee where Sophie works.
It all seems quite innocent, Sophie laughs and has great banter with her best friend every day after Luke's daily visit, and let's face it who wouldn't, he is good looking, he dresses nice, he smells divine and has the most amazing hands, so yes Sophie has her daily fix and then moves on, apart from when she's in bed at night and images of Luke keep replaying in her mind.
It's all fun and games until Sophie has to visit the campus clinic to get contraception. You see, Sophie is inexperienced in more ways than one, and her friend is urging her to take the plunge and sleep with her boyfriend for once and for all. But what was supposed to be a straight forward appointment turned into Sophie's worst nightmare when the GYN is non other than Luke, and oh yes did I mentioned she's naked waiting to be thoroughly examined??
Soon things get very awkward when Luke is everywhere she turns. Perhaps the fantasy is within rach after all.

Oh what a joy! I gobbled this book in one sitting, the story was very original and it proved so till the end, there was certainly a lovely twist I wasn't expecting at all.

Well written, funny, sexy yet epically romantic, WRONG is just, NOT.

Kissing My Killer by Helena Newbury

Kissing My KillerKissing My Killer by Helena Newbury
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Who needs Fleming when you have Newbury!"

I'm speechless. I've just finished this story and I'm still asking myself, did I just read that?

Kissing my Killer is a standalone story but her fourth in her Kissing books which I can't wait to read now!

From the very first line you are totally captivated and utterly hooked.

"I met her on my way to kill someone".

You see what I mean? Just there, she's got you and what follows is a story so clever, so well structured and brilliantly written.
In Kissing my Killer we meet Alexei and Gabriella, two completely different characters who couldn't come from more completely different worlds and lifestyles. However destiny has set the wheels in motion for them to be thrown into the mix, you know they saying six degrees of separation? Well suddenly their worlds are not that far apart.
Both Alexei and Gabriella are damaged, they each have their own demons, but where Alexei has been fighting his, Gabriella has locked herself as far away from hers, literally. When life puts them face to face with one another the pull is so strong is like they have found the missing piece in their puzzles. But Alexei's world is a dangerous one and Gabriella never imagined herself being in the middle of it all.

Alexei only knows one way of living, as part of the Russian Bratva, a powerful Mafia organisation, he has killed many of the organisation enemies in order to survive, this has giving him a purpose and has made him into the man he is now, someone with no room for a happy future, but for him the Bratva is all he knows, it's his family, he has never once waver on his tasks or questioned the orders he has received, and he has a reputation for being ruthless and committed, that is until he sees Gabriella.
Gabriella in return is such an innocent soul, events from her past haunt her till this day, unable to move forward she has found a way of living and coping the best she can, extremely bright she has found a way to occupy her time doing something that she thinks has no consequence, never in a million years she thought danger was lurking and was about to knock at her door putting her in a situation where she will have to face her fears.

This book is like nothing I have read before, it had me in a constant state of excitement, the plot is explosive and so cleverly constructed plus there's plenty of sexual energy to shock you and enthral you.
Kissing my Killer, Is a complete page turner, you would want to devour the book like me in one go. There are some situations where you want to scream, others make you squirm and many will leave you simply breathless.

Helena Newbury has written the perfect story for all fans of a good romance, but also for those who appreciate a great suspenseful book.

Thirty Nights by Ani Keating

REVIEWED BY Micky Barnard

Thirty Nights (American Beauty, #1)Thirty Nights by Ani Keating
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

4.5 stars.

This read was a breath of fresh as the storyline was unusual and captured a unique immigration situation alongside two very compelling characters. This book engaged my attention completely and I found myself wrapped up in Elisa and Aiden's world.

Elisa is a brilliant scientist in the making, at the end of her degree programme but graduation spells the end of her permission to remain in the US. She has reasons for not wanting to return to the UK. Elisa has found family in some fellow immigrants and this book paints a compassionate picture of their life and desire to remain. Elisa poses for an artist to supplement her living expenses and Aiden Hale buys some of the paintings. Aiden is a wonderful, flawed character, I was drawn to him and wanted to dig deeper to know how he ticked. This book ended in a way that was most unexpected at had me aghast, inwardly screaming and left longing.

Ani Keating has show such creative abilities in her storyline and the easy flow of writing just adds to the experience. The character development was detailed, so that I really got to understand their thinking, desires and aspirations. I am excited at reading more from this author and even more at knowing more about Aiden and Elisa.

True Love by Melissa Pearl

True Love (A Songbird Novel)True Love by Melissa Pearl
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is my first Melissa Pearl book but I feel sure it won't be my last.

Some great twist in this book and it is not your normal rock star romance, it is so much more.

Ness is the drummer in Chaos and has been in love with Jimmy the lead singer since high school.

Jimmy cares for all the band members but is the normal rock star player.

Several events are set in motion that change everything. True Love is a story of heart break, loss and fighting your way back to yourself. May not be who your thought you would be but maybe its a better you, or just a different you.

Melissa tells us to love ourselves first then you have the ability to love someone else. Music is healing for all the characters and I connect with that as I love music and how it can change my moods.

I love Nessa's stubborness and her weakness.
Jimmy is not perfect but his patience is a wonderful thing.

Vegas Love by Jillian Dodd

REVIEWED By Monique Cashmere

Vegas LoveVegas Love by Jillian Dodd
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was so happy to see a new book by Jillian Dodd. I started it straight off - late one night. I literally had to tell myself to step away from the iPad and get some sleep. I woke the next morning cancelling all other matters to finish it.

I loved all the characters - Ashlyn the young beautiful actress that wants to find not only a true love but the security and kinship that comes with it.
Cash, the cheeky lawyer who is ready to come back into the family fold after experiencing a life in another state. And Cash's brothers and sister (who I have my fingers crossed for books 2, 3, & 4!)

What I also adored about this book is that I have been lucky enough to have travelled to Vegas and LA and it was a treasure reading and reminiscing about these places again.

The two main characters are delightful together. They have instant chemistry and wittiness that are a pleasure to read.

I am so hoping there will be more from this book. The brothers I am sure each have a story to tell as does Chloe, Cash's twin sister. Because then we will also have updates on Ashlyn and Cash and hopefully babies. This book is definitely one not to miss.
