Trusting Gibson by Author K.L. Shandwick.

REVIEWED By Joanne Swinney

Trusting Gibson (Last Score, #2)Trusting Gibson by K.L. Shandwick
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Trust is one of the hardest things to do, especially when you have put your trust in someone whole heartedly and they have let you down in the worst way. It's something that Chloe struggles with. What makes her doubtful is Gibson's legacy. He's a Rockstar and can have women whenever he wants, but what he wants now more than anything is Chloe. Life is not all Rock and Roll, after show parties and woman whenever he wants. Gibson has feelings, he's a man first, who then became a Rockstar. People only see, Gibson the Rockstar not the real Gibson.
To me, I was not only reading about a Rockstar and all his flaws or about Chloe and her past, but a compelling story of love and trust. How life can change dramatically. How people cope with trauma, not just the person who has had a traumatic experience but all those around that it also affects.
Life can be cruel sometimes but I also believe, everything happens for a reason. You can survive anything, overcome anything if you have the right people around you, who love and care for you no matter what.
There is humour in this book that had me laughing out loud. It is also a sexy read, some very intense moments. I was drawn in to continue turning the pages. I would loved to read more of Gibson & Chloe's story. I hope there will be a book three. I couldn't possibly sum up this book with one word because it was, brilliant, sexy, funny, compelling. I loved it.

No Ordinary Billionaire by Author J.S. Scott

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

No Ordinary Billionaire (The Sinclairs, #1)No Ordinary Billionaire by J.S. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I had the absolute pleasure of reviewing this arc by Author J.S.Scott.
Let me introduce you to, Dante Sinclair. He's a police officer working in homicide, so officially a homicide detective and good at what he does. Unfortunately his long term partner Patrick dies in the line of duty, nothing Dante did could save him and that is tearing him apart. He's in hospital can't even make his best friends funeral. Things are looking bleak for Dante right now. All his family rush to see him when they find out what's happened, it's agreed he will go with Grady his younger brother back to Maine until he is well. This is where we meet Doctor Sarah Baxter, she will be looking after Dante, not that he wants any help, he wants to feel the pain, believing he deserves it for not saving his partner who had a family. He had nothing, no one to care for. Sarah was just what he needed. When Sarah first met Dante, the first encounter didn't go down to well but boy was she attracted to him. She couldn't believe how hot he looked but even though he was a fine specimen of a man, she wouldn't go there, not just because he was a patient of hers, but because she didn't like sex. She only did it once and that was enough, she thought she wasn't good at it. Sarah was a genius, working her whole life to be better, brighter. Her mother constantly pushing her, no real childhood to speak of. I think they both needed each other. Once Dante stop being so stubborn and actually starting caring about Sarah when he caused her harm, he realised that he wanted to protect her and she definitely needed protecting. Her past had literally come to haunt her. This story was so detailed, I really felt like I knew Dante and Sarah. I was gasping at one point at the heart in my mouth moments. The romance is beautiful to read. The sex scenes are explosive. I just know Author JS Scott fans are going to fall in love with Dante as I have. Another brilliant read by an excellent Author. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing story.

5 Stars.

Wow! What a book! From the blurb, I knew this was going to be an emotional read but I had no idea what I was really in for. The author really drew me in to the book and I couldn't put it down. I became invested in the characters, Parker and Everitt, and I needed to be on their journey with them till the end, no matter how much it hurt. And it did hurt. My heart hurt so much for both of these characters for what they'd been through in the past and what was happening in their present. This was such a beautiful and emotional and absolutely heart-wrenching book. I loved it and do not hesitate to recommend it. Enjoy, but have your tissues handy.

Lovely Distraction by JJ Dorn
2 Stars.

When I read the blurb to Lovely Distraction, I was intrigued and truly looked forward to reading the book! Unfortunately, the book fell quite a bit short of expectations. I think that while the premise of the book was promising, the characters weren't really likeable and I found it difficult to connect with them. I also felt like the author just kept throwing more and more drama into the book to fill pages and it was really just too much. The story is written in both past and present tense and I don't think there was enough distinction (for me at least) between the two to eliminate confusion. Further to that, the lack of editing was a huge problem that I just couldn't ignore. Overall, I think this had the potential to be a great story, but unfortunately left me flat.
I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

Every book that JS Scott releases immediately becomes my new favorite and the new male lead, my new book boyfriend. However, I can honestly and unequivocally say that Dante is my absolute favorite of her 'boys'. This book was raw and real and heartbreaking and exciting and suspenseful and I loved every single minute of it. Dante and Sarah's relationship started off due to tragic circumstance and developed into something that was honest and empowering and yes, sexy as hell! I give this book 5 ridiculously scorching hot stars and declare that #DanteIsMine

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been reading the teasers for Filthy Desire and it looked like it was going to be a hot read. I was thrilled to see that our Jo & Isalovesbooks review team needed a reviewer for this book. I jumped at the chance to read and review it.

As I started reading this book I thought Matthew was a total jerk and had no idea how to treat a woman. Than he meets Ella and things begin to change. She came in for interview for a job at his club. She is not his usual type but there is something about her that peaks his interest. He loves how she challenges him and has a smart mouth, so he offers her a job at his club. He feels compelled to help this girl even though he does not know her. Which I thought was out of character for him but I loved that he wanted to protect her and keep her safe. Matthew makes a point not to date the staff but Ella is the exception to all his rules. This story was well written and you get to know about Ella's past and how they deal with it. Matthew is there to help her every step of the way.

I enjoyed reading this book and hope to read more books by this author.

Olivia Harlow, is a single mother to a little boy named Alex. Olivia's friends talk her into taking a weekend get away to Vegas. She ended up waking up in bed married to stranger, Damon Knyght, who is a billionaire.

Olivia runs home and attempts to have the marriage annulled. Damion won't let that happen and becomes stalkish. I was almost afraid for her for being in this bizarre situation.

The story has some twists that explain why Damion is the way he is. When details starting coming out about Damion it makes Olivia look at things differently.

Both Olivia and Damion have devastating losses in their past that also feeds into the story.

I was leery about Damon in the beginning but was fully in his corner at the end

This book is very well written and keeps you hooked until the very end. I couldn't put it down. This book is an absolute must read!

I really hope that there is a future book about Olivia's friends Alfonso and Mercedes.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Holly Walker's husband was killed in an accident leaving her and their beautiful daughter Emma to strive ahead without him. Holly stayed home with Emma and her beloved mother-in-law for about 18 months before returning to the work field as a maitre d'.

"But now, my soul is bleeding. My heart has stopped beating. I swore I'd never fall again...I can't go through the rest of my life hiding."

Pierre LeRoux, lost the love of his life. An arrogant Frenchman, Pierre had relocated to Sydney meet his wife and risen to Master Chef. After losing his wife and falling into despair he became known as the Monster Chef.

"What do I do? How can I come back to living? I have nothing left, mon amour. You left me and took my heart with you."

Monster Chef is well written. Over all I enjoyed Holly and Pierre. I loved Emma's curiosity and boldness. This book is comedic, sexy and romantic.

"Mummy said you're not very nice, but you look okay to me."

Two broken hearts dealing with their misery in completely different ways. Can they help each other to find happiness again?

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

Wow! This book grabbed a hold and didn't let go, even after the cliffhanger at the end, I was just thinking towards grabbing the next book to find out what happens.

I love reading new authors and Natalie Wrye will now be added to my list of must read authors. I am sucker for mysterious, dark romances. Saturday is an artist that is working two jobs, one as a bartender and one as a tour guide at an art museum. She has a chance encounter with a handsome man at the market and then suddenly he seems to be everywhere.

Life both. Love is both. Everything. Passion. Pain. You should embrace them, Saturday. They are honesty. They are truth. They are all that really matter.

Mark is handsome and mysterious. He won't answer Saturday's questions about what he does for a living, other than to say "everything." He disappears for days, takes shady phone calls when they are together, and is evasive to her questions.

Saturday falls hard for Mark, but who is he really?

Great short read with plenty of page turning mystery. Nothing is ever as it seems.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I really enjoyed this book. Holly is a widowed mother of a 7 year old daughter who lives with her mother-in-law. When Holly's husband died in a car accident, all three of these ladies pulled together to support, love and carry one another. Holly is finally ready to go back into the working world and be a good example of strength for her daughter. She is determined to make her new job work, even if it means working with an intolerable erratic man like the head chef, Pierre. Because of the pain Holly still carries, she can also see that Pierre's anger and attitude mask a deep pain of his own as well.
I love great sexual tension. This book definitely had it. There was a lot of chemistry between Holly, a strong and confident woman who knows her own mind, and Pierre, a very, very, very (I had to say it three times) sexy, intense and passionate Frenchman. Oh, and did I mention he cooks too?
I am definitely looking forward to the next one in this series.

Monster ChefMonster Chef by Margaret McHeyzer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Genial! French for brilliant. I loved this book. The story captured me from the very first page. Reading about Holly and Pierre. Holly a single mum, daughter Emma aged 7 years old. Holly decides to go back to work, the timing feels right and she wants to do something with her life. She is an absolute great mother to Emma. They both live with Holly's mother in law, Bromwyn. She is a lovely woman, she wants nothing more than Holly and Emma to be happy. Sometimes in life you have to take a risk or you will never know and always wonder what if, plus it could be the best decision you ever made. Pierre works in a restaurant as head chef, he's arrogant, rude, over bearing, moody, oh the list is endless. He's had a lot to deal with but is this a good enough excuse to behave in such a way towards others?. I think maybe he didn't care about his attitude because he almost stop living in the same world as everyone else. Literally going to work to create his recipes then back home to find oblivion. All the waiting staff find him very attractive but he pays them no attention. Holly ends up having to work with Pierre, Pierre doesn't want to work with Holly, she basically doesn't care about his attitude, she has a job to do and she's going to do it, no matter what he says. This story is about giving and receiving second chances in life. A second chance at love. Two people who deserve happiness but are frightened to take the risk. Pierre can not only cook up a storm in his kitchen, he's explosive in the bedroom. Oui, the man is French and passionate. I would definitely recommend this book.

Monster Chef by Margaret McHeyzer
5 Michelin stars!

Margaret McHeyzer never ceases to amaze me. Her writing just gets better and better with each book and dare I say that she's outdone even herself with Monster Chef?

This book is perfection. It has love, heartbreak, sex, humor and a precocious 7 year old girl. Honestly, you'll fall in love with the three main characters of this book. Pierre, with his ingrained French arrogance and his way around a deconstructed lemon meringue pie and Holly with her sassiness and refusal to back down. And absolutely Emma with her sweet, sweet childish disposition - for me she stole the show! The book had me laughing at times and left me with a lump in my throat at others. I felt so many emotions while reading Monster Chef and I just love that it had the ability to elicit so much from me. I don't hesitate to recommend this book and give it 5 out of 5 stars.

REVIEWED BY Melinda Lazar

Love Waltzes In (Dancing under the Stars, #1)Love Waltzes In by Alana Albertson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Love Waltzes In by Alana Albertson 3*

This book is essentially a second-chance romance between a competitive ballroom dancer, Selena and her former dance partner/boyfriend and current marine, Bret. While I thoroughly enjoyed the dance references and the underlying point of the story, I think that the author spent a lot of time explaining dance technicalities instead of character development. I also thought that the story was a bit choppy which meant that I didn't quite get the transition in certain scenes. As I said, the concept of the book is a good one - great if you love watching Dancing shows like I do - but there needed to be more character and plot development.

A copy of this book was provided by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Oh my God. Violet Duke just outdid herself with this second chance romance. It really was a beautiful story featuring two of my favorite characters. Truth be told, I've been waiting for Isaac to get his happily ever after ever since he made an appearance in Ms Duke's Nice Girl To Love series and honestly, the wait was absolutely worth it. The chemistry between Isaac and Xoey is insane and they give new (hot!) meaning to partial benefits. I laughed and cried through this book and I felt everything the characters were feeling. There were a few surprise twists that had my brows flying off my face and that made the book perfect! Please get this book, it's truly fabulous, as is the whole series.

Rules Of Payne by Elizabeth Lynx

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Rules of PayneRules of Payne by Elizabeth Lynx
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Rules of Payne gets 5.0 stars on humor alone.

Morgana made a few bad decisions in her past and has put off dating to focus on her career. That being said, she has no problem torturing her boss, Henrik Payne daily with her sexy outfits and thigh high stockings.

Focus, Morgana. You can see the finish line; don't let Heart and Vagina cloud your judgment." Brain points out."

Henrik has rules... no dating, focus on work, no drinking, do nothing that will be an embarrassment to his employer. Yeah, so that doesn't work so well for him, especially with Morgana as his personal assistant.

Her long red hair, large rounded hazel eyes, and pouty lips are screaming at me, 'F**k me!' and I am listening. Actually my d**k is listening as it has decided to reach for her under the desk.

Elizabeth has done an amazing job of character development and her writing style is wonderful. The humor from both main characters is off the charts. If you are looking for a well-written, laugh-out-loud read, this is it! A bit of cliffhanger. Can't wait for the sequel expected out this summer!

Love, Sex & Blood by J.S. Lewis

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Love, Sex & Blood (The Jamaican American Thug Drama Saga Book 5 2014 Edition)Love, Sex & Blood by J.S. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The last book in the series. My emotions are all over the place. This series has opened my eyes to things I knew nothing about. I have cried while my heart was breaking in two. Why so much drama because of who you are and who you choose to be with?. Even though life is full of complications for Jevaughn and the people around him, one thing is for certain, true love will stand the test of time. When two souls connect, they are unbreakable, nothing can come between two people who love each other so much. Friendships become stronger in this book, each looking out for one another, everyone wanting to protect Jevaughn with their life. I have become to love these characters, they went through so much, all in the name of love. Love Sex & Blood, meaning Love Sex and Death, so sad reading about these events. When you are left with little option but to kill or be killed, it is beyond my comprehension. I know this whole series will stay with me forever. This book is filled with Love, Passion, Violence, Death, Affection, Worry and happiness, it really has it all. I have followed the lives of Jevaughn. Dre. Kragie. Ricky. AJ. Keemo, Dereon. These men have fought for their lives, argued and fought with each other and felt love and hate. They have formed friendships that will last a lifetime, above all, they have found their special someone. No one is perfect in this world, everyone makes mistakes, it is how we become the person that we are. I am happy that I had the chance to read this book, I knew from the very first book, I was hooked. Brilliant ending to an amazing saga. I will definitely be reading more works by this Author. J.S.Lewis I have love in my heart for you. Thank you for introducing me to Jamaican American Thug Drama, where it all began.

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

That Very Crazy Thing We Call Love (The Jamaican American Thug Drama Saga Book 4 2014 Edition)That Very Crazy Thing We Call Love by J.S. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Drama continues. Even though I want to read they all lived happily ever after, I know once this series is over I will be left wanting more.
Jevaughn seems the happiest he's ever been in his life, things seem brighter but there is always someone that hates to see you happy.
Kraige still loves Jevaughn but, Dre is in love with him. Have you ever felt so deeply in love before that you would do anything for that person, including death, to save your one and only?. This book is so moving, I can sense the love bursting out of the pages.
Jevaughn has two friends he has known his whole life, Dereon and Keemo. Dereon is more the jealous friend wanting what he can't have but will try anything to get it. Keemo is a true friend, always there when he is needed.
Kraige's son, Ricky still loves Jevaughn and wants him to be happy in life. Ricky seeks affection from Dereon. Jevaughn is hurt because he knows Dereon does not love Ricky. They all want to protect each other, specially Jevaughn as he is not as strong as the others, he has the strength to fight death but matters of the heart, crush him deeply. When your friends become your enemies and you are unaware of this, it brings a whole world of trouble. When the unthinkable happens, you feel left alone in this world, all you want to do is die, so the hurting will stop. Powerful scenes will grip you in this book. Doesn't matter who loves who, at the end true love will last forever. I have been so moved by this saga, I just have to keep reading. Book five is next 'Love Sex and Blood', I can't wait to read it. J.S.Lewis thank you for sharing your amazing books with me.

Oh My God I feel so happy. There is always a reason why things happen. They say god works in mysterious ways. Never a truer statement. Jevaughn has made mistakes, trusted his partners with his heart, only to have it broken. He really doesn't cope with break ups well, falling into deep depression. Dre has always been there for him. Even though Dre loved him desperately, he would let him live his life with who made him happy, no matter how much this hurt him. You really can't help who you fall in love with, what the heart wants, the heart hopefully gets, regardless of pain and sacrifice. It's been a long and painful process for Jevaughn. Dre and Kraige, having profound affects on each other's lives. I hope all this drama is over for them. They each deserve happiness. Thank you for making me smile with this book, J.S.Lewis. I'm raring to go and read book four 'That Very Crazy Thing We Call Love'.

The Boy Kraigie Brought Home by J.S. Lewis

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

The Boy Kraigie Brought Home (The Jamaican American Thug Drama Saga Book 2 2014 Edition)The Boy Kraigie Brought Home by J.S. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Drama, Drama with a capital D. My god this book was intense. The saddest I felt reading about the characters in this book has me at a loss. After reading book one 'Jamaican America Thug Drama', I wanted to know what happened in Jevaughn's life. Was he finally happy?, Did he move on?, so many questions running through my mind. Not only do we read more about Jevaughn, we hear about the other characters, Dre, Kraigie, Ricky, Crissy, Zagga, not much about Dizzy, be thankful for that. My poor heart is on melt down because my mind is so engrossed in this story.
Jevaughn is young and making mistakes in his life, he's learning as he goes. He first fell in love with Dre but Dre knew he was no good for Jevaughn, he brought him pain and suffering. it becomes clear in this book why that is so. Do you believe in witchcraft? It's the only term I can use to sum up the goings on in this story. So Jevaughn loves Dre, Dre loves him. Dre loves Dizzy and Dizzy loves him. Dizzy hates Jevaughn and the feeling is mutual. Kraigie loves Jevaughn and he in return loves him. Kraigie hates Dizzy also. Crissy loves Dre and he loved her. Crissy hates Jevaughn and Dizzy. Dizzy hates her, Javaughn doesn't love or hate her. Ricky loves Jevaughn and he loves Ricky but in a different way. Ricky hates Dre. Dre hates Zagga. I hate Zagga who loves Crissy, if you can call it love. Jesus now that lot is more than a triangle. Try and get your head round that lot people. Love and hate such a thin line between the two. You have to have feelings to feel both. Jevaughn is so confused, he wants to do the right thing but he's in conflicted having no one to talk to, no real guidance to help him out.
Kraigie is miserable because of recent events. Dre is lonely. Crissy is living in hell. Dizzy is in hell. Ricky is optimistic. Zagga needs to burn in hell. Oh and let's not forget AJ, he doesn't know what's going on but he feels a war coming on. Now it's time to read book three, 'The Return of The American Thug'. What will happen? I have no clue. What do I want to happen? I'm praying for happiness. Another fantastic read, thank you J.S.Lewis. Once again you have literally gripped my heart.

For Luca (Chicago Syndicate, #2)For Luca by Soraya Naomi
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

If you haven't read For Fallon, you need to before reading For Luca.

This is the final installment in the Fallon and Luca story, even though there are more books in this series. Fallon and Luca have separated due to the lack of trust between them. I appreciated the realism in the time span with which things occur as so many times in books major events last only days. It is obvious the love for each that Fallon and Luca have but neither trust the other.

I ache for him in a way I've never ached before

Fallon is frustrating in this book and I don't agree with some of her decisions. Luca tries so hard to do the right thing with Fallon that sometimes you forget he is a second in command in the Chicago syndicate.

..our love would go on whether she is with me or not

Law enforcement has let me down, and I let Luca down, and now he's shut the door on us for good.

There is so many twist and revelations (a major one at the end) in For Luca that it definitely kept me on my toes.

I enjoyed this book and am looking forward to For Adriano. For Fallon has been my favorite so far, but I foresee some good stuff in the next book.

When The Chips Are Down by Beth Rinyu

I really loved this latest book by Beth Rinyu! I thought it highly entertaining and found myself smiling throughout most of the book. Having said that, the book did touch on some very serious issues thus resulting in some heartbreaking moments. It really was perfectly balanced. The book was written in multiple points of view which I thought was perfect for this story! The personalities were just so great and I truly loved getting to know them - Ben, Melanie, Carrie, Gia and let's not forget Jodi! - were so damn likeable and easy to relate to that I honestly felt like I could just call them up for a quick chat! I loved this book and can't wait to read Gia & Carrie's books! I do not hesitate to recommend this fabulous read and give it 5 stars!

Jamaican American Thug Drama by J.S. Lewis

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Jamaican American Thug DramaJamaican American Thug Drama by J.S. Lewis
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is not your original romance story. There's no boy meets girl and falls in love. There's no hot CEO to rush in and save the day.
What you do get is a hot thug with plenty of drama. The title really does say it all.
I connected with this book instantly, the writer J.S.Lewis drawing me into this story with his brilliant description of events taking place.
Jevaughn Wilson a young man got his whole life ahead of him. He's black and gay, I know shock, horror. Seriously people you need to get over the racist, gay comments, it's becoming boring. Who cares what a person chooses to do with his or her life. Jevaughn is Gay living in a land where it is beyond frowned upon, it's almost like a law that you can't be.
At times this story broke my heart, the sadness I felt for something that I knew nothing about.
I can't believe people actually got beaten up, badly, for being gay, sometimes even death.
Jevaughn suffered so much just for being the person he wanted to be. His mother, Jesus she doesn't deserve that title, putting her own child in hospital. Is he not still her son that she should have loved and protected with her life?
Jevaughn was in love with a guy called Dre. The American Thug, problem was Dre was straight, he had a girlfriend, that relationship was beyond complicated.
When Jevaughn helps Dre out of a sticky situation, shall we say, they become friends. Jevaughn is ecstatic being close to Dre and you can tell Dre does like him but I don't think he's the right man for him.
No matter how much Jevaughn wishes his dreams would come true and be close to Dre, I was praying for him to take a different route.
Dre starts to really like Jevaughn, they become even closer one night and literally all hell breaks loose. Dre swears he will look after and protect him but we all know you can't always protect the ones we love.
The complete unimaginable happens, scenes of horrific violence. Nothing like what I have ever read before. There was actual pain in my heart, tears rolling down my face. My mind thinking, where is help when you need it.
When you have lived through something so traumatic, where do you go from there, how do you rebuild your life? Most people have family who love and care for them. A saviour that's what Jevaughn needed.
I could tell you so much about this book, it touched me deeply.
I hope readers give it a chance like I did. I will be reading book two where the saga continues.
I'm holding out for dreams to come and the right paths to be chosen. Thank you J.S.Lewis for writing this book. I wish you all the success in the world.

For Fallon by Soraya Naomi

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

For Fallon (Chicago Syndicate, #1)For Fallon by Soraya Naomi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy for an honest review.

I started reading For Fallon and messaged a friend it was going to be a good one and I already loved Luca, even though he is oh so bad.

Fallon is a 25 copy editor and is happy with her best friend, her job and her e-reader. Luca is a 29 year old second in command of the Chicago syndicate. Luca needs information he originally believes he can get from Fallon and has been following her. The book begins with Fallon and her girlfriend going clubbing. Fallon and Luca meet that night and there are fireworks.

This is an intense ride of love, deceit and murder. I enjoyed every page and couldn't wait to see what would happen next. Fallon is sweet and innocent but strong; Luca, delicious but lethal. I loved them together and how she brought out his tender side.

Everything takes a wrong turn and the angst is wonderful and exciting. Soraya Naomi knocked this one out of the park. Looking forward to the remainder of this series.

Mirage Beyond Flames by Melinda De Ross

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Mirage Beyond Flames (Coriola, #1)Mirage Beyond Flames by Melinda De Ross
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review.

Mirage Beyond Flames is a romance novel with a bit of paranormal activity. Gerard and Linda, meet at a cancer clinic for children. Linda is a contributor financially from her success as a sculptor and Gerard is a research physician. A close friend who also researches cancer treatments beckons him to Romania to discuss a treatment. Gerard takes Linda along for an adventure. The two encounter something odd in the forest on the way to his friends home.

Gerard and Linda fall for each other pretty quickly, but as with most couples have issues to resolve before they can fully commit.

Gerard is a hot Frenchman who loves his mom. Who doesn't love a guy that loves his mom and French to boot. Linda is divorced and a bit skeptical of her feelings as well as Gerard's feeling. Her ex-husband left her with many insecurities.

The paranormal aspect was an unusual twist, but was woven into the story. The author's descriptive writing was well done and painted beautiful scenery. I would recommend this book to romance lovers with a bit of paranormal.

Stranger & Switch by Author N.M. Catalano

REVIEWED BY Ann Meemken

StrangerStranger by N.M. Catalano
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Elizabeth has kept to her self after a bad relationship with her ex husband. She is out at the bar with some friends and sees a hot guy across the bar. She enjoys the time she has with her friends talking, drinking and dancing with random guys. She keeps noticing this stranger looking at her and giving her glances. She feels drawn to this man and it stirs feelings inside her that she has not felt in years. Since she feeling this way she knew it was time to leave the bar so she says good bye to her friends. She is enjoying the night air and thinking about the stranger. She does not notice the crack in sidewalk and her heel gets stuck in the crack. As she is falling the stranger catches her. When his hand came around her she knew exactly who it was. He is holding her close to him and says " Let's go Elizabeth". At this point in the story I was on edge, wondering what she was going to do. I was surprised that she leaves with him. I am going thru my mind of all the different things that could happen to her. I never once thought of the scenerio that does happen.

I loved how this story was written. A chance meeting in a bar and both thought it was going to be a one night stand and It turned into so much more. I loved the connection Elizabeth and Marco shared there first night together. It was hot, steamy and erotic and passion like that always leaves you wanting more. At first there relationship was just about mind blowing sex but as their relationship grows they begin wanting to know more about each other. They don't know about each other's past and what obstacles they will have to overcome. In Stranger you get to know more about Elizabeth's past and how they handle it but Marco is still a mystery yet. I am excited to discover more about them in SWITCH.

I was gifted an arc by Isalovesbooks review team.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have been reading the reviews on amazon and goodreads for both Stranger and Switch. By reading the reviews and seeing the teasers knew I had to read them, so I had added both of them to my to be read list. When I came upon a post on Isalovesbooks review team that they were looking for someone to review Switch, I nabbed it up. I had to have it and to my surprise I was able to get both books. I was very excited.

You have to read both of the books to get the full story about them. I loved both of these books. In Stranger you get to know how they met, there history together and how they deal with Elizabeth's obstacles. Than there is Marco who know's how to get what he wants, how to please a woman and worships Elizabeth. Beyond that he is still a mystery waiting to be solved.

In Switch is where we get to know about Marco and what makes him tick. Marco is a bussiness man that is trying to get a huge project set into motion. He uses the project to spend more time with Elizabeth. There is someone that is trying to sabtoage the project, he has been working on. Than there is Elizabeth that is keeping him in check and helping him thru his frustration with the project. He feels himself losing control when it comes to Elizabeth he can't get enough of her. He wants to make a life with her. She wants that to, but there is still something that she does not know. She needs to fiqure it out before she takes the next step with him. Will his secret tear them apart or make them stronger than ever? We also meet Elsie who is Elizabeth friend that helps her throughout her relationship with Marco. She is going to be the main character in the next book KINK. It sounds like it will be another panty melting read. I can not wait to read it along with any other books that NM CATALANO puts out.

Hazzard Blue by Tabitha A. Lane

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Hazzard BlueHazzard Blue by Tabitha A. Lane
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

There is no cliffhanger and this is a standalone novel. Nice change for the erotic/adult romance genre.

Kathryn strapped with the heritage of a large estate home to care for with repairs and taxes piling up is offered a way out; accept an offer from Daniel to rent her house out for one night for a sex party. How could that go wrong...

Kathryn has been careful to keep her life in separate categories; work, home and sex. She has always been careful to not let the different areas collide until now.

Hazzard Blue was a different plot which I enjoyed. It has a bit of everything, lust, mystery and action. Daniel is a hot older alpha male, and who doesn't love that. Kathryn is an interesting character coming from a prestigious family, that has no money left.

Overall an enjoyable read.

Out for the Holidays by Susan Mac Nicol

REVIEWED BY Joanne Swinney

Out for the HolidaysOut for the Holidays by Susan Mac Nicol
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This a great short story. Even though it is only a short read, Author Susan Mac Nicol told me everything I needed to know, building a perfect picture of the characters.
Samuel has a loud personality, he is gay and proud to shout about it. He can come across as being quite selfish but not meaning to be. He was brought up by his brother, Christian after losing their parents when he was only a teenager. Him and his brother do seem to be close even though Christian had to take on the roll as a father.
Lucas is the complete opposite to Samuel, meaning he is gay but it is kept as a secret, he doesn't want anyone to know, he never found the right time to tell his parents and now with his mother gone, having passed away just months ago, he doesn't want to hurt his father, or shatter his dreams of having grandchildren.
Samuel is in love with Lucas and wants everyone to know. You can imagine the conflict going on in Lucas's head. Still to this day there are people out there who are homophobic and can be very nasty about it. Will Lucas's father be one of those people, or will he accept his son the way he is?
I really enjoyed this short read and I am looking forward to reading a full length novel by this Author.

Alaskan Lifeline by Author P.J. Belden.

Alaskan Lifeline (Stranded)Alaskan Lifeline by P.J. Belden
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First thoughts, wish I had read this earlier. I loved reading about Erykah and Chance. Oh! where to begin telling you about this wonderful story. Erykah is lovely girl working in a cafƩ, in the office and out front when they are short staffed. She works for three great guys, they have become he friends. she has a good relationship with them, Jared is especially close to her. Suzie is her best friend who also works in the cafƩ. Unfortunately Erykah has not had an easy life, losing both parents as she had just graduated college. She got into a relationship with a man called Allen. He was a despicable excuse for a man, think of the meanest thing your partner could do to you and I bet he did it, makes me sad to think some woman do go through this. Luckily she got away eventually, she is a strong woman and her instinct in life is survival. Her friends believe she needs a holiday but Erykah has never taken a day off in her life, such a hard working lady.
She decides to listen to her friends and accepts this great offer of a break, she had always wanted to go on a cruise to Alaska. This is where she meets Chance.
Let me tell you about Chance, a complete workaholic, again he has never taken a day off, never mind a holiday, so they have that in common. He sounds like a dream, looks wise but honestly comes across to be quite rude. He has family, a multi billion dollar business, the complete opposite lifestyle to Erykah. He is a ladies man, no messing around, it's in it's out and goodbye lady with a nice rack. Well that is what I see at first. He offers to take Erykah out on a sled ride to make up for is rudeness amongst other things, at first she declines but he won't take no for an answer.
So off they go when the boat docks. It is going well until tragedy strikes in a big way. Imagine being stranded in Alaska, freezing as in temperatures below zero. The only company they have is each other. What happens to them you may be thinking, well to find out you must read. What I will say is, life takes a devastating turn of events for both of them. This is a truly fantastic read, filled with romance, danger, intense moments and many complications. I would recommend this book to anyone who really loves a good story of romance under very unusual circumstances and doesn't want to know what is going to happen next. Thank you Author P.J.Belden for sharing your book with me. I am very keen to read more of your writing.

Blyssful Lies by Author J.C. Cliff

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Blyssful Lies (The Blyss Trilogy, #2)Blyssful Lies by J.C. Cliff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Blyssful Lies starts immediately where Blyss ended. There is a serious cliffhanger but the third book is expected out soon.

Nick is still determined to make Julianna his in every way. His obsession is growing worse. Travis is torn between his feelings for Julianna and his duty to Nick. Julianna is simply trying to survive. I continue to be in awe of her strength in surviving this situation and still retaining her sense of humor.

Blyssful Lies is written in the point of view of all three main characters; which gives the insight of each character, especially Nick and his reasons behind his obsession.

This is one wild, suspenseful ride that I truly enjoyed. Can't wait for the 3rd book.

Resisting You by Fabiola Francisco Reviewed by Joanne Swinney

Resisting You (Restoring Series, #1.5)Resisting You by Fabiola Francisco
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is a novella from Restoring Us which was a fantastic read, now we get to read Aiden's story. When Aiden was first introduced to me in the book Restoring Us, I knew his character was going to be brilliant, quite the ladies man.
Aiden can have any woman he wants but he's getting bored with his hookups lately. God the man really is a man whore but all his conquests know the score. He never lies to them, giving them false hope, no he tells them how it is, one night of sexual bliss. Yes he knows what he is doing, no woman has ever been disappointed after being with him. He does like to cuss a lot, it's part of his charm, oh and he has that in spades. Aiden is a challenge that many woman think they can change him. Pfft not likely.
He finds himself attracted to one woman in particular, his sister's friend and colleague Stacy, she's a great girl and knows to stay clear of men like Aiden, but he has other ideas not one to give up, after all, who can resist him?. Ha! Stacy can, but for how long? The sexual scenes in this book are HOT!! Shouty capitals, can you all hear? I loved this book. I know BDSM books and erotica can get boring after a while but if it has a great story line it will certainly keep me reading. If I had to summarised this book, I would say: short, hot, cussing, bad boy book. Thanks for introducing me to Aiden. I wish you well with this book Fabiola Francisco

A Cowboy and a Country Song by Author Sandy Sullivan

REVIEWED BY Lynette Kelly

A Cowboy and a Country Song (Cowboy Dreamin' Series Book 7)A Cowboy and a Country Song by Sandy Sullivan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cowboy and country song

Part of a series but can be read as a stand alone

This is the first book I've read in this series, and after a couple of chapters I totally got into this book. I really liked Jackson's character (what's not to like) he's a hot, honest, protective and caring cowboy, who lives on a ranch with his family.
Samantha Harris is a gorgeous country music singer, she has a crazy stalker and has terrible nerves before her performances.
Jackson's is asked to help out as security for a charity fundraising concert for the local children's hospital, and he couldn't refuse as he would be bodyguard to hot country star Samantha Harris. There is an obvious attraction between these two, and they begin to fall deeply for each other, However Samantha has big problems to overcome and how patient can Jackson be?
Sandy portrayed Samantha's character well, she was likeable and grounded, however not without her problems. I felt sorry for her one minute and frustrated the next but throughout the book I was routing for her.
The story did not hold back on the sex scenes, oh boy they were descriptive, sexy and HOT HOT HOT!
I would give this book 4 stars and will definitely look into the other books in this series.

Home Signal by Author Sarah Cass

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Home Signal (Dominion Falls #5)Home Signal by Sarah Cass
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rating 4.5

Home Signal is the 5th in a series of historic romances based in Dominion Falls. Jane, the main female character, is a strong female lead with a great sense of humor. She takes no flack from anyone and is a take charge lady. Jane and Cole seem to be a magnet for chaos. The two of them together are entertaining as they constantly cause mischief. Jane befalls some bad luck and can succumb to the fear or fight back.

A great historic romance that I enjoyed very much. The story pulled me in and I couldn't put it down. Mystery, drama, comedy and romance: a wonderful combination. I want to go back and read the previous books in this series. Sarah Cass has a grasp on this period; the dialogue, behaviors and settings. Jane and her brothers tossing quotes back and forth was so much fun. The relationship between Jane and Cole was endearing and their bantering made me laugh more than once.

This book was a joy to read.

Heartstrings & Hockey Pucks (Holidays in Lake Point #7)Heartstrings & Hockey Pucks by Sarah Cass
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This was a short and sweet read. This is a continuation of the Holidays in Lake Point series, although this can be read as a stand alone. Penelope "Pen" is deciding what her dream in music really is, being part of the Philadelphia Philharmonic or pursuing a singing career based on her secretly becoming a sensation on YouTube. Cage is a hockey player on his way to being part of the NHL very soon. They are best friends and no longer "friends with benefits". While they are each thinking about what they want for their future, they are also both coming to terms with what role they want the other to be part of that future - friends or lovers. Whatever they decide, there may be some obstacles to overcome. Will Pen choose her dreams and passions over her family? If you like an interesting story and sweet romance, then you will enjoy this story.

Billy by Sara York

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Billy (A Southern Thing #4)Billy by Sara York
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This was my first book I read from this author and I have to say I enjoyed it. I think reading the first books in the series is advisable but not compulsory.

Now before I begin my review I have to be honest and say I did indeed judged this book by it's cover and I was NOT expecting the story I got.
I have been reading my fair share of M/M romances but Billy was a breath of fresh air, yes it did took me a bit to get used to not having two very typical gay men in the story, Billy is very young, very naive and very different, he knows what he wants and he goes for it, but in order for him to be able to live a life where he is not criticised he moves with his brother in NY. He had plans to just concentrate on finishing his studies and get a job, but never in all his plans was meeting Sawyer. From that point Billy embarks in a path of self discovery and confidence, Sawyer couldn't be more different to Billy, he is loud and strong and very confident, but he is instantly attracted and he seems to accept everything about Billy, however, Sawyer is leading a dangerous and secret double life, one he wasn't expecting Billy to discover, what happens next is totally unexpected and its a big turning point in the story. I loved the suspense that this brought to the plot and the interactions were very well delivered between all the characters.
My only observation is that the last part felt a bit rushed, I was enjoying the twists and turns but some seemed to be resolved very fast and then we moved forward at a very fast pace.
Regardless Billy is a very decent read, is certainly well written and has an original story line with loveable characters.

The Lady and Her Assassin is a very short F/F erotica. The plot was good, just needed a bit more development which I understand is hard to do in a novella. Ray, a blind female assassin is sent to kill Valerie, a widowed noble that is unwillingly getting remarried. Ray watches her for several days instead of killing her right away. Ray has an unexplained fascination with Valerie. Valerie suspects she is being followed by an assassin but is unafraid. Valerie has secret desires that she has keep carefully concealed. If you desire a quick read Lady and Her Assassin can fit the bill.

No Ordinary Billionaire (The Sinclair's 1) By Author J.S. Scott

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

No Ordinary Billionaire (The Sinclairs, #1)No Ordinary Billionaire by J.S. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS...

This is the story of Dante Sinclair, normally he is just content by being a cop and he is exceedingly good at his job, but the story begins when he is shot down and his long term friend and partner is killed whilst in the line of duty.
From then on everything is a downward spiral for the normally controlled Dante, he is hurting, and not only by his injuries, the loss of Patrick has left an emptiness that he thinks no body will be able to fill. Guilty thoughts plague his mind constantly, even though he did everything to protect his partner there was nothing he could have done, the fact that he is single makes it even worse as Patrick had a wife and a son. Dante escapes the hustle and reminders of the incident and decides to go his house in Amesport, Maine to recover where is accompanied by his brother Jared. All of his siblings are terribly worried that Dante will never be able to bounce back fro such a loss and trauma. Whilst in Amesport we meet the lovely doctor Sarah Baxter. Sarah at 27 is a child prodigy, she grew up in a family with the highest of intellects and was only allowed to study never really leaving much time to play anything apart from Chess, even though she didn't have the ideal childhood she becomes a wonderful person and a brilliant doctor. Fate throws these two characters together and from their first encounter sparks fly. For both the emotions are new and unexpected, Dante's possessive side comes out surprising him by wanting something so fiercely. For Sarah, accustomed to have an explanation for everything, those uncontrolled feelings completely throw her of balance and make her aware of so many emotions for the first time in her life.
Events occur that will force these unlikely pair to spend more time with each other, slowly allowing to heal in more ways than one. For Sarah is a complete journey of discovery, for Dante is finding his purpose in life.

I know i say this before, but I absolutely adored this story, Dante was such a wonderful character, yes it possessed all those Alpha traits but he had such an amazing caring side, I loved every second.
Author J.S. Scott definitely holds the formula to a entertaining read. She knows how to please the readers with plenty of saucy moments, original dialogues and the perfect HEA.

ChameleonChameleon by Ashe Barker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chameleon was sexy and exotic being set in Marrakesh, Morocco, a very conservative culture. I understand that this is the first book in a new series (Totally Five Star).
Ethan is a friend to the owner of Totally Five Star hotel chain and is doing work for him on a possible new hotel site in Marrakesh when he meets Fleur. His initial impression of her as a peasant, he soon discovers is incorrect when he has a car accident and she treats him as the physician for Totally Five Star. Fleur has had wants/needs sexually that she has been lead to believe make her whorish and inappropriate, so she has never pursued her desires.

The two embark on a hot steamy relationship, until Ethan has to leave to go back to London. Not going to do a spoiler, you will just have to read to see what happens next. This book does contain some BDSM. The intimate scenes are well written and sexy.

The descriptions of Marrakesh and the culture are well done and interesting.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys some serious sexy time within a story with great substance.

Filthy Desire by Sebastian Ex

This is a great book written by a debut author. While the book contained elements of a genre I don't enjoy, I will say the book was very well-written and engaging. I honestly had nothing but dislike for the main character, Matt at the beginning of the book because he was just such a pig! But he definitely grew on me so much and well and truly redeemed himself. The female lead I also really liked and felt a great deal of compassion towards. She'd been through so much and come out stronger for it. The character development was spot-on and entertaining to read. I surprisingly enjoyed this book and do recommend it to readers who are also partial to erotica with a great storyline. I give this 4 stars.

Boy Toy Volume 1 by Jay McLean

When I first saw this book being advertised I was immediately intrigued but what made me preorder was the warning! Mildly inappropriate everything is right up my alley and boy, does Boy Toy Chronicles Vol 1 live up to that warning! This book was beyond hilarious. I laughed so much that I was snorting and crying all over the place (very unattractive). Then the next thing I knew, I had tears of sadness in my eyes! That's not something I was expecting but in the midst of all the humor, I loved that there were touching moments to balance it out. I really enjoyed this short read and I won't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who'll listen to me. My only complaint is that I wanted more, more, more! This is the first book I've read by this author but I'll be seeking out her other books without hesitation.
