Amy is grieving the loss of her husband. When she is told she inherited On the Sound which is a run down bed and breakfast on lopez island. She has every intention on selling the property that is until she falls in love with it and does not want to leave. She decides to keep it and start a new life for herself.
Ben an upcoming hollywood star and oscar nominee. He has had a streak of bad luck with bad movie after bad movie. He has lost his passion for his craft. He decided to take a break from his life after a drunken interview on national tv. He goes to On the Sound a bed and breakfast on lopez island to hide from the paparazzi. He needs to find himself and decide on what he wants for his future.
This story is one of friendship, hope, understanding and love. I enjoyed the story along with the character's. It started out a bit slow but once the story started unfolding, I was hooked. The ending was a amazing. A wonderful debut book by Jamie Matthews.
