Sight And Sinners by Susan Mac Nicol

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Sight and Sinners (Men of London, #2)Sight and Sinners by Susan Mac Nicol
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sight and Sinners is the second book in The Men Of London Series, I had the pleasure of reading Susan's first book Love You Senseless and I absolutely loved it, we obviously had the opportunity to read about Taylor in that book and I was happy to know we didn't have to wait too long to read his own story.

I wasn't expecting to be completely absorbed by the perfectly structured dialogue, or by the events surrounding this book. The secondary characters are engaging, and each is written in their individual way.
From the very first page, Susan engages the reader's attention and that feeling to constantly wanting to read on carries on throughout the whole book, we knew from the first book in the series that Taylor has psychic abilities, weather this seems like a curse to him, in retrospect is what leads him to meet Draven, Taylor is quiet and more reserved but by no means weak, he has an incredible personality but is constantly plagued by dreams of death which fully prevents him from opening up to everyone; enters Draven an Investigator with his outspoken and crude personality but with his own demons, what you get is an explosive combination.
From the very first time they met sparks fly out of the pages, their interactions are so well described and they ooze passion, however, Draven is skeptical of Taylor's ability but it will only take the death of someone closer to both of them for him to realise the true gift he's been given, but allowing Taylor to work close to him can only lead for their relationship to become more than a professional one, and this doesn't sit well with Draven as he hides a painful secret, one that he thinks can tarnish everyone he gets closer too.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, I laughed and cried and sighed and screamed, it awakened so many emotions in me, I can honestly say not a lot of books have had that power. Susan writes from the heart and with such flawless ease that makes each story so special, definitely this one has been for me.
I can't wait for the next instalment in the series, I am sure Leslie will be fun to read!

Sight And Sinners is a fast paced, romantic, captivating and a total page turner of a story!
