Without You by Lindsay Detwiler
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I received a complimentary copy of Without You in exchange for an honest review.
I'll be honest when I first started reading this book I didn't like it as I felt Jenna was being whinny but I gave it another chance and am really glad I did. I think I really stopped reading it because it was hitting a little close to home.
Jenna and Camden has been married for 5 years and Jenna thinks they are falling out of love and losing each other.
I think the author protrays a 'real' marriage and the stages it goes through. It really made me think about my 20 years of marriage. When was the last time we held hands...lost time we spent an evening together being together instead of one of going off to the den to watch tv and the other one being in the other room doing their own thing.
I think I would have a really hard time if my husband has a close friendship with another woman. But this book also made me see the other side of that. Vi helps Camden see the other side of his relationship with Jenna and Camden helps Vi see the other side of her relationship with Liam.
This books also brings home the #1 important factor in any relationship is communication.
Thank you, Lindsay for writing a book that really makes a person (me) take a look at their marriage/relationship.
