The Worst of Me by Lisa J. Hobman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Nick Dacre is living his dream as a rock star. That is until he wakes up one morning not knowing what he did the night before. He feels lost and unsure of what he wants to do with his life. He has a health scare which makes him take some time off to regroup.
He needs to find a location that is isolated and where no one will know who he is. He remembers an encounter with Catriona a maid he met in a hotel in London. She told him about her home town of Gairloch Scotland. He thinks it will be the perfect place for rest and relaxation.
When he arrives in Gairloch he needs a drink and a place to sleep. He stops at the first pub he sees. He is surprised to find out its Catriona's dad that owns the pub he is staying at. Catriona is not at all thrilled that he is there. Will he be able to change her mind about him?
I love this story and the character's. Catriona is a very out spoken and likes to speak her mind. She is very passionate about what she holds dear to her heart. Nick may be famous rock star but Catriona does not fall all over him, like most women do. She is a challenge. He is likes that. He just needs some one that likes him, not his rock star status.
