Any Time, Any Place by Jennifer Probst
This is the second standalone in Probst's Billionaire Brothers series and is the story of the youngest brother, Dalton and Raven, the owner and mixologist of My Place, the most popular bar in town.
Dalton is very interested in starting something with Raven but is kept firmly at arms length. Unbeknownst to him, the two already have a history; Raven's father and Dalton's mother had attempted to run away together before they were tragically killed in a car accident on their way to the airport. Both have issues accepting this and are seeking answers from people who have no way of enlightening them. While Dalton simply wants answers, Raven is out for revenge and sees her opportunity when she reluctantly hires Dalton to restore her bar to its original and authentic beauty.
This book was an okay read for me. There was drama, a feisty and badass heroine, a swoony hero. Some of it just didn't sit well enough and I can't pinpoint why. It certainly had all the elements of a great read but the execution just wasn't there and I had difficulty connecting with the main characters. I look forward to the next book in the series and Tristan's story (I hope!).
