Sweet Dreams, Baby Belle by Kim Carter

REVIEWED BY Kari Cox

Sweet Dreams, Baby BelleSweet Dreams, Baby Belle by Kim Carter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Lizzie thought she was getting the perfect life when she married Grant. She was a small town girl marrying a wealthy doctor who treated her like a princess. Her fairy tale, however, didn't last. Grant becomes cruel and controlling. Lizzie is cut off from her family and friends and locked away in Grant's estate. The more she learns about her new husband the more she realizes he is a very bad man. She escapes her confines and hides away in a secret place. While she's there, she runs across a grave of a little girl that brings a whole new set of adventures to her story.

The book was creative. It provided a lot of mystery and intrigue with the drama of the old ladies, the brother and sister, Grant and Ponzi scheme, the estate's staff, and Baby Belle. You never know what to expect from the next chapter. I liked the old lady's characters. They brought some good humor to the story. I liked Kenny as well. He brought some humor as well and was very sweet to Lizzie. My only complaint with this book would be that there was so much going on it was almost too much to appreciate the individual aspects of the story and it was hard to keep up with the happenings in all the different situations. Overall, it was a very interesting read.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
