Harley's Achilles by Sandrine Gasq-Dion

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Harley's Achilles (The Rock Series, #3)Harley's Achilles by Sandrine Gasq-Dion
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

OH WHAT A FANTASTIC STORY THIS WAS!!!!

This book has become a favourite amongst fans of the M/M genre, and after rapidly climbing the charts on it's day of release, it was not surprise to see it grabbing the #1 ranking place in the Gay Erotica and Gay Romance Genre bestseller list.

This is the first book I've read from Author Sandrine Gasq-Dion and I was so pleased to have discovered her. A total page turner, with a solid story and well crafted characters, Harley's Achilles is the 3rd book in the Rock Series but it can be read as a standalone.

Harley seems to have everything a rock star could ever want; the money, the fame and the women, however, wanting and needing are too very different things, and as we embarked on this epic journey we very soon discover that what Harley really needs comes in a completely different form. Enters Achilles, beautiful and strong, he has been working for Harley's as his personal security detail. He has seen Harley on a downward spiral for far too long and is finding it harder and harder to resist the emotions which have been harbouring deep within his soul. He can't seem to understand why someone who seem to have it all just can't be content.
Both men have been very good at masking and hiding the pain and suffering life has thrown at them, for Achilles as a former Delta Force Leader was the loss of his entire team and of his first love and well for Harley has been the death of his brother and the constant negligence and lack of attention from his parents. Neither men was prepared to put their emotions on the line, Harley hasn't felt worthy of being properly loved and has never really open up to anyone, the only person who he was able to confide on has been taken from him. So when fate intervenes allowing both to learn about each other, Harley and Achilles weren't expected to put their feelings and fears to the test.
With fantastic dialogues, plenty of steamy scenes and a great story line this has been a thoroughly enjoyable read.

I have downloaded the first 2 books in the series because I am completely hooked!
