Neanderthal Marries Human (Knitting in the City, #1.5)Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid

It was fun to be back with Quinn and Janie. Janie I felt like I already understood and knew well but in this book I really got to know Quinn better. Quinn's softer side, seen through his love for Janie shone through, but he's funny in his grumpiness. There is nothing boring or predictable about Janie and Quinn's journey to the aisle, Janie is the queen of self-sabotage, wanting to test their relationships limits. Oh the heat, it was mighty fine.

"You drive me crazy, and I don't have enough energy right now to argue with you about how nuts you are."

The humour in this book is exactly what I've come to expect from Penny Reid, unexpected, witty with lines that most couldn't think up. Janie is a delight in her quirkiness but there is something a little more grounded and settled about her now she's found Quinn and is secure with him. The friendships in this book are everything. Girlfriends are the key to a woman's life and Penny Reid translates this beautifully in this series. These woman are real, funny, bizarre and have each other's backs. I look forward to reading about the different characters to come.

"To friendscorts. Like escorts, but without the cash."

Cheers, Penny Reid, I hold a glass up to you for the smiling and chuckling I did throughout this book.
