Maybe Never by Sadie Allen

REVIEWED BY Becky Cox

Maybe NeverMaybe Never by Sadie Allen
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maybe Never is a YA/NA that deals with some pretty heavy subject matter that unfortunately a lot of teens have to deal with.

Judd has it all, until he doesn't. Adult decisions are made that effect him heavily among his peers. You can feel his frustration and sadness come off the page.

Sunny is the quiet student who keeps to herself. She has the strength and fortitude it takes to not be in the popular crowd and be okay.

I loved Sunny's character and her sass is entertaining. Her willingness to stand up for herself and people she cares about is heartwarming.

Judd, struggles never having been on the receiving end of the mean kids. I felt so sorry for him and wanted to give him a big ole hug.

Maybe Never is a current event story line but the author wove in some surprises and extra layers that really made this story. I truly enjoyed this book and wanted to do a little happy dance for them in the end.

Maybe....Ms. Allen will write us some Sunny and Judd's college years.
