Let the games begin. Five couples going on a cruise what could possibly go wrong? Hehe!! Just about everything.

Let's have some introductions but hopefully by now you know them all.

First up we have sexy couple Slate & Sammie.
Second we have intense love Taz & Lindsey.
Third we have dynamic duo Easton & Darcy
Fourth we have quiet but erotic, Colin & Ronnie.
And finally our fifth couple two male hotties, Eli & Cain.

I know that's quite a bunch, right? These guys have made for very interesting reading. I'd like to say I've been on an adventure but that's not quite the right word. I've got it, I've been on an incredible journey with these characters, to name a few, I've read about domestic violence, rape, drug busts, kidnapping, money laundering, brutal rape.
Welcome to the world of G-Men.

Even though at times it's been a tough ride these guys have brought laughter to this series. They so deserve a break and each of them have chemistry going on that will steam your glasses up.

Each couple has some kind of drama going on, nothing like what they have endured through the past. It's actually hilarious.
We have one G-Man having sea sickness, one wife being stung by a jellyfish, can you see where this is going.
Whoever said love was easy, these macho men and independent women just love a good argument because the make up sex is awesome.

I've become to understand these characters and fell in love with them all as I'm sure this is what the author intended.

The bonus scenes were great, it's always exciting knowing you can read more.
The fake chapter, well thank god it's fake because that is one way of ruining a fabulous story. I actually kept saying to myself this chapter is not real, it didn't happen. She's just showing you what happened before the story came together.
OMG!! The whole book is fiction, I've completely lost the plot. Just goes to show you how good this series is.

Solitary a word with various definitions. Confinement being one of them, to be totally isolated from life. Maybe locked in a room or a cell as punishment.
Lonely is another, someone who isolates themselves from others, existing through life unaccompanied.

While reading this book I found that I understood both sides of this definition and found them both equally sad.
I always endeavour to give an honest account in my review and I have to say that this story was overwhelmingly powerful.
A Solitary Man literally gripped my heart and squeezed it tight but yet I couldn't stop reading.

Xavier 'Xav' Constantine who's previously worked as an FBI agent now a deputy sheriff has possibly the worst job in the world but I guess someone has got to do it. He's working on a case dealing with child trafficking. These people are sadistic, pure evil. It's Xav's job to bring them to justice. Not an easy task considering the lengths these vicious, inhuman criminals will go to.

Chance Evan Fairchild an Assistant District Attorney is having a hard time keeping drugs out of Dare's Landing. His boss doesn't help matters by covering up the truth just to stay on top and stay on people's good graces in order to be re-elected.
Chance gets a bad feeling about things but is struggling with his own ghosts so things get pushed to the back of his mind.

One night Xav and Chance meet in a bar. Both strangers and Chance was definitely looking for a night of hot sex with no strings attached. Both these men are extremely handsome and can cause quite a stir. Xav is completely open about being Gay but Chance is still very much in the closet.

What happens next completely throws Chance, as he believed Xav to be a surfer. Well he has the body of a man that works out, who knew he was the new deputy, certainly not Chance. He has kept his personal life totally separate to business, never once dating anyone from the office,
so seeing Xav in the sheriffs building it comes as shock to say the least.

Xav and Chance end up working together, each with the goal to get the brutal, ruthless criminals who are involved in child trafficking and drugs brought to justice.

Although I found the story line difficult because of the issues discussed, I couldn't help but love that these two men became friends, I'd even say companions.

Xav has a way of bringing everyone together. The office is buzzing with activity, everyone pulling together to put a stop to these horrendous crimes.
You will meet all these characters, some more than others but all very much lovable for different reasons.

These two Authors really are exceptional writers. The story flowed, giving you just enough detail to imagine what the characters looked liked. How the scenes were set. There was plenty of mystery, a whole lot of suspense. One huge investigation that you will want to read to the end.

Overall I have to say that this story was gripping. Written beautifully and tactful since it deals with very delicate issues.
The two main characters Xav and Chance give this story the smiles and romance that is needed to carry on.

"It'll make all the difference in the world to you if you can save even one life."
Heartfelt and meaningful words spoken. This one line has kept me going while reading this book.

I leave you with my lasts thoughts. To reach your goals in life never give up. The outcome may not be what you wanted but always keep trying.

I went into Ghostwriter blind. I haven't read Kiara Delaney before and hadn't seen any teasers. I received an ARC for an honest review.

I was more than pleasantly surprised. I loved Kiara's writing style and her character development was great.

I connected more with the male lead than the female which is unusual for me, but pretty sure that was supposed to happen. (chuckle)

Devon is a journalist hired to write the memoirs of Nina, an ex-ballerina. He is a self-professed dominant.

Nina is spoiled and emotional and sometimes I want to just grab her up and spank her (in a parental way, get your mind out of the gutter).

The cliffhanger at the end is huge, ginormous and came out of nowhere! Completely did not see that coming!

Great read and I can't wait for the next installment!

This is my favourite Rock Chick so far. Roxie and Hank are a compelling couple together and as individuals. The story starts at 100 mph and doesn't let up to till the end. You could think this too fast, but the pace is perfect and I was committed to the ride from start to finish. The Rock Chick series hits the humour button perfectly, with witty banter between the many characters, old and new. Equally, it clicks into poignant and serious dialogue and takes your breath away.

Roxie has been with the baddest bad boy, Billy, for seven years. She's been trying to extricate herself from this relationship for the last few years but to no avail. She started planning her escape plan some time ago. This plan brought her to Denver, into the land of Fortnum's, Uncle Tex and the couches full of hot men. Hank's whisky eyes catch Roxie immediately, but she can't afford any more complications. The drama is exciting, the dialogue is pure entertainment and the characters make you want to magic Fortnum's to life. I even loved the dog.

Cassidy Arbor is engaged to Jason McNamara. Right from the start you know their relationship just isn't right. In a chance meeting she gets a glimpse of a man that makes her body sizzle and take notice.

Jason takes her home to meet his family and she discovers that other man is Jason's brother, Chase. Chase also knows something is off with their relationship.

Chase and Cassidy are deeply attracted to each other with feelings that are running deeper every day.

Cass ends with her life in a whirlwind, full of twists and turns that leaves us in a cliff-hanger.

In fact, when I read this book I did not realize it was part of a 2 part series and it really did throw me with the cliff hanger. I really want to know what happens in Cass's life.

This book pulled me in from the beginning and I can't wait to read #2.

This is book 2 in the Uncovering Love Series, though I think it could be a stand alone.

In the first book Jon and Evie start their own Private Investigation Business. Jon, Evie and Kate have been best friends since school. Jon and Evie run the business out of the apartment that they share. Evie fell in love with Tate, whom she was investigating in the first book.

Jon and Kate constantly snip at each other when they are in close vicinity. With all that snipping you know there's underlying sexual tension. Jon has a hard time with how Kate acts and says things that hurt her without meaning too. Typical guy.... not thinking before speaking.

He finally 'sees' behind her act and watch out...it gets HOT.

I really like that we got to revisit with Evie and her man, Tate and we get to know Tate's sister, Carly better. I can't wait for her book. This is a great series.

He woke in a hospital with amnesia and severe head trauma. He is hired by Curtis's cousin Joann's huband, Peter Bolwin to portray Curtis. Peter needs Cinda to sign divorce papers that she thought was already finalized. He and cousin Brian are trying to take over the company that Curtis's father runs. They won't let anything or anyone stand in their way.

There are a lot of twists and turns in the book. I was pulled in from the first and absolutely loved it.

Monica Montgomery is a widow raising three kids. Her deceased husband was in the military but was killed in a motorcycle accident when he was home. She meets Jason Knight, an Orthopedic Surgeon, when he performs surgery on her 12 year old son's knee.

Jason is instantly attracted to Monica. It takes a little bit for Monica to risk opening up herself with someone else. I thought that Dan, her deceased husband, even though he loved his family came across as being a little self centered. I loved that Jason puts Monica first.

They do have some rocky parts. You're going to when you have teenage children involved and past baggage. Which makes this story so believeable and realistic.

I loved the characters in the book and how they entertwined with each other

Sloth drew me in like watching a train wreck that you can't look away from; you know it is going to crash and burn you just don't know how. Ella keeps you guessing until the end.

Cleo is humorous and quick witted. She also has some deep pain and secrets.

Kevin Walsh is beautiful and alluring. He also has pain and secrets.

See....train wreck.

Ella made me laugh but she also hurt my heart. The characters are well developed and made me hurt for them.

“We’re not meant to be alone. We’re made with holes inside our souls. The only way to survive is to fill them. I think the catch is, you don’t get to choose with what.”

These two are on fire when they are together. I think the corner of my kindle melted a bit.

Sloth is one of those books that alter you forever; that you think back on from time to time; that makes you look at the world and people just a little bit different. It isn't pretty. It isn't hearts and flowers. It is soul changing and heart breaking and beautiful.

January Cooper is the top of the food chain until it all falls apart. She is a rich spoiled brat that is now broke and homeless.

Christian Cutlass was the number NHL draft pick until it was all taken away during a tragic car accident.

Both of these characters had some growing and maturing to do. There are a few times I could shake January until her brain snapped. I realize some of it is a defense mechanism. Still wanted to choke her a couple times. She is entertaining with her witty comebacks.

Christian needed a good swift kick in the arse. He was in pain, figuratively and literally. He ran hot and cold with January. Doing something really nice, then being a complete jerk.

January and Christian's journey was one of self discovery. The Fall of January Cooper was humorous but also dealt with some serious issues that tugged at my heart.

This book was 'BBB'. What's that you ask? Brutal but brilliant. I swear to god I thought I was having a panic attack at one point.
My hand was rubbing my chest, my heart rate was through the roof.

I honestly don't know how this author writes such epic stories. I couldn't have been more invested in this book. I felt every possible emotion.

It's a story of great love and passion with grave danger thrown into the mix.
G-Man, Taz is the greatest hero, going against all the rules to save the woman he so desperately loves.

Taz is a man whore correction he was a man whore but being young and single he's entitled to do as he wishes. Taz works along side Slate who we met in book one. Actually Slate is Taz's supervisor but they are very good friends. Guaranteed to have each other's backs when going undercover.

Lindsey is the daughter of Samantha, such a sweet girl. She's an innocent but wise. Lindsey longs to know what it feels like to be loved in every sense of word.

All the family receive some devastating news and seek comfort in each other but who's Lindsey got? Unable to cope she seeks comfort in Taz, in my opinion he was exactly the guy to go to. Macho but caring, strong but loving.

Things become strange in Lindsey's life. Taz becomes very protective of her but us women never listen, perhaps sometimes we should.

The unthinkable happens and when I say unthinkable I mean this literally. I didn't want to imagine the scene I was reading but I didn't have any choice. The writing isn't graphic but by god it didn't need to be.

Tears of sadness rolled down my face, I felt sick to my stomach but yet I couldn't stop reading. If my husband had of been home, he would have told me to stop reading. Thank god he wasn't and thank god I didn't because although I struggled with the brutal act of violence, I'm very happy with how the story panned out.

I highly recommend you read this book. Why you ask? Well quite frankly you have not read an epic story till you've read this.
Andrea Smith will draw you in and you are guaranteed to connect with these characters.
I dare you to read it.

GEEZ!! First of all I thought 'G' stood for gorgeous well actually it could because G-Men seem to have a certain level of hotness, so powerful and oozing sex appeal you can't help but be attracted to the them.

The G-Man is this first book of the series is called Slate and by god this man is magnificent. He's the bad guy and good guy roll into one. On first meeting him in this story I was unsure of his motives. He seemed to be a nice guy but came across very crude at times. Nothing like acting out your day job to it's full potential.

Diamond girl A.K.A Sunny, Sammie, Samantha is a beautiful woman living a miserable life. From being very young she has cared for her only daughter who she loves with all her heart as parents should but her daughter, Lindsey came along after a night I am sure she has tried to forget and definitely made excuses for.
The night Lindsey was conceived, her mother Samantha had said no to the RB A.K.A Jack but he being the selfish, deluded man he is took no notice and took exactly what he wanted from Samantha.

Jack was more or less forced to marry Samantha by her father. She had a beautiful home and a beautiful daughter but the love that was lacking in her marriage made life depressing for her. Once Lindsey left for college, Samantha was at a loss. It was time to find herself and find herself she did.

This story is one that delves into domestic violence and even rape. It doesn't go into great detail and for that I am thankful but you get the idea of what is going on. The author has dealt with these issues with tact and sensitivity.

Jack is the worst kind of male. A bully to his own wife, a sleaze, a criminal, a wife beater, a rapist. I mean Jesus! he is such a lowlife. The only good to come out of that man was Lindsey.

Samantha starts exercising, building up her self confidence and boy does she excel. She takes on the role of a pole dancer, she has become one hot moma.
She doesn't need the money, this is just something for her. A secret that she loves and is very good at.

She meets Slate while working in a club. He comes across as being very protective of her and she kind of likes it, plus she can't help but drool over him, I mean he's just so strong and gorgeous. The eyes can't hide from this man.

Long story short these two have a whole world of trouble heading their way. Samantha is in for the shock of her life. Slate can't seem to function without her even though he's got someone else servicing him, I know, right? well you will understand all once reading this book.

It's a totally awesome read. I mean this author has never failed me yet. She literally draws me into her stories, I forget everything and everyone around me. Then when I finish all I can think about is starting the next book.

This is a must read, add it to your TBR, better yet download immediately. You will want to keep reading. If you haven't picked up a book by this author then you are missing out.

God I love a great paranormal romance. Shifters are one of my favourites. It's got to be the strong alpha male that draws me in, that and a great story line.
M/M romance is just like reading M/F, I suppose it depends on how open minded you are.
For me there's nothing hotter than two hot male shifters in love.
When I am reborn, I am coming back as a male, hopefully able to shift and of course I will be gay, LOL. I know I'm crazy but I get so into these books, I can't help but imagine what it would be like.

In this third book of 'The Mates Series' we are introduced to Samuel Goodwin and Korban Keller both will one day be alpha's of the packs.
When Samuel was of a young age he met Korban and never trusted him, there was something that didn't sit well with him. Korban made him feel weird, he struggled when being near him but Korban insisted they play out together, he wanted to be Samuel's friend.

Years went by and Samuel only seen Korban a couple of times and that suited him fine. He was to busy learning what it meant to become an alpha. How to be there for his people but he was lacking in certain areas. He needed to feel compassion and love, understanding of feelings. Although he was very knowledgeable of the shifter histories and would learn everyone's name, their children's names, what they did, where they lived it was no good, unless he could connect to his people, he knew he wouldn't make a great alpha.

Korban knew from a young age that Samuel was his true mate but he wanted to give Samuel space and time for him to realize what Korban meant to him. Unfortunately Samuel couldn't see, he thought something was off about Korban.

Something devastating happen and it brought Korban and Samuel together but not in a good way. Samuel wanted to kill the alpha, seeking revenge for an unjust crime but Samuel never expected it to be Korban. He was struggling with his emotions, he couldn't understand what was going on.
Korban ended up being Samuel's prisoner, this was a sad time when reading, wondering what was going to happen and Samuel really was struggling. He believe himself to be a monster. He just couldn't hold back any longer and took what he wanted from Korban.

Once Korban had a chance to break through Samuel's barriers life started to become clearer, not easier but definitely things started to make sense.
Korban and Samuel were true mates, the greatest gift a shifter could receive.

True mates will do anything to protect their mates, even kill. The mind can not think past anything other than to rip the head off any person who dares to hurt them.

Samuel and Korban make such a great couple, I wish they had of mated sooner and it would of saved so much heartache but then that's what makes this story so good.

I have loved each book in this series and hope that one day there will be another. The only question that remains is. What happened to the lasagna? LOL. Your thinking what is she talking about, well that would be telling but let me just say, if you put a lasagna in the oven then it's got to come out, right?

The life of a shifter is written before they are even born. You are brought into the community and only interact with other shifters, you grow up learning their ways and once you become a man you choose your mate or if you're lucky you meet your one true mate. The women are a little different, they grow hoping to meet a strong shifter that will in turn help them shift.

What happens if you're born a shifter but are unable to shift? Ethan has never been like the other shifters. For the last twenty years he's struggled to be like the rest.
Shifters are not supposed to leave the land and go into town, never mind talk to a vampire but this is exactly what Ethan does. He is drawn to a vampire called Miguel.
Miguel makes Ethan feel better, happy and healthy. He feels stronger when they are together.

Nothing can stop Ethan from leaving and seeking out Miguel. He believes he is his intended mate and will be by his side.
A shifter and a vampire being true mates has never been heard of.
His sister believes he is special and will have a great life. She is the only one in the whole pack that supports him in his decision.

Miguel doesn't understand how he can feel the way his does about Ethan but he can't stay away. They are the perfect match, in all his years of living he's never felt like this. He feels the ultimate connection with Ethan, the instincts to protect his mate are so strong. He almost feels human when being with his mate. Ethan tries to explain what it means to find your true mate. It's very rare special to find the other half of you. They will become one and share each others strengths.

A shifter mating with a vampire is going to cause some problems for sure but nobody messes with Miguel or should I say if they are stupid enough to try then god help them.

The romance in this story really is beautiful. Two powerful males making out is just as about as hot as it gets but you can feel the love, its a powerful combination.

If you love a paranormal romance involving shifters this is the book for you. The story is brilliant and will keep you turning the pages. Not everyone understands the love that two men can have for one another, nor understand the world of shifters but really what is to understand. Love is love in any shape or form.

Dirty English by Ilsa Madden-Mills 4*

This was a great read for me. The author drew me in to the story and I thoroughly enjoyed the interactions between Declan and Elizabeth (and Dax!). I have a bit of a weakness for accents and even in the written form, it gets to me!

I really liked the secondary characters and I wonder if the author has any intention of giving them a story too - Dax needs one!

I think my main problem (not that it's really a problem) was that the relationship grew very quickly, things escalated quickly and so on. I would have enjoyed it that little bit more had there been a slow build.

I definitely recommend this book and look forward to reading more from this author.

This was a boxset of three shorter stories in a series. The premise for this story is pretty everyday which was quite appealing; three friends, girl in love with boy for forever, boy oblivious until he isn't. However, this has an older feel, as the characters are more mature at late 20s, established in their careers and truly focused on their friendship being more like family. I quickly got drawn into the story and connections.

Both Luke and Ashleigh were likeable characters. Luke lacked some depth and self awareness especially in the first story, but he did seem to develop as a person and a character as the second book progressed. Ashleigh was a little annoying with her self-destruct button, I didn't understand some of her decisions. The books ebbed and flowed, with some parts that seemed to lack momentum. Overall, the series was a good read with characters you could identify with.

If this is your genre, you're going to love it. This book keeps you on your toes, thinking what is next. It has everything you need for a good story with brilliant writers - Denise Grover Swank being one of my favourites. It has action, suspense, twists and turns, blood and gore, right and wrong, good and bad. And a whole lot in between.

These girls had to find their footing with each other but once they did - brilliant and unstoppable. One is out to rid the world of monsters just like herself - vampires, and the other is a journalist wanting to uncover the conspiracy her best friend told her about. This is not your typical vampire adventure, there are no sparkles but plenty of combat.

This is the first book in the series and I think anyone would find this story compelling and I would recommend it highly.

Lily's story is very dark. The abuse that she receives is a very real occurrence and happens to people every day. I think Margaret did a great job of describing the abuse and portraying Lily's emotions and thoughts. Most people cannot understand why a woman in her situation would not just leave. Margaret explains it through Lily.

I like that Lily had Max, Shayne, and Liam. They were great characters and the little bit of light they brought into such a dark book was definitely needed.

There were a few things I would have liked to see done differently in the book, but overall I enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

Kim is an independent, successful woman. I liked that she didn't need a hero to fix everything for her. Leo is down on his luck, but he's determined to work hard for what he wants. I liked that attribute in his character as well.

I have not read the rest of this series, but after reading this one, I intend to do so. I enjoyed the story and I enjoyed the writing style. I liked having the point of view from Kim, Leo, and Wilson. Sometimes it's nice to not have to make assumptions as to what the characters are thinking.

I recommend this book!

Wow! This was an incredibly intense read for me and one that I was not entirely prepared for.

McHeyzer brings forth a very sensitive topic in this book that I haven't really read about in-depth before and for that reason, it was at times, a difficult read. There were so many times that I just wanted to shake Lily in this book! I wanted her to to see the light, for her to recognize her own worth, and frankly, to grow a pair but she had to get there in her own way. I daresay, much like real-life, outsiders can see the situation much clearer and more objectively than those involved. I think the author did a brilliant job with this book. I think she treated the topic with respect and did it a great justice.

The book may have triggers for some, otherwise highly recommend.

This is book one in a new serial by fantastic team, Taryn Elliott and Cari Quinn.

I'm just going to point-blank say that I loved this. It's a big departure from what this duo usually deliver; there's less angst and more lighthearted moments while still featuring a heroine that comes with a side of sass and a sexy, broody hero.

I'm not going to get into what the book is about, because it really just needs to be read. But I will say that this is a great, quick read (but let me reiterate that it is a serial!) that has really left me wanting more. I can't wait for the next few books and I really can't wait to see what develops between Blake and Grace.

Another exciting read and spin-off of the much-loved Legal Affairs series.

As always, Bennett delivers a great storyline with characters you can't help but like and want more from. Leary and Reeve are both lawyers - opposing sides of the same case, working for firms that have very different values - which makes things very exciting from the get-go. Their first meeting was pretty hot and it definitely set the tone for their story. I love that all of Bennett's boys are so sweet, sexy and total alpha hotness and I REALLY love that she has such kick-ass heroines. Both Reeve and Leary fit this to a tee. Secondary characters were very likable! I hope that Ford and Jenna both get a story at some stage.
I also really loved the legal-speak in this book! I daresay its all accurate given that Sawyer Bennett is a lawyer, but either way it had me enthralled. A great addition to this series and definitely recommended.

The Chaos series continues in consistent quality of plot, writing and dialogue KA style and the ability to provoke feelings. This book truly packs an emotional punch, especially in the first half. There was a point in the book where I took a break because my heart felt bruised by the emotions of Millie and Logan. I very rarely cry at books but this one evoked a teary response.

The characters, Millie and Logan are in their early 40s, they are both passionately resistant to a second-chance reconciliation. Kristen Ashley is so good at writing couples in this age range and I really enjoyed their life experience, leading to the point of reconnecting. By this point in their lives, they have weighty baggage and they have changed from the people they used to be.

Kristen Ashley weaves other characters into the story beautifully. Can I just say how much I loved Deb. She was beyond cool and brought an interesting dynamic to the relationships in the book. Kellie was another character that I was intrigued by and I would love to see a book about her in the future. The usual crew of old ladies feature, kicking up a storm and mess with sometimes misplaced assistance. This was a truly great addition to the Chaos series.

This was a bit of a roller coaster read for me because I initially couldn't connect with the story. It was a roller coaster because it went upwards and finished on a high. One thing I know about Sawyer Bennett is that in addition to well written hockey players, she also writes a mean legal romance. I loved her legal affairs series. This book opens up a legal world in a different state, introducing Leary and Reeve. They're opposing counsel in a big medical malpractice case and meet in an unforgettable way.

This book speeds into the stream which is very well written and enjoyable but I think it delayed my connection with the main characters. As the book progressed, I got sucked in and they had such a story to tell. Reeve was a character I really liked but wanted to know a little better. There's no doubt that if this is part of a series, and I hope it is, that I'll be coming back for more.

This was my first read by Soraya Lane and it was a book packed with emotion. The blurb grabbed me and immediately highlighted that love and loss is on the menu. Lila and Grey, a military couple are killed in a car accident. Their children are left to Bella, their aunt and Noah their parents most trusted friend. Noah and Bella have met over the years and not got on at all. Noah is a navy SEAL intermittently on deployment so suddenly having children to care for and being a dad doesn't really fit into the single, military life he has carved out for himself. The author was able to include Lila and Grey into the story very well and I felt a connection to those two as well. There were a few unanswered questions which was a little frustrating.

I spent much of the first part of this book irritated with Bella and Noah, mostly because they didn't really get on but this was realistic, they were plunged into co-parenting and working through early grief. I came to like both of these characters and the journey they traveled. There were some tear-jerkering moments.

I do, Jake. I most definitely do, sadly Jake doesn't, he only has eyes for, Beth. Lacy on the other hand, I'm just her type. What? Fabiola Francisco the queen of romantic HEA has written a F/F? Sadly no, Lacy is a lesbian character. Actually she's a really fun girl, so watch this space. I see a novella of F/F on the horizon. Just dropping a huge hint there.
I've been looking forward to reading Beth's story after being introduced to her character from 'Sweet on Wilde'.
Jake is the hottest bar tender in town and guess who he wants in his bed. Yep he wants the gorgeous Beth.
In the beginning Beth thinks Jake is just messing around but it soon becomes clear that he actually does want to take her out on a real date.
It's always fun in the beginning. Beth and Jake have so much fun together.
They are a match made in heaven or so I thought. Sadly the first disagreement which turns into a fight leaves them going their separate ways.
They are both completely miserable. Beth can't even get out of bed as she's so heart broken. The bakery is left to Lacy to run while she mourns her loss.
Beth knows she needs to snap out of it, she has responsibilities but if you've ever had your heart broken you'll know it's painful. That sickly feeling in the pit of your stomach. Losing your appetite, feeling like there's no hope. It's a sad time and everyone around you wants to make you feel better but nothing works.
Only time will mend Beth's heart. She will always love Jake but time will make it easier.
Poor Jake looks how Beth feels. God it's just awful.
I know what your thinking. Well if they both love each other so much why are they not together. Well it's simple one of them wants something that the other doesn't.
I need a whiskey. I don't drink it to be honest but Beth loves it.
This book was so close to real life. Anyone can connect with this story. I loved it. It's has laugh out loud moments and feelings of sadness. The sex is off the charts HOT!
It's an all round brilliant read.

Eluding Illusions was a humorous, action packed entertaining fantasy/paranormal romance book.

Emma is a great female lead who is quick witted and kicka**. She finds herself in a bit of spot as a result of the family gypsy curse. A demonic creature is after her and she knows better than to get involved but her long time on-line friendship/dating with JG1988 is becoming a real relationship. She has a lot of explaining to do.

Jake is a hot tamale and sings to boot. Yum.

A great original story line (to me anyway) with the gypsy curse and magick of a different sort. A great piece of writing to set the scenery and develop the characters without overwhelming me with information which tends to happen in paranormal books. No worries with that here, Wren Michael had the perfect amount of both and kept me turning pages.

An entertaining read that I would be happy to suggest to my friends.

I've just re-read this, having originally read it nearly 10 years ago. I had forgotten much of the detail but I can say this book was like a magnet, I couldn't look away. It is a bittersweet tale of love, grief and relationships. There are a number of sections in this book that pack such an emotional punch, that it takes your breath away and floods your eyes. Koomson has a very inviting writing style; I felt drawn in close to the characters.

Adele is gravely ill and needs to ensure her daughter Tegan has guardianship. She hasn't spoken to her best friend Kamryn for two years. She has a big request to ask.

The blurb is clear that tough reading is ahead but there are many unexpected twists and turns. This is the kind of read that sticks with you but I don't choose to read them all the time. Just utterly memorable.

Wow
I feel so emotional after reading the last page on Fallen Angel part 3. Is it a concluding story?, I would say in a way, but the author has left the option to perhaps come back in the not so distant future and write more about Robert and Brooke.
I feel I have been on a long journey with these characters, I've learnt so much about their past, their lives, their feelings and emotions that I am a bit sad it's time to close the book.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the trilogy and certainly this book was filled with the trademarks or Ms Podger outstanding writing. There was drama, suspense, laughter, romance, and plenty of passion to keep us reading till the end.
I will certainly miss Mr. Intense but I was glad I got to see his charming and softer side a plenty in this last instalment.

There isn't a Linda Kage book I haven't enjoyed so far. I've read these Forbidden Men books out of order and I'm glad I've retreated to catch the ones I missed. Pick might just be my favourite of her male heroes. He's a free soul, protective without being a total idiot and there's something just so likeable about him. It definitely has something to do with his love for his step son. Eva grew on me. She wasn't portrayed as the most constant in character in 'Price of a kiss' but being pregnant has made her grow up. These two worked well together even though there were barriers in the way.

"I sniffed up my emotions and stepped into the apartment, feeling almost disconnected from my body because I was so completely submerged in this moment. I never wanted it to end. I wanted to frame it and hang it on the ceiling over my bed, so I could look at it and relive it again and again, every night for the rest of my life before I went to sleep."

Go read this series, it's worth it.

Translucent left me with a pretty big cliffy but luckily I only read it a few weeks ago so I didn't have to wait long for the sequel.

I love Blake and Madden. I love that the story line is different and kept me on the edge of my seat.

It was a stay up all night read that has made me sleepy at work today. Well it and the wine. (wink)

Blake was taken from Madden and he will do any and everything to get her back. She desperately wants to see him one more time to tell him something urgent that she never told him before.

I have a soft spot for Raze as well. I think he is just a victim of his environment.

Nail biting twist at the end. Truly enjoyed this read and would highly recommend it. Thanks Erin for a great adventure!
