Native Tongue by Lucy Felthouse

REVIEWED BY Isa Jones

Native Tongue (Desert Heat #2)Native Tongue by Lucy Felthouse
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received and ARC by the Author in exchange of an honest review.

This is the second instalment and we see how the relationship between Hugh and Rustam develops once they are back on British soil
It is easy to think that once they are back in England and there is no more the need to sneak around and keep their emotions hidden from the prying eyes of the army that all will be like a walk in the park. However, both characters haven't come out to their respective families and friends. Also something which I found so cute was that they have to deal with the fact that neither of them has been able to experience going out in public, and this is a hurdle that they try to overcome very fast. I loved this part of the book as both characters are free to explore and get to know each other. Not only would they have to get use to being in a new relationship but also they will have to overcome the challenges that being together represent. In order to be completely free they will have to face their fears, let go of their insecurities and be honest to themselves and everyone around them. The Battle indeed isn't over it has just begun.

Another formidable book. It was perfectly written and it ticked all the boxes to make it a great M/M romance story. The characters are well portrayed and the chemistry is off the charts!
