Follow Me Back (Fight for Me, #2)Follow Me Back by A.L. Jackson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I am the proud owner of all books by A.L. Jackson and Follow Me Back is one of my most valued possessions. This book is a treasure.

Forget about the Hot and Sexy Doctor, the super badass heroine or the cutest little boy who will melt your heart. This is a compelling story about taking a risk on Love and finding a Hero when you least expect it.

Hottie Doctor Kale Bryant lives for his work. He submerges day in day out into his patients needs and leaves very little time for the casual interaction or get together with his friends. All of which are settled down and have found happiness with their significant others. For Kale seeing them is a constant reminder of what he can't have. Of what he isn't deserving of. Life has taught him a painful lesson and has ripped him of his chance to a happy life, so he denies himself the opportunity to get close to anyone. Until the day he meets Hope...

After a terrible breakup, Hope has taken control of her life. Being a single mum is no easy task, specially to a child who has a disability. She has experienced heartache and life has shown her the meaning of being disillusioned, but in spite of all the trials and tribulations, she has learnt to fight for her son and is desperate to build a home for them. She is not looking to get involved with anyone. She knows she is better alone. It is just too complicated...Until the day Kale comes into her coffee shop.

Both Kale and Hope have built concrete walls around their harts and so they embark in a game of pull and push, the risk is too high and letting go comes with a long list of complications but you know what they say, Complications be damn.

This has been my favourite book of this series and with so many elements I couldn't help but fall madly in love with all the characters which Amy made sure they could bring to the surface a raw and powerful delivery, allowing them to leave me with a lasting impression even when the last page had been read. So far this is my top recommendation for 2018 and will remain an unforgettable journey and one I wished I would never have to let go.

Thank You for allowing me to read and review this book. And congratulations for such a wonderful story!

5 STARS. Isa for Joandisalovebooks Blog.
