Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Handling Haven (Kindle Worlds) (Deimos Book 1)Special Forces: Operation Alpha: Handling Haven (Kindle Worlds) by Samantha A. Cole
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A crossover of Deimos, Trident Security and Delta Force Team=amazing!

I can't say that this is could be a stand alone as I have read all the books in the Trident Security and Delta Force series and was pretty excited to reconnect with them in this book. All that Alpha in one book is almost too much to handle!

Haven Caldwell, operative of Deimos, is injured on assignment. Lucas (Frisco) Ingram, Delta Force member protects Haven after she's down and gets her to safety. Haven asked him to do that unthinkable. He's now living with guilt thinking he made her injury worse. Haven is now in a wheelchair and presently is not in a good space. She's very angry and shutting everyone out. After some 'tough love' from Jordyn Haven starts to fight to regain her life.

Frisco has felt a connection to Haven from their first moment and would like to have a relationship beyond work. Haven has to believe in herself before they can get there. She sees herself as someone pitied. She doesn't see herself a desirable woman.

With these teams working together there is lots of action and intrigue. Personally, I don't think you could want much more in a book than what is in this one.

I love that we got to reconnect with all the characters and their lives.

What I really love about Samantha A Cole is that she has a way of writing that pulls you into the story that keeps you invested into the very end. This is a story you will not be putting down.

I have a rule, if it's written by Samantha I am reading it!
