The Other Brother by Meghan Quinn
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Have you seen this cover, oh it fits this character to a T! Aaron Walters is one special man indeed. Between the three best friends, Smalls is the most sensitive and wears his heart on his sleeve. He is a very confident man, although he still feels like the underdog compared to his brothers. He is so sweet and caring but he doesn’t see his self worth. Nevertheless, he has set himself up very well, he’s in a nice neighborhood and has renovated his home and it’s not so janky either. Life is looking up for him, and he is achieving so many goals in his life, until his new neighbor arrives.
Amelia, petite, sweet Amelia has come home to attend to her fathers ailing health. I adored her from the beginning. She has this natural familiar feel about her. For such a small woman, she has a huge heart, with tones of compassion. She is devoted to her job and family and supports them through tough times. She knows what heartache feels like and doesn’t want to go down that road again. As time heals all wounds, timing is also a factor in the outcome for this couple. Hopefully with time, Aaron will accept he is just as much of an ardent suitor as Amelia knows he is.
This book is a standalone and told in dual POV. It has ties to two other standalone novels, by being best friends. Even though we think this might be the end of this set, I feel there could be two more books coming our way. Or it is my hope anyways that Amanda and Trey have their stories brought to light. These books all have a warm-hearted feel with some angst and solace but more importantly for me, banter and humor. Even though the previous one is my favourite, I have given them all 5🌟’s. Each is different but deserving of it. This one ends with a touching dedication which highlights sections of the book. Love this author’s work, admire her courage and cherished reading Aaron and Amelia’s tale.
