The Outpost (Jamison Valley #4)The Outpost by Devney Perry
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The Outpost is Book 4 in the Jamison Valley Book. I feel this could easily be a stand alone but highly recommend you read the books in order as I feel as a reader you'll connect more with the characters.

I feel that Sabrina comes across as little self centered. She's running for her life and ends up in Jamison Valley at with her best friend, Felicity. When a person is scared they don't think rationally or look at the big picture of the danger they could bring to others. You just go to the person you love and feel safe with. Silas knows what type of danger could follow Sabrina and wants his lady Felicity as far away from it as possible. He gets his friends involved to protect and take care of Sabrina. Beau volunteers to take Sabrina to his secluded mountain cabin to hide her away to keep her safe. Beau is one in a million. He's basically putting his life on the line for a stranger who's life is in danger due to a situation she put herself in her investigative reporting.

As we read along we, as well as Sabrina, discover she has more depth and how strong she is. Not many people can stay by themselves cut off from civilization and not go crazy. I think her time alone gave her time to gain perspective of her life.

Even though Beau and Sabrina are from two different world's they seem to gel. Their attraction slowly builds to sizzle, which when they act on it practically burns the pages up.

What I really liked about this book is the intrigue and suspense. There are a few moments that has you holding your breath as you read along to see what the outcome is.

I was super proud of Sabrina when she held her own when faced with pure evil.

I absolutely loved the end when both Sabrina and Beau are willing to leave their current lives behind for the other.
