My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Death of the Body is fantasy, paranormal with a bit of horror thrown in for good measure.
Chiantaretto takes a twist on religious elements that I have not read before. It was interesting and I had to reread a few paragraphs to get it in my brain.
Edmund survives quite a few tragedies in his life and experiences horrors no child should have to see. His journey takes him to new places and new friends that are oddly familiar.
The demons after him don't give up and he is now on a mission to find out what really happened to him at the orphanage and how he arrived in California before they succeed in killing him.
This book was a different adventure than I have read before and I enjoyed the twist. I look forward to reading the next installment.
I received a copy for an honest review.
