REVIEWED BY Monique Cashmere
The Foxe & the Hound by R.S. Grey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
4.5*'s
Again, this Rom-Com was a hoot to read. Madeleine Thatcher is the sister of Lucas from Anything You Can Do. And her best friend is his now wife, Daisy. These two girls together are hysterical. I love them. They are there for each other in a time of need, but also know how to have some fun too.
Madeleine (this happens to be my mum's name!) is a smart and intelligent woman that is having a bit of a struggle with life. She thought she would add to the drama by getting a shelter dog to keep her company. Even though they told her the puppy was a handful, he was too adorable to let go. So Mouse came home with her. Being a responsible dog owner, she has to take Mouse to the vet for his puppy shots, and meets the new guy in town, Adam Foxe.
Adam has left Chicago behind and everything bad that happened there. He is in Hamilton to be with his family and start a fresh. One thing he is not ready for is the hot mess that is Madeleine! There is plenty of tension between these two, sexual tension that is. A little bit of miscommunication and a whole lot of banter will have you laughing along with the story. I really enjoyed the flow of this book and the way they came together. I especially love Mr Boggs! But Adam is the true hero and I loved everything about him.
If you are a fan of R.S. Grey, you are going to love this book. If it is your first time reading her, again, you are going to love it. She is one of those authors that just does Rom-Coms so well.
