Dare by Allie Juliette Mousseau

REVIEWED BY Monique Cashmere

Dare (Brothers of Ink and Steel #1)Dare by Allie Juliette Mousseau
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Josh has issues, as a 16 year old boy, his best friend dies by committing suicide from being bullied. It causes all sorts of havoc at home and he is then sent to live with his Uncle Cade to let of steam and hone his abilities. Nine years later, Josh who is now a MMA title holder and a part time fire fighter, has a fall saving a boy from a burning house. Three years after leaving her abusive cop husband, Sophie is asked to treat Josh's injuries. She signs a three month contract to be his masseuse, with some amazing clauses.

Sophie has an infatuated stalker, and that's not her abusive husband. Josh has never felt like this for any women and it confuses him. Will she accept him, even with his troubled past? Will he understand her insecurities due to her ex-husband?

This book had me drawn in from the start. I enjoyed these characters because they had such intensity and affection toward each other. It was clear from the start it wasn't going to be an easy ride for their relationship. But I don't think anyone saw what was ahead of them. Josh is the type of guy that is loyal, caring and being a MMA fighter, you want him on your side! Maybe this is the guy that Sophie can trust?

I received a copy for an honest review.
