Discovering Stella by K.M. Golland

REVIEWED BY Kari Cox

Discovering StellaDiscovering Stella by K.M. Golland
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was gifted a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Stella is running from her past. She wants to keep it a secret from her new life to keep from having to face it. The book keeps you guessing on what it is she’s running from. While she’s trying to pretend her past didn’t happen, Lawson Drake comes into her life and disrupts her denial. He wants to make her happy again and tries to make her face her past, but every time he thinks he’s made progress she pushes him away.

I enjoyed this book. The rough around the edges bad boy being sweet was endearing. Stella’s struggle will break your heart, but the happiness Lawson is able to instill is sweet. Beyond the sappy, the sarcasm Lawson and Stella share is comical. Todd and Meg have some cute interactions as well. The protectiveness of Todd and Lawson is charming. K.M. includes some added laughs and some added drama to the main story line. I would recommend this read.
