This book had so much to live up to on the tails of The Selection and The Elite and whilst it was good, it was also a little frustrating in equal measure. Maxon and America continued to dance the same dance around one another; do they love each other, do they not? The plot was good and I enjoyed the insight further into the Northern Rebels. The final four of the elite found some common ground in this book and it was good to see some camaraderie develop between them.
This book has affection, lust, blood, death, lies, duplicity and a number of twists and turns. The last 10% of the book was worth the wait and looking back at the series as a whole this is great YA dystopia.
I was provided a copy of this book from the publisher in return for an honest review.
